True - there is a good segment of the players that will flock to that.

 

However if MM removed, we can create longer (~ 15 minute battles) on maps we actually like - that are suited to our equipment.

I still feel that players will come if you create the battles.  Might have to wait longer, and may not always be 8 vs 8.

But I don't mind playing 5 vs 5 and waiting longer for a battle I actually want to play.

 

 

Yes, I 100% agree with longer battles and being able to join battles that suit your equipment. 

Before MM battles filled up as well, 15 minutes or more. If not the first time, then the second. And having a 5 vs. 5 or 6 vs. 6 could also be good. Very often when a battle was balanced and fun most of the players in both teams stayed for a next round. With MM your team is scattered once the battle is finished.

You mean when you hit 'continue' button after a battle ends to avoid going back to main lobby?

 

Yup - been happening more frequently lately.  Kind of goofy considering there are supposed to be > 30 maps available.

You got that right, everyone bailed out in the middle of the match; no one joined the last 2 minutes. I started using Isida to farm some XP.

Yes, you did, in the v-logs too. Here they clearly finished group Vs. 2, however they started Group vs Group. Nothing prevent a group to leave the battle in the middle, same for individual.

Why not stop battle early then, if no new-ones are coming in ? In the old days (before MM) it was like that and that avoided a lot of frustration by those who were being spawn-killed for minutes.

I see what you mean but the games are so short nowadays that you can just wait it all out and end up with a reasonable share of the fund from the progress you made before the blowout. I would be long gone from this match if the stars weren't around though. 

 

Equip Isida and heal everyone taking damage so you can become first or atleast reach the top 3. I have to say that this worked better a year ago; getting kills with an Isida will get you more score currently.

How many time did this occurred and compare to how many time the system refilled the depleted team?

From what I have seen, the later is in clear majority. For me the main issue is that in small map you cannot fight back and the re-spawn area is too narrow. Red alert is way too small. 

Shorter battle will affect the star system reward for both the wining and losing team.

By the time you get in your garage, change turret, join the battle, get selfdestructed and can finally start to play another minute is gne.

 

Who's decision was it to shorten battle time from minimum 15 minutes to 7 1/2 ? Another doubtable decision taken by developers. Where are the days when could choose battles of 1 hour ? In 1 hour with some players leaving and others joining a battle could go each way. Being in the winning team after 1/2 hour was no certainty your team was going to grasp victory in the end. Or the other way round.

I agree that this is an extreme example of an unequal battle, but ending 4 or 5 vs 8 is not an exception. In such a case a battle should be ended earlier as well. Such unequal battles are no fun, not for the loosing and not for the winning side.

Surely MM refilles the empty spots, but how long does it take to refill them ? And how many of them stay when they see they have landed in a 4 or 5 vs. 8 situation ? Many of them leave as soon as they can, and I don't blame them.

It was 5 v 8 for more than half the battle. We tried our best to defend which we successfully did for about 3 minutes until they started to swarm us. only after 4 minutes was when the legends at the bottom came in. Lizzy and I had to underdog it and come out on top. Sasha was a great help and Lvovyanin was a good help as well. The other 3 Legends...not so much.

 

This battle felt more like Assault to me. I felt like we shouldn't have been put in that battle t be honest.

How do you know yourself it was not group Vs. group at the start?

Well I do believe it was GVz G, unless you were no paying attention to the v-log and the CMs news: MMS creates group battle versus group. If you believe that then it should be obvious to you that it actually happened in that battle at the start. I have the feeling that you do not believe TO, the developers or the CMs ...

(btw goldboxes are not made of gold)

Read post #84.  That player posted screen-shot of the battle. The player was in the battle.

 

For once you are correct - I do not believe TO. 

 

And the CM goes by what developers tell them... as has been pointed out many times is not involved in rule creation.

I'm happy because I was not the last rank in this battle and because I left at this moment.

My alt account - rank of Colonel - just left a battle where every other player was Lt. General up to F.Marshall.

 

And they wonder why we struggle to get stars...

This is true. If they don't fill up fast, I leave. When it's 5-0 and teams are even I stay and wait it out. I used to leave all the blowouts because I knew the fund was not worth the miserable experience but they fixed that.

 

I prefer short battles so there's less at stake.. I hit continue and I spawn in another map within seconds when the server if full enough.

There is no strategy anyway, everything is brawling for crystals and stars. I sometimes change my turret right at the start because I don't know what map I spawn in but that's about it. 

 

the 15 minute battles packed the most strategy back when we still had seperated EN, DE and RU servers. The merge made this obsolete.

Now it's repetitive.. the map collection is extremely boring and the chat feature is useless because everyone types agsdfhsdgfahsdfhasfds..

EDIT: I don't think matchmaking is suitable for battles longer than 8 minutes anymore.

Some people complaining about MM and that time is not enough but I disagree 

 

Because its only 8 minutes I don't care if I win or lose I play anyway and 8 minutes is good for stars too, making it longer will make it harder to get stars and make you spend more time in battles, pro-battles are for long battles if you want to do them 

 

 

MM is for casual players

wow, no wonder why you get everything wrong.

The player was in a battle created by MM with groups as it is part of the system mechanics. As players in group are not highlighted in the battle table scoreboard, you have to make a guess to find who is in a group. Yesterday I played in 2 battles with no obvious clue if a group was there until I recognised 3 helpers playing in the same team. Therefore even in a battle you won't know unless it is obvious. That said, it is still possible that times to times the system fails, but this is not intended.

 

You could suggest developers to add a marker to show groups if that makes you happy.

MM will not disappear as it is the heart of Neo Tanki, removing it is not an option, improving it, is.

You just can't help yourself from posting condescending posts.  It's amazing how much you think of yourself.

 

You were not in the battle so you have no clue.  You pretend TO does not make mistakes, or not ever lie.

Pretty sure the paints they claimed to be exclusive can now be found in containers.

You either are completely naive or have no integrity.

 

Here's an example for you... a group logs in to play a game and gets assigned to a battle.  And no other group signs in for next 5 minutes.

Would you have us believe that group (and all other players already assigned) will sit in queue for 5 minutes?  :rolleyes:
