I couldn't say. But I did miss-write....it was 7v5 and then a player ran from our team. So it could have be the 8th player joined before it was 8v4, I don't remember. What I do remember is it was 8v4 part way into the battle. This seems quite simple, if one team is smaller, you put players on that team..if its bigger, you dont.

I too experience similar situations to this more often than I can take a screenshot to post it here. As I'm never a fan of leaving a game midway unless it's DM, I'm prepared to be slaughtered with the two or three guys who are left with me on my team.

 

I would appreciate the devs take a look into this and take steps to resolve it. From what I see it's only a matter of enabling auto balance in the MM system (I maybe wrong, there could be more). It is quite frustrating when you're severely outnumbered and more disheartening when you see it gets worse with people joining the bigger team.

How about a button to request more players when our team is small?
MM does it automatically, however only it a team needs it. If you are short on player and still win (or on equal foot) I have experienced many time that MM do not refills your team. 
If the losing team is short on number, I have seen player being added, and they feels like higher/stronger player.
 
It doesn't not work all the time, as it could take some time for MM to find spare tankers with the adequate ranks. By the time your team may have already lost.
 
I have seen turn over too, the winning team lose some player which are not replaced, and boom they lost in the end.

Are we playing against the whole administration this weekend due to the fact hardly anyone is online? This game has gotten ridiculous. Was the game rigged somehow? It as heck seems like sometimes..... Here another question or idea for you. Why not match the ones that pay to win (big spenders) with same in battles? The tankers that have collected whats in their garage that was >>earned<< from playing (experience & crystals) match these tankers in battles. Or would that be like too honest....This would be an easy process. And how about keeping the helpers, developers admin out of the game or just match yourselves up. Seeing as how they have every piece of equipment (drones, alts, spectrum modules, ect) this makes it very unfair for regular players, modest ones anyway. 

 Regarding number of player, they are the usual.

Regarding buyers, they make the game still running. Without them no game. 

 

The current battle rank limit and mixing is by design: Remember that you also have buyers in your own team. And the opposite team will have some low ranks too. Anyway there is not enough players with the same strength playing a the same time. To do so you will have to queue and wait longer, less battle mode would be available,...

 

Regarding OP helpers, some I know have legend ranks. I am not sure which one you singling out, but the following have high legend ranks

- Hate Legend 17 

- Ninja Legend 4

- Maf Legend 20

...

The only unique advantage is the Module spectrum, which is available to a limited amount of them and for a month (from the HOTM). Other players have them too: the e-sport champions.

In theory MM could work.  The Devs have just decided to adopt the worst aspects of it.

 

And the crap about waiting times blah, blah, blah.   Start the battles at 4 vs 4 and add new tanks in pairs.  D'uh!

 

It all boils down to fact that     THEY DONT WANT BALANCED BATTLES.

Sooo, MM is supposed to balance your wins and losses. I had an unfortunate losing streak (one after the other) trying to complete a mission, twice, which motivated me to make this post. Over 50 or 100 battles, you may indeed get close to 50% (yours was 44% - you suk  :P )

 

But what of the quality of those battles?  I don't care if I come out 50-50 if most of the battles were blow-outs one way or the other.

 

Additionally, if you are often lowest rank in battle (rank-spreads too wide) once again, the quality of that battle for you is poor.

It varied from fun to "why am I still here?". Some were fun and balanced (including some of the draws). Some were blowouts on the winning and losing team.

That's my point. 

Sure it might be "balanced" - but those blowouts - on either side - are bad.

 

Balancing a blow-out one way with a blow-out the other way... just does not cut it.  both are boring.

Joined the battle while timer was at 6:58. From that time till timer went down to 3:40 ish it was a six vs eight battle, in favour of opposing team. After timer hit 3:40 ish it became 5vs8 again in favour of opponents right until timer hit 0:00. We tried to hold the lines as much as we could, but the sheer outnumbering of our team led to the opponent becoming victorious.

Its November 2019, and I still can't believe that we're seeing huge team imbalances in MM battles. Not like I was playing at a time where we had low traffic in TO by today's standards.

This issue needs your immediate attention TO developers !!

I've complained about this for months.  If you aren't missing tanks completely, you often have 1 or 2 just sitting around ... collecting supplies or chatting or doing nothing.

 

But - I think it works exactly the way they want it to work.  That unbalanced battle is supposed to "encourage" you to play more.

 

And... supposedly - too many balanced battles is bad.   :lol:   Yes, you heard that right.  If all the battles are close, "it's bad for the game because players will get bored".  LMAO at these amateur psychologists.  Imagine that... getting bored because the battle was close.  I mean... why would you ever want to play another battle like that?   ;)

If you look at a number of battles in history, the two sides will fight it out for a bit, then one side gains an advantage over the other and the other side runs and essentially gets spawn killed the rest of the battle.

 

That is what we see here. Some battles are even, while most have one team spending the game in the other team's base

Yeah ... BUT ... this is a game - where people come to have fun.   Real-life war is not about having fun.

 

And IMO, unbalanced battles are not so fun.  One reason why people leave this game - because they are not having fun.

I don't think all close battles are balanced. Sometimes it's just that the weaker team had some fortunate situations to level the playing field at opportune times. Like these 2 close battles here:

They were close in score, but in the latter, I had to pull off some obscene plays to keep certain allies and myself alive and counter specific Overdrives. They had 2 Titans if I remember correctly, and I think I was the only Hornet on the team with a turret that has far reach. I had to save my Overdrive for when the Titans used theirs to take them out as fast as possible, while having little HP myself. I then dedicated another to infiltrating their base and taking out 2 of their key players. They clearly had the upper hand with equipment, but I and my teammates almost made it work, together, but we fell short. 

 

Both teams had coordination of their Overdrives. But one of them prevailed. 

 


 

But that second screenshot brings up another issue, an issue I've been having recently, in Sandal. 

 

21051980-turbo was a Viking + Mortar Magnum. He went 14-0 before I dedicated my Overdrive to killing him. He was awfully accurate at the beginning, even when I was moving almost erratically (curse Hornet's drifting). And then even the happening of the shot hitting you directly but the mine still spawns under you and kills you. 

 

I've had 2 other battles where a Mortar Magnum seemed to have been doing exceptionally well. I don't know how. Is Sandal a great map for Mortar or something? The map is already small and mines scattered around is unnerving.

Perhaps a thought could be, if a team gets down big, MM can add players to the losing side, maybe up to 2 extra, so the loses have 10 people or 9, giving them an extra shot at catching up

Matchmaking system was added into the game on May 29th, 2018. Let's discuss!

Any major changing have been done to it? I don;t know what the purpose of this useless topic. Tanki management don't listen about flaws of Mad making system or money making system. All they need is new ways to get more n more money from you.

I have at least 2 others of players in these positions but I can't find it. Why are people doing this? 

 

They aren't multing, for sure, but their firepower in that position is less than what it would be if they were on the ground, driving around.

Matchmaking is Broken.

Bruh.

I'm a WO2 non-buyer, and I meet up with M2-3 Gear Scores like 5100 or 6200.

My highest gear score is around 2400 because I can only afford M1's.

I get instakilled half the time.

It's not fair, and i wish they would fix it.

 

Matchmaking should be by rank AND gearscore.

P.S. Sorry if i ranted, I'm Just mad at this.

You have too many M1 equipments: rico, gauss, twins, smoky, vik, wasp, hornet and titan.

You have to be more selective focus on one combo (max two) for upgrade now. If you did that you would have one combo fully upgraded.

Save up for M2 product kit which do not include your strongest combo.

What is broken is the cost of everything.
