Here's why the star week events are a problem for the game.

·They devalue the actual events like Halloween for example.

·Finding decent battles are much harder now because it gets more one sided.

·Players are forced into hours or even days of Hell just to get the prizes and that's the amount of time out of their lives that they're not getting back.

·The rewards aren't even worth it.

If you can think of other reasons, feel free to post them.

Anyways if you agree that star week should be removed, please put your nickname in your post and I'll add your nickname into the "signed by" list down below, which I will keep updated as much as possible.

How does it devalue Halloween? I'm just upset that the only mode is DM.

You said it's hard to find a decent battle and that they are one sided. That's true in both MM and Pro, but stars have nothing to do with it. Take away the stars and it will still be hard to find a decent battle or one the isn't one sided.

Players aren't forced to do anything. If they play for hours on in, lose sleep, miss meals, bypass family and friends, etc., they do it by choice. No Militia, no Police, no armed guards, no one is putting a noose around their necks, no one with a whip. It's......by......choice. If you want to participate, then participate and do what it takes. If you don't want to, then don't and just play as usual.

I don't see the purpose of this "petition." We have a choice, we make a decision base on those choices, then we accept the consequences of our decision.

Players aren't "Forced" to do anything, whenever I play during star events I don't even pay attention to the stupid thing, I just play and try to do my best to win

Well if you really want that item so bad, then you technically are gonna have to play these one sided battles.

We now have too many sales, since these star week events happen every so often.

As I said, they are one sided anyway, with or without the stars. You were playing before the stars came out, weren't you? Were the vast majority of battles you played balanced? In your opinion, how do the stars dictate whether or not a battle is balanced?

You don't like sales? That's odd. So, you prefer to buy everything at full price? Good for you. Many players look forward to the sales.

May I ask why you don't like sales and why do you think there are too many? What difference does it make, to you, how many sales Tanki has?

the one sided battles have been there all along . we just see it more during events . I blame it more on the drug system , especially now that we have drones . more players are using them .

That's irrelevant to what I said.

 I never said that I didn't like sales. I mean who doesn't?

If tanki continues with these star week events with sales every month or less, we can expect a total of more than twice a dozen sales. And it also affects the game economy.

You know what? Forget this. Obviously this topic isn't getting any productive conversations. So can a mod please close this?

I'll post an idea for different objectives of the event, so that at least it's not the same thing over and over again.

Hey,

I have tried to jot down my own opinions on the reasoning you have given for this so-called petition. Although I disagree very much with what you have to say about Star Week, I can (as anyone would) see where you are coming from and why one might think like this. Hopefully, by the end of this, you can see the bigger picture.

Starting off with the main reason for this petition, Star Week(s) devaluing the actual celebrations; Haloween for example. In the past, Halloween has been known for its high number of Gold Box rate, special map and battle funds. I would add sales to this list but I (personally) feel that those aren't that big of a deal, not in Haloween anyway.

Star Week is an opportunity, for players who are willing to spend extra time, to earn bonuses and rewards in return of their efforts. This, in no way shape or form, means that a user is obliged to play let alone complete the Star Week's chain of rewards if you will — no one, not the developers nor the players, 'force' you to play or take part in the Star Week, it is and will always will be one hundred percent your own choice.

Although I agree that the rewards are not worth the extra effort, you must understand that the prizes earned in such events are merely bounces, an additional way to earn a little more during such celebrations. Once again, Star Week is an opportunity, for players who are willing to spend extra time; you do not have to take part in these if you do not feel the need to.

I say NO to star weekends. Players drug like mad during star weekends to get some stupid paints so playing for missions during star weekends ruins my k/d. The star weekend should be removed or the number of needed stars should be decreased to 50 so the buyers would finish it fast and let the other players have fun.

@sensei_tanker

although we are never bound to spend hours playing during star weeks, we can't even play casually during a star week because buyers try hard and drug unnecessarily hard (like using a repair kit whenever available, instead of saving up health kits). And, holidays lose their magic due to common events. I used to be so hyped for a sale, now it's just part of a routine.

Yup - there are more groups/clans playing together to get lions share of the 2x battle fund.

Many of the battles are just garbage - finished a CTF battle where 5 players on my team received 0 stars.  ZERO.

I don't see any incentive to finish a battle when it is 3-0 or 4-0.  Just hit exit...

These star week events are nothing but a disgrace to the legacy of this game.

I agree it should be scrapped. We never had rubbish like star week back when tanki was actually good (~2013) and everyone is drugging like crazy all the time now. No wonder players left and never came back...

If anything, these star week events will be the one that deals the final blow to the game and puts it in the coffin for good.

Although im with you, ( I dont want star week's inside another event like halloween or tanker's days etc) i dont see why not to put sometimes  star weeks suddenly. First of all even if you find the rewards bad, you can just earn 25 stars maximum to get 1 cont, +4 from the mission bonus (If you're in the 10th week) so atleast you will be able to open 5 conts if you mind. On the other side if you dont want star week's for any possible reason, and you are playing non-pro's just for missions.. just keep doing the same thing, this time it might take 2 battles instead of 1 but atleast there is x2 fund, you wont lose anything if u got 20 minutes to play.

It should be that buyers are against star week and non buyers are for it. Star week allows non buyers to suddenly have access to lots of containers and therefore drugs. Like inflation it lessens the advantage which buyers have...which I think is good for the game

It depends on the buyer. If the buyer is a casual player that plays only for missions, then they are gonna be against star week. If the buyer has lots of time on their hands, then they'll have another reason to use it on the game.

Same with non buyers.

The real split is between casual players and those with a lot of time on their hands.

I'm a non-buyer and I absolutely hate star weeks.

I think they want to get people hooked on the game and spending as much $$$ as possible before player numbers drop too far. I don't want tanki online to die but it is obvious what is going on.

Non-buyers already have access to lots of supplies.  Daily + weekly mission rewards add up quickly.

On the other hand, buyers are more likely to buy the "Star Pass" - enabling them to get more containers and have a better chance at the big prizes.
