After the Vulcan rework, I have been seeing this a lot. I don't understand why.

Maybe they just want to say...

Stop healing them.  Maybe they will get the message.

I've thought about this for a while, even when this was happening before the rework. On one hand, if I don't heal them, they may get upset with me and it may change nothing with their mindset of expecting to be healed if there is an Isida around, while also decreasing my score plenty since I have no protection and my mobility is very limited to get to other allies in need.

On the other hand, if I keep healing them, it would very likely be me condoning their behaviour, but it would give me score and protection, especially when I'm strapped for time when doing missions or need stars.

so wait, an isida which heals an overheating vulcun does not get experience/battle points?

Yeah, Isida no longer receives battle score from healing allies' self-damage. Did a pretty good job at dissuading random pet Isidas for Incendiary Band Vulcans pre-nerf. The same goes for self-damage from splash damage turrets.

you still don't see it?

9 out of ten battles won = wins nearly every match. what i had done was exaggerate and say that you win every match. i call it approximation.

did not you say that you win 9 out of 10 times the top most position on your team? even when your team is loosing very badly?

so i do not understand why you are complaining about differences in gear score found in an MM battle, because according to you, you win most of these battles.

“9 games out of 10 I will top score on my team, even when getting steamrolled.“

Top scoring =\= winning.  No one can carry an entire team and win a 1v8.

Can you read? The word win isn’t even in there.

could you please provide the patch notes link?

i would like to know more about this and test it out.

It is probably in one of the hidden Patch Notes. I believe Maf told me that those hidden are the ones that contain very minor fixes.

It happened sometime before Vulcan's overheating damage nerf, that's for sure.

Not your problem if they get upset.

If they complain - then you know they speak your language and then you can explain why you are not healing them.

Your score won't decrease much since you get very little from them as a lot of their damage is self-inflicted.  Heal otrhers instead.

Food for thought, anyway.

I get score when the overheating attracts enemy attention for them to shoot the Vulcan. Because my speed is low, my faster allies are often very far away and making the trek opens me up to damage or even being destroyed. And when they die right before I get there, then that's a free kill for the enemies. A few times, I've went 2 minutes into the battle and only getting 10 score from healing because unfortunate circumstances. The worst I've had was a Tribute battle where after 3 minutes, I amassed 14 score. That surprised me because the map was so small, but my spawn position and my allies' spawn positions were so unfortunately messed up there that after 3 minutes, I couldn't even pass 20 score.

I have to keep it really brief because action is always happening. I tell them to stop overheating, they don't listen though.

But how much score were you really getting from that vulcan?  half your time is spent healing damage you can't score from.  Maybe in those circumstances switch hull/turret.  Just not worth it sometimes.

Isida really is the turret most dependent on your team in terms of trying to score.  I think overall they need to re-visit Isida scoring.  I use it less and less all the time.

A good lot when there is a lot of damage being hurled at it, or enough to get 2 stars at least.

I've been in the mood to play Support Nanobots Isida these past 2 weeks, and urge more or less. It didn't help that I had a "deal damage" weekly mission during this time.

Perhaps. Just giving it more score may make what happened back in early 2019 happen again.

Firebird and Freeze players on my team coming up behind me or following me and tapping their fire button a few times (or holding it down) for some reason

Sometimes I think I'm under attack and either turn my turret around and attack them or waste an Overdrive

Don’t know if this belongs here, but I just played a siege game with 1 Viking and all dictators on the enemy team.  The Viking had its OD up every 30 seconds, partly due to capping boosting the recharge of the 7 dictator’s OD.

Dunno what my team was doing.

That is a tactic i have seen as well. Viking just thrives on dictator teammates. I know many people who create groups with 2 dictators and one viking,or 3 dictators and then just farm off each others overdrives. I have even been apart of these groups and know how OP one of these is in battle. I think that dictator should not give so much overdrive percentage to teammates. Developers should definitely lower it.

Agreed, I think changing the drug duration to 45 seconds is a pretty fair trade off.

I saw two Shooting Speed Regulator Vulcans overheating. That is abysmal. Before the rework, SSR would be the last Vulcan to overheat at all. At times, it was necessary as taking at least 1.5 seconds to stop shooting and start firing might leave you destroyed in that time in dire situations. After the rework, there is no excuse for overheating with that alteration. To stop firing and start again takes only 0.3 seconds.

-_-

DM Kolhoz. At midrank (I'm a Major), it's nothing more than a mosh pit of buyers with M3s spamming double damages one-shotting anybody who doesn't have a double armor on. Truly disappointing that the average tanker has to rely on supplies and money, not brains, to win.
