New Maps in MM, Turret Balance, New XT

Posted that today in the v-log's topic. I had no idea this was happening. I can't believe this is true. 8 minutes

Not even 20K players online right now. 7 battle modes and a big number of pro battles too.

It's not a surprise if it takes so long to join a battle. Changing the duration to battles to 9 minutes, 8 minutes or 1 minute will not change anything.

its like there closing shop and forcing us to move over to tanki X

It could be that, but I doubt about it. They spent a lot of time developing a mobile version for TO. I think that in their twisted minds, they think they are making good choices for the game.

The shorter the battle time, the better in my opinion; it could do better with 3 minutes.

Lets me spread out revenue through multiple maps with less severe blowouts.

Hopefully matchmaking will load a little faster aswell.

Sometimes takes > 1 minute for battles to start as players lag behind.

So... a 3 min battle is really a 1 & 1/2 minute battle.  go visit garage, and play ZERO minutes.  Sounds awesome!  <_<

Ah, it wouldn't be that bad would it? Internet connection and server stability has improved a lot the last 4 years.

Maybe 4 minutes but I don't think more than that; we're playing in an (increasingly) simple arcade game that's even available on mobile devices.

I would stop playing if they lowered it to 6 minutes.  May even stop with this 8 minutes - will have to see.

Not worth the waiting time/ playing time ratio.  Waiting time will not go down when a bunch of players leave the game.

it's not as simple as you make it sound - Devs keep adding layers on layers (OD, Drones, etc).  Good luck spending half the "playing time" in the garage.

Lowering battle time is fine with me, I prefer battles ending quicker if I need the fund because I can never guarantee how long I can stay on, and the pause time is too short for me to come back in time in case I suddenly get busy or lose connection. If I don't care about fund and just want to try and have fun, then that's when I go to XPBP, look for a decent pro battle, or nag at Light to rank up quicker or come in the lower rank accs so I can play with him.

Lowering battle time is also fine IF the time to get into battles is shortened extremely in the coming months. Which means, I want to get into the battlefield in less than 2 seconds of MM finding a battle for me. When I come on to play for fund or to do mission, I am sitting and staring at the screen, I'm not doing something else while waiting, and you need to understand that.

If the game starts getting more players coming online at once, then they could consider variants of time (5-10-15). But I personally think implementing it now may not be that useful.

I'd say the same for "waiting time" for MM to find a battle, but I don't think you can fix that as easily as you could with loading time. However, recently, with only Quick Play, I've been getting into battles within less than 5 seconds, ~80% of the time. I appreciate that.

Good luck with that.     And better hope you don't need to visit garage.

The battle-funds will decrease - more than proportionally - most maps you don't start in striking distance.

As an aside - you can't commit to playing a battle for 10 minutes?     Really?

I can commit, just that I personally feel that lowering the time also lowers any risks I have from being disconnected from the battle I'm playing. Not lowering the time is just as fine, because it has its pros too; mainly that I can play longer in one battle, especially if it's a map I like.

true see the way I see what will now happen ( besides what I all ready said) is that with now reducing battle time we will only get 6-5 minutes which helps players using the mobile system but it don't help the players who uses PC"s were now cut down not just in battle times but over all in ranking / gaining crystals / experiences and over all a fun game. what should be done is have a system which gives players a choice in MM regular battles for a 15 minute battle and a 8 minute battles .giving way to players who are using the PC"S more time and the ones in mobile just enough time to get some battle fun. this way were all content in battle time. see the more they keep cutting back soon the game will no longer be on PC"S but only available on mobile versions .

Who spends 1 and a half minutes af the garage? I'm just putting on my most generic turret, protections and a multi-purpose-medium hull before I initiate MM..

I agree on the drones part, they make it increasingly difficult but the essence is still the same.. supplies.

Perhaps they might simplify the whole drones system again. Back in 2013 when the first mu's were introduced they thought it was too complicated to microupgrade specific parameters of your hull and turret so they made every step do all parameters at once. I never saw the point of that, especially to think they're called 'microupgrades'

Anyway they thought we were too stupid to understand them. The whole drones concept is way more complicated than the first ever mu's so perhaps they might design one uniform and boring new drone that is so overpowered that it becomes like the default choice of having it enabled, just like supplies.

No one purposely spends that much time in the garage - but - it does happen.  There have been times I never made it back to the battle.

My point is, the shorter the battle, the greater proportion of battle-time we take up when visiting garage. And since we don't know the map before we start, there's not much choice.

I agree 100% on the micro-upgrade thing.  They claim to help us through simplification, then continue to add layers of complication to the onion.

That sounds fair enough. Perhaps 3 minutes is a little too ambitious with current loading times lol.. garage switch window could use some tweaks aswell indeed. 3 minutes would also not be enough for long range players who need to settle at specific points of the map, for whatever strategy there's left for them in this game.

One type of drone will definitely fit the trend of updates. One button does the trick. You'll have the choice not to equip it but it'll be a no-brainer because you try to cancel out the other's drone ofcourse, just like supplies.

Requires players to buy a lot of batteries and keeping them hooked on it.

Who knows but this huge explosion of all types of drones could just be a transition period.

Made Future map ugly, find no reason to do this..

That's putting it mildly . don't like the long road to no where. all just for the rails and shafts to snip players . if a ricochet were to snip our shots just go straight and hit nothing but open air.

I like the change to future because it was needed. Because the red teams building was almost impossible to reach the camping mags, shafts and rails. Now that there's more than one way to the roof of that building, they'll have to be extra alert.

Shafts are becoming an extinct species, give them some air.. the game has favored short range action for years.

Apart from Thunder that is; that thing shouldn't have such a massive damage output at long range.
