So I guess another exploit is to group yourself with players that are on lower ranks than you and you'd likely be in easy battles all the time?

The opposite, you queue with people at higher ranks than you, and end up in matches with people like 7 ranks above the other guy you queued with.

My Warrant Officer 2 account was put in a battle that had a Major in it, this is like an 8 rank difference isn't it.

 

 

 

Hey, does enabling mip-mapping improve the game performance for you? For me it usually makes the game lag even more, even though it's supposed to do the opposite, right?

When I turn it on, my FPS goes from around 30 FPS to a maximum of 40 FPS. When I turn it back off, it stays on 40 for a bit, gets a frame drop to about 11 frames and then goes back to 30 for the maximum. I thought all of those options reduced my game's performance so I disabled all except Show FPS and Ping. 

 

It makes my FPS increase.

Thank you for the info, I'm gonna try to disable mip-mapping and adaptive fps to see if the performance increases for me.

New record. I had doubted that @DieselPlatinum saw a 13-rank bracket but I've finally seen it now.

The person was using M0 Viking + Gauss. I had witnessed, my teammate StarWhite shooting him with Viking XT + Ricochet XT and the Miracle Fish paint. That stood out to me greatly. A battling a . The Sergeant wasn't even moving his turret.

Maybe low ranker was part of a group?  Since they don't tag groups it's hard to tell...

Most likely, but It was just to show where a tanker can potentially end up. If you're in a group with someone a good number ranks higher than you, you can end up with players that can tap you and still kill you.

Here's a lovely example of Group (in this case a CLAN) versus non-group.  Awesome balance by Match-Maker right?

Even with a mult on their team it wasn't even close.

But...but...the MMS only matches groups with groups. And since we don't have group markers, we must adhere to that. i.e there is no way to disprove it so it must be true. *shrugs*

 

One thing that MM should take into consideration when making Legend battles is the ranks and numbers of the non-Legend players that are to be put there and sort them as such. I'm tired of my team having 4 Legends while the other team is full of Legends of a number you can't determine in those crucial fast-paced minutes of battle. And more Legends = a higher chance of having a player with upgraded equipment as well as particular drones that can be battle-deciding. The team that has more Legends are usually the one to win.

All my MM battles tonight we're just super horrible except the last one which was decent.

 

 

Also silence should just be removed from MM.

I was just like this 4 days ago. I went through many battles on 4 accounts and I don't go onto another account before completing all 3 minutes. It was so bad that I left 2 missions on 2 accounts and 1 mission on the other two and logged off. I honestly couldn't take it but what can I expect? The playerbase is small and it was a little bit after the server restart so there aren't many players that are similar in strength online. 

 

Why should Silence be removed? I don't like it for ASL and RGB but its CTF battles are nice as well as its CP battles (that are somehow prone to blowouts).

Blue has a huge advantage over red. Plus DM battles there are extra horrible. In other words the point I'm making is that it's too small for 10 v 10.

MM is 8 v 8 so that's 4 less players on the map. 

 

It's usually horrible in DM if you don't have a melee or short-range turret there. For team battles, I do notice that the blue team usual comes out on top. It could be the Top, Middle, Bottom design of it that causes this, like Noise.

replace Sandbox & Sandal with DeathTrack & Skylark.  Those smaller maps have no business hosting 16 tanks in MM.

i hope this topic has some one that care to my opinion, 

 

 

 

WHY ON EARTH EVERY SINGLE BATTLE i play the time is 5 min 6 min 4 min and even 3 min sometimes why on earth would someone to play minutes battle? i entered a match that has already red ream captured 3 flags while my teams has a punch of noobs ( we got an isida that heal me even when im 100 hp wttf?) how can i change match to our side? well its impossible coz this is hazel rah plan to make the battles shorter and shorter what happend to 15 mins battles they was so so so fun and when it decreased to 10 mins we accept ur fault but now 5 mins battles?

 

i just started playing the game again and here is a punch of reasons that force me to leave it :( people change but hazel rah and Cedric never changes to the better.

I wonder if MM places higher strength players with the lower ones to balance it out. THis might explain why some players feel they must carry their team a lot

I look at the ranks of every battle I play. Some battles have teams consists of (in terms of equipment and the effectiveness of it) 3,1,2,3,1,2,2,1 vs 2,2,2,3,1,2,2,2,. One team has more players in the middle. The other team has players with access to better equipment but some of the others don't have access to great equipment. 

 

I've seen battles where each player that filled each team are similar in rank, and then when players start leaving, MM puts players that are higher than the rank of the highest-rank player that was there originally:

The highest rank was General, then players on the blue team started leaving immediately and MM replaced them immediately, one of them being BBBTTTT_3000. 

 

That is one example of the the way I see MM trying to balance teams with the ranks. I'd be in Ranks around Marshal and Lieutenant General, and when players start leaving, they eventually bring in Legends...Legends of an arbitrary number that have better equipment than every other player there. Granted, sometimes the Legends that are placed there don't move their turret or don't have good protections or skill and they get pummeled by a guy using Op alterations.

I absolutely hate this about MM.

 

First off... the winning team might have worked hard to get ahead.  Then players on losing team leave only to be replaced by much better players.  So hard work is rewarded by... giving the other team a huge leg up.  A giant mistake IMO.  The game should not strive to "even things up" mid-battle like referees do in a hockey game with the "make-up-calls".

 

Secondly... when I start a battle, I check the rank-spread.  if reasonable - I stay.  But after investing time in battle, half-way through I'm suddenly battling players 8-9 ranks above me - feels like I've been cheated.

I am impressed by the number of useless players that can get put on the same team.With maybe two exceptions yesterday, in which we wrecked, my team had 2-4 players who were lie 2-12 on the kills-deaths. I kinda wish playing like that would make you get matched with weaker players so one team doesnt get stuck with all of them

Because of how fast MM battles are, it is easy to seal your fate at the start of the battle. The enemy team captured early and we fought all game to try to capture back. Midway through that, he says this, "Every single one of you are useless tbh".

See I think that MM battles bring out the worst in some people because of how easy it is to tip the battle in your favour. Coming down to the end, I went for the Overdrive box, Arjuna used his Viking's Overdrive (with Magnum) and cleared 4 people that were defending the point. I came in and killed one, Myth killed two, took the ball, captured and I killed another one. So without Arjuna's help (my contribution to the capture wasn't as much as his) he wouldn't have captured that. But it's the final few seconds of the battle. Why would he waste time congratulating his team after thinking ill if them. And then he would go onto other battles and do the same. 

 

I wish players were more understanding and see how exactly the enemy is crushing us and not say "noob team" every 30 gosh darn seconds. 

 

Trivia:

 

Arjuna, Myth and I were all Magnums and we took the top 3 spots.

i would like to request the data that the developers use to determine that fairness of matchmaking, or at the very least give us the criteria used for MM balancement of teams.

The guy was an M3 Mammoth + RGC Vulcan that took a golds and wreaked havoc on my team. He and another Mammoth were blocking the main exit. If only he was replaced by a or a , then it would be perfectly balanced.

Matchmaking sucks and is total garbage. The stupid Russian that came up with it should be shot.

The concept of MM had good intentions. How it was actually implemented however, is the issue.

Let's discuss my experience during this star event. 

 

First: A significant percentage of battles are not even close. I've gotten full stars several times simply because my teammates were doing nothing and I got wrecked but wrecked least of all.

 

Second: In a large number of battles, the game goes on 6v8 or worse for a while. Yesterday I fought 4v8 defending in assault until we died. Then  came this game below. It was 4v8 for a good long while. People left and MM did NOT replace them so they just died. At the end it was 8v3...I kinda think that the system should at least somewhat try to keep battles like this from taking place.

Battles like this make me want to exit out and stop playing, and I've seen several. We had these before MM, but that was what MM was supposed to fix. Obviously you can fix "Runners" but replacing them as soon as they leave would be a good start
