You missed the point - you are not expected to manhandle 8 enemies - or even 6.

He was suppressing enemy fire and numbers by destroying the defense. He's not the main player, but major support. I would LOVE to have this kind of player on my CTF team. Gives me a chance to grab the flag with little or no damage and I can save my supplies for the journey home. The ones I cannot stand are the ones that stay home and camp - not even checking/defending our own flag - those guys are just facing the enemy camp from afar and shooting at random, not covering the flag carrier. I mean, a Shaft or Smoky aiming at whatever gets near our flag is fine, we need those too.

 

Aggressive support by creating a 2nd front for the enemy is underappreciated.

I usually play a support role for my team. I have Vulcan/Titan. When it looks like my team is gearing up for an attack, I'll load a SB, try to sneak into enemy territory and start firing away. I may not get very many kills before I die, but that's not my aim. My aim is to reduce enemy health so that they will be easy kills for the incoming slaughter. I've turned the tides of a battle for the losing team a few times. All they needed was someone "brave" enough to meet the enemy headon. 

 

I see where @GuidoFawkes is coming from. Where the team failed is no one was keeping track of the ones who respawned. Those are the ones that capped the flags. It doesn't take 7 players to attack 2 enemy defenders. He was taking out the defenders, but he had no team backup. Three of those 7 should have been concentrating on the flag, not playing TDM.

On occasion when one tank is ghosting beneath another the one ghosting will spawn causing the materialized tank to get off balanced. Well, this is what happened between a Mammoth and a Wasp. The Wasp was ghosting and materialized under the Mammoth. The Mammoth was trying to get off the Wasp and the Wasp was trying to get out from under the Mammoth. The couldn't seem to get their movements coordinated. They finally separated. I got a goooood belly laugh out of that one.

I just saw someone on full drugs drive out of the tunnel on Solikamsk and straight in to one of the death pits when there were no other tanks near them.

I used a lot of speed boosts. Also the other team were a bunch of noobs.

I did just that on Osa. In fact, if you look on the wiki maps for Osa winter you will see the pit I drove into. I came off the ramp in the pic with my turret turned, looking for a sniper and I drove right into the pit.

I cant say how many times this has happened to me. Its so embarrassing.

This occurred over the course of 3 CTF battles. 

 

First one was a Sollimisk CTF, Blue Team. Just started and spawn on the other end of the map, far away from the flag. Loaded SB to get there faster, and lo and behold someone already took it. I stayed around, waiting for it to be returned (I'm a Titan/rico so I can't really chase the flag). I then notice that most of my team are in light hulls, where the other had mainly medium hulls. I'm defending alone, and a Freeze, an M1 fire/m0 wasp,  and Isida attack me at the same time. I die, and suddenly I discover that we are pretty much going to be spawncamp fodder. I try to punch a hole in their defense for bit, but I gave up and left.

 

Second game was a Desert CTF, Blue team. Nothing notable, exept that there was an m1 hornet/thunder complaining about druggers the enemy team (even though we were winning), an M0 Railgun mult, and the other team barely put up a fight.

 

Third game was a Tribute CTF, Blue team. I get paired up with some of the same guys from the last battle, including that hornet/thunder and the mult. At first it goes well, but the other team was somewhat stronger than us. We put up a fair fight for the first minute or so, right until some better m2s start raiding our base for the flag. They manage to score, and I'm beginning to want to ask the useless hornet thunder to leave. I do, but he refuses calling me a "noob isida" (I changed equipment) We then get into a small "fight", all while the enemy is capping 4 flags. We manage to cap 0.

 

Conclusion: If you have bad equipment in comparison to everyone else, leave. You will do your team a FAVOR if you do so.

I was in Osa CTF and there was an M2 Viking Fire mult in the enemy team. He had In Love paint or something like that. I had my usual combo. M2 Titan with M1 3/10 Smoky (will be 4/10, I bought MU). That mult gave me lots of easy kills. He always went to a location where I can snipe him and when I killed him, he went there again xD

 

In Bridges CTF, I had an M2 Hunter Striker teammate. When I saw his OD star, I went right next to him but I did not realise that he was going to fire salvo upon an enemy near him. The salvo hit me and caused the Striker to self-destruct. FAIL!

way too many players playing TDM when in fact, they are in [EDIT - CTF, JGR, CP, RGB, or ASL].

 

This is a result of the silly Stars event - players don't care about the battle - all they care about is getting stars.

Agreed. I like playing RGB normally, yet do sometimes complain in chat that folks are playing TDM instead of playing tactics geared toward scoring with the ball.

 

Stars week? Forget team battles - play Deathmatches. Much less frustrating!

Russians are quite friendly they don't say anything after you mess with them, in fact 1 killed me 5 times in Silence space mode and I flipped him, voted him, and got him ban for killing, for no reason but he didn't say anything after that

Yes they are friendly between themselves and if they see a j-letter nickname they immediately know i am not a russian and start "trying" to piss me off well yeah i have brain though and see its okay to ignore them like i dont know russian. Anyway these are just american kids that know 15 words....

 

Basically i am called seronja (dont translate please) and nj(Њ) is not russian so yeah if i were called 9I_CeRHba (which doesnt have any meaning) everyone would be friend with me

 

Notice latin R - braindead people mix cyrillic and latin in 99% of nicknames (except if used properly and not like pyccNa_FdzZ) yet still are russians and a non russian "j" triggers them (except if used as Jl -> Л)

what cabbage says is completely true. when i first joined my russian clan most of them disliked me and only a few of them talked to me. but after some time it got better... nowadays because of my clan tag all russians think I'm also russian and lots of people are friendly towards me.

the way i see it, russians feel as if this game is russia, and any non-russian is a foreighner. if they show that they know their place and that you and them have something in common to work towards then they will start to make friends... but this doesn't happen immediately.

now, when ever my russian friends talk to me they do so in english even tho i told them that i'm always willing to communicate in russian. however, they still refer to me as a foreighner. I will never be considered as one of them, however i have been accepted by them.

so the solutions would be to either to pretend to be russian, or slowly make friends with them with an open mind

ASL mode: Entire blue team was on red side playing TDM, ignoring flag bearers, and red capping the flag one right after another. Red team grabs the flags and line up to cap. Need I say, blue was not the winning team? I think Devs should just get rid of all the modes except DM and TDM because that's all the Russians know how to play!!! They have absolutely ruined this game.
