I don't enjoy pro battles because most of them are 999 minutes long or flags with now timer. And polygon Cp battles are just as Hell.

Don't join those then, there are plenty of normal pro battles which last 20 minutes or so

Just left a battle with ranks 7 higher than me I was the lowest rank out there. What kind of crap is that?

nothing compared to the 13 rank gap i face each freaking day

It's within the rank limits if you were using your WO5 account, which is a bit daft.

 

I've been in that situation often (both with this account and my WO5), but also the reverse with people 5 ranks lower.

 

It's going to get worse. I'm not far away from 2nd LT on this account and the rank spread will increase to 8 (I think).

You're definition of plenty is 1 or 2, that is if I'm lucky enough.

I guess that's one of the disadvantages for low ranks then, not enough normal pro battles ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not just low ranks, high ranks are also full of the same old maps, same old battles.

I was playing on my alt account @HBTY2 and I was playing, with my M0s since its First Sergeant, an M2 Hornet/Isida, at the rank of WO2. Like, c'mon, a WO2 buyer against First Sergeant F2P players?

Looking at the product kits on the wiki and seeing what buyers can now attack me with is so depressing, especially the Captain kits they can buy at 2nd LT.

 

F2P Brigadiers must be :(

ikr I can be forced to fight an M3 freeze at my rank... even as low as Master Corporal i've played ranks where buyers can have M3 freeze... it's so unfair. Look at my poll "Poll: New Server" on Ideas and Suggestions.

Sorry but i find plenty of battles with or without supplies that are 30 min long in maps like Serpuhov, Highways, Monte Carlo, Esplanade, and others that you will not even find in the MM ssytem (MM=MisMatched). And if i do not like a map I can create one and invite people.  Certainly beats the MM crap.

My Brigadier is fighting Legends.  MatchMaker is just soooo pathetic.

 

What is really sad is that I can 2nd on my team.  That's how poorly the teams were set up...

Forget Brigadier, I played against legends, and i have screenshots if you want. They were looking at me like I was something special.

I hate the way MM tries to balance teams in some battles. In terms of ranks, one team would have a team consisting of 3,1,3,1,3,1,3,1 and the other team would consist of 2,3,2,3,3,1,3,2. It's not to say that the teams are 1,3 which would equal 4 and the other team being 2,2 which would equal 4. No. It always has some sort of imbalance on the side with more 2s. Just look at this:

Why am I even in that battle? I'm 2 ranks above the highest rank there. MM decided that to make it balanced, place one "strong" player with the "weaker" ones. The player 'lari' had already completed the challenge. I had seen him in multiple battles before this. In all of them, he was on the enemy team. They couldn't even bring him on my team to balance it, no. This was the end result:

Who got left at the bottom? That's right, the lower ranks. The enemy team's ranks are, for the most part, close together. My team's ranks are spread out. How was my team supposed to compete properly?

Like to say this in the nicest way possible. "Matchmaking" completely sucks! And if you think I am wrong and the developers are right just ask the players and see what the majority thinks and if it sucks or not. Just because the developers think it's great does not mean it is. The only reason it was designed was to make money period. If they really and I mean really cared what the players thought it would be gone. Don't believe me? just ask them. Ask them if they want it or not and you will have your real answer, You can't argue with the truth.

 

Makes you wonder what else is going on when I just left a battle hit this guy 4 times over 1200 damage each time and yet he never blow up and never hit shift and no drones. . Really?

Then of course the norm in "Matchmaking" he shot me once and I blow up. 

 

Then there is the comical  weekly missions, where you waste twice as much in supplies as what the rewards is. Then hope to get it back in containers and you get like 250 mines. Just what everyone wants, more mines.  Lots of times you can see that the containers base themselves on what you use. But hey when your down to just mines you do the math.  But like I said before, for the low,low price of $19.99 you can buy 1,500 in supplies.  Nothing only about the money going on here.

The matchmaking concept is failing in all kinds of games, not just tanki. However, I still prefer MM over the old system because at least with MM, all you have to do is press the play button for the game mode you want to play in and just wait. The old system, you had to look for the right battle which could take 15 to 20 minutes, which would often be full.

 

The only thing I don't like about MM is the wide rank brackets.

Often takes me that long now since 1) the 'estimated wait time' is mostly false and 2) takes two or three aborted attempts before a battle is actually loaded.

 

You like getting into a battle with 2 minutes remaining?

You like have no early battle termination?  Playing out the farce battles where you are spawn-killed?

So why is there "Matchmaking"?  Who is it there for?  It's a complete joke. Just ask the players.  The majority of players think it sucks.  Why do I want to enter a battle where all I do is shoot and shoot and shoot and nothing happens the I blow up? 

 

There is no matched battles they are mostly one sided. If matchmaking is for the players then why don't you ask them if it is a good thing overall?

 

Getting real tired of going into battles that are impossible to win.  

 

The bottom line is the developers don't care about the players or they would listen to them.  

 

The proof is in the facts. You can see how the players are complaining about it. Your non-matchmaking battles are falling off to where it is hard to find any good battles. 

 

Why don't you just admit that it is there to make money period.

i actually have no problem with matchmaking

 

the only thing that makes me hate it so much is the PING lag

i keep telling everyone that if i did not have ridiculously high PING i would play about 70% better than what i am now

That's literally because you were a legend rank, and legend ranked battles were everywhere at the time, so it was easy for you to find battles. If you were in my rank range, you would understand that playing with m3 ranks is something to avoid, battles where your rank is the highest were often full and you'd literally have to wait at least 15 minutes because that was how long battles were back then.

Not sure what my current rank has to do with how things were before matchmaker was introduced.

I played at novice all the way up to Gismo without matchmaker. 

Took a couple minutes to find a battle in chosen battle-mode - just like it does now.

 

So you don't play team battles? :huh:  Well that rules out most of the battle-modes doesn't it?

Your perspective is not at all the same as what... 80%-85% of the players will experience.

 

Play a bunch of team battles (not sure how you complete missions - many are tied to the 5 team modes) for a while and come back to this subject.
