Not anymore. Score earned from support drones used to contribute to manual Overdrive charge, seen most clearly during the period when Dictator's Overdrive gave the user 25 score per player it gave it to.

Not always true. They can easily get 1st place given favourable conditions. One of those conditions being the player getting put on the blue team in ASL. And not just any blue team, a blue team where it is cramped and many of their allies will be staying in the base to defend. So maps like Industrial Zone, Bobruisk, Aleksandrovsk, Year 2042, Wolfenstein, Polygon, Barda and Future are good for that. 

 

How can they do this? The same way you are able to place multiple mines in a short space of time with your Miner drone. Mechanic speeds up cooldown of the repair kit. It also allows you to manually activate a repair kit when at full HP (you can't do this with the drone unequipped). This way, they can cycle through their repair kits. They start off my using a repair kit, then other supplies, then using a repair kit again when the drone is off of its cooldown. Cycle this while adding in Dictator's OD and you can generate a comfortable amount of score, or even a very generous amount of 800. Dying can restart the cycle during select periods.

So they need to cherry-pick their teams (blue/red) and maps... not "cheating" but... worse than when we had a battle list.

also wastes time - waiting for battle... get non-suitable map... exit.  Wait for battle ... "attack team" in assault ... exit...

Yeah I'm in the same boat as you about that, but apparently it's all worth the trouble for them to be doing this?

I don't know, but I assume it does. You still get EXP there but it would be a much smaller number than if you played MM a lot.

Who knows what goes on in Pro-battles.

It's pretty dumb the length players will go to in order to pad some useless stats.  Lots of vain people out there.

Can we make MM only matches Legends to other Legends? So that Legends will always play against Legends while the rest of the ranks remains the same. To be honest, a Legend lv 1 might be an OK match to Marshal, but Legend lv 20 with their fully upgraded gear is a total different story.

Or we could have actual matchmaking based on ranks and equipment. So I don't join a blue ASL team full of Wasps that are all MK0-2 against a bunch of Dictator/Viking-Thunders at the average equipment level. I mean, we already classify most turrets as either melee, short, medium, or long. It can't be too hard to use that criteria to make a decent team based on the current objective or gamemode.

The MM is matching players according to ranks actually (not exactly the same rank, but within the range). As for equipment level, I believe they on purpose ignore it so that players who spend more on upgrades will have an advantage. This encourage players to spend more on upgrades and indirectly boost their revenue, which I think is fair enough since TO is a business.

Which defeats the entire purpose of calling it matchmaking. The tanki devs have a very simplistic but admirable cycle of coming up with bad ideas, implementing a small unnoticeable version of said bad idea, and then fully implementing it while also cutting off whatever it's replacing. But then they make up for it with a new toy to keep people distracted for a while as they chop more and more off of what was an already well-polished game. Some ideas are good, granted. I personally like the new MK system and weekly missions because they reward dedicated play and overall improve pacing for us mere mortals with a budget of forty bucks in our checking accounts that might not all go to something like a dying MMO.

 

The Tanki I remember may be dead, but that's also because I was younger then and didn't have a console with other games that can hold my interest better than trying to fight against the matchmaking toaster long enough to finish my missions, then quitting for the day out of frustration. It's almost ironic, now I could spend money on this game exclusively but I discovered games of actual quality, games that actually care about their community and don't give the short end of the stick to the cash cows and whales, and I play those instead. I shouldn't have to pay hundreds of dollars to expect some decent balancing from a game, especially when Fortnite is completely free and does everything Tanki tries to do/rip off from it way better in ways that don't make me frustrated when I'm done playing.

Fix the silly issue where one team loads before the other. Too many battles where one side can grab the flag before defenders have loaded.  That happens and I continue to exit these battles immediately.

TX had many issues but they got one thing right - lobby before battle that collects teams and shows them the map. Then loads everyone and there's no capping for 15 seconds or so - when teams re-set to their bases.

Instead adding more bells and whistles like Olympus missions and new hulls fix the core issues of your game.

Joined at 5:50. I'm not sure why MM decided to place me here, nor why it decided to place 3 Fieldmarshals on the same team when the highest on the enemy is General. I expected to get matched with Legends with that GS.

Just left a battle where it was 8 active tanks vs 2 active tanks.  Should come as no surprise the 8 tanks capped in first 30 seconds.

It should also come as no surprise I exited battle shortly after that.

MatchMaker is complete trash.

 

AND... too many mults. Legends with GS = 4000.  Not even worth playing anymore.

And it continues...

8 vs 6 (2 min into battle) and enemy team has at least 1 or 2 hornet-Gauss with EMP augment.

Not a CHANCE I stay in that battle.

This game is so messed up I really don't see how it can recover.

An MM system which does not give your deserved reward with due justice. Look at this particular match of TJR Magistral map. I had Death Herald rail + Viking.

I should have gotten more crystals and stars than the player below me (provided you disregard his premium bonus).

 

As you can see. I, the 2nd top player in the winning team got 2 stars where as the third player got 3 stars (disregarding his 2x star bonus from premium).

Similarly, he got 515 crystals where as I got 506. As you can see o have higher battle points than him. This should not happen in a fair match. I am very unhappy because of this.

What the police is doing? 
It is a visual bug report it in the bug section.

If you or a very low number of people with faulty /dodgy internet experience it, then it is a visual bug.

If it is very common then it is more likely to be a coding issue.

Certainly it is not done on purpose, therefore in both case share it on the bug & glitch section. Like this mods can report more occurance.

To better understand the issue you need to get data (crystals, xp and stars) before the end of the battle and then after the battle, then compare the difference.
