So in all fairness, given what I have learned, I wanted to make sure no one sailed in here, read what I wrote, skip the replies, and think that this was the problem.  Read below:

 

The REAL PROBLEM is the forum does not track posts properly in the profile, and as such, you are not going to find your recent posts there.  It happens regularly from what I learned below from the moderator.

 

So, if you are like me, and losing your mind trying to find a post, it's not gone, just need indexed properly into your profile.

I am so tired of making lengthy posts and then finding they are gone, moved, deleted, and all nearly without ANY notice.

 

I was looking for a topic that had been raised this month about why people leave Tanki.  I read the posts, had an opinion myself, and posted it.  The topic had me curious and I decided to find it again.  Forgot to at it to content I follow.  Sure enough, I can't find it anymore, either by search, by "my posts" list, anything.  Gone.

 

It's tiresome and loathsome to think that as long as nothing that breaks the rules inherently is summarily deleted with NO notice or archival to at least see what was said.  Hello?  Dev?  Product managers?  Just because you delete the posts means the problem is gone.  People read that, people posted to it, it is what it is.  Don't bury your head in the sand.  Reality sucks, deal with it.  It's not like your going out of business either, but that said, you need to listen and let people tell you what's wrong, or they're gonna walk, JUST LIKE the topic said.

 

Now, to be fair, I won't dwell on that one post alone.  I'm talking in general, many times posts have been swept away, topics, at a whim.  If Tanki is going to maintain that prerogative, at the VERY LEAST, as a for profit commercial enterprise, show some professionalism and archive the topics and label them with explanations as to why they're nerfed.  I know your core demographic might be kids, but, the forums are not where most of those are.  The forums are for a more cerebral discourse about the details and nuances of the game, thus your target audience here, at least in the English online community, is not here for LOLs, pic swaps, and memes. There is serious discussion about the game often, and the moment it is not flattering of the platform, the game, and decisions made, you often not only refuse to address the matter in form, you destroy the mention of it.

 

Once and for all, grow up, you might make games, play games, but you are all adults who can withstand a little prodding and pushing, a little criticism, and and heaven forbid, advice to at least be considered.  You need to realize that the more you squelch the dialog, the louder it gets in the heads of those trying to have it, AND THEY WILL find other places to have that conversation.  At least here you can manage it and share information and thoughts and participate in the conversation.

 

In conclusion, at the very least, create notice to players when topics they have posted on are getting archived or destroyed, so we don't waste out time looking for them anymore.

Riddle me this then.  In my posts, in my profile, with Post Only selected, this did not show up.  It's gone.  If I look for topics, I can't nav to it.  And this isn't the first topic this has happened to me on.

 

Also, I should also add, if I search the forums, still found nothing.  And again, not the first time.

That always happens to me, they wont show me posts I made a few days ago but will show me posts I've made in 2015

The search button seems not to work. I looked in your profile under like foldef. If your posts is not liked then it won't show up in that folder. If you posted like 5 times since then it wont show up in your last 5 posts. This forum is not practical at all.

The profile page has been glitched since months ago. It doesn't show all the latest posts you make.

So these things don't disappear, they just get lost in the ether?  So how did you find mine just now?  Or is that an admin function?

This makes sense now too, because lots of things have escaped me, like I said in the original post.  Huh, how bizarre.  They need to fix this

This is a forum glitch that appeared in February this year. That's why if you look at yours or anyone's forum content, you will only see what was posted today or pre-feb2018. It's an extremely annoying issue, especially for us, forum staff. We reported it many times to developers, but unfortunately nothing has been fixed so far.

 

Keep in mind that you also won't be able to search for content posted after February using the forum search feature. Searching for specific tags (like in I&S section) still works though. Also, you can access the topic via direct url (try looking in your browsing history) or just scroll through the pages and try to find it, especially if you remember the date when you posted it.
