Lock M0s based on rank

When the M2 of a turret/hull becomes available, the M0 of that turret/hull should be locked. Later, if a player wants to use that M0 they would have to buy the M? that's available for their rank. 

 

For example: The Hammer M0 becomes available at Corporal. M1 becomes available at WO2. During this phase of upgrading, MUing, the M0 is still usable. The M2 becomes available at Captain. At this point, the M0 is locked and unusable unless the player buys the m1 or M2. 

 

I've read a few complaints of players of higher rank using M0s when they should be using M1 or M2. This could be considered sabotage, because at this level of combat, an M0 is very ineffective. By locking out M0s when the M2 becomes available would prevent this from happening. I realize this isn't a big problem and may not happen very often, however, it does happen. This game is full of mults and saboteurs, why leave temptation open for another avenue?

And if i have 0 crystals? I have to pay with real money? ok

So you telling me that you wont get any crystals at all? you wont rank up without playing in battles that award you with crystals at the end.. lame excuse.

Theoretically though, its possible. If a nub spends all his crystals on paints (Maybe he doesnt know about m1s and m2s) and some point it will be literally impossible to play on that account, and Tanki has probably lost a player.

I've done that before, I had spent all my crystals on micro upgrades thinking it would be useful, then had to start over from a new account because it was unplayable in the old account

At your rank, why are you using M0s? I'm very glad to hear you are MUing your Smoky to M2. Is your Smoky an M0 at the moment?

Some players use m0 hulls with m3/m4 turrets for parkour purposes, and this update will remove that ability from them.

M0 hulls have much less weight, and it helps parkour clubs use other knockback type turrets more effectively to shoot tanks over a larger distance.

No, I think you misunderstood. Who would pay for M0s at a high rank? Probably either someone who still doesn't know what modifications are, or he's too strong of a dank memer to use anything other than M0 equipment.

After you rank up a few times from Recruit, the player can go to the store and buy all the M0 hulls and turrets for 1 USD. So, your Tanki career starts out with a M0 garage. The player can then try them all out and create combos of choice. These M0s remain open and can be played all the way through including the Legend ranks, not that I'm saying they will, only that they can. Why keep them open? They're useful only to mults and saboteurs. 

 

In XP/BP pro battles, you can't enter unless you have the right equipment loaded. Why can't the same hold true for the M0s? Once the M2 of a hull or turret becomes available, then the M0 is locked and you can't enter a battle with them loaded.

I have also Hornet M2 and Rico M2 but I will use them rarely after I will get M2 Smoky.

Since TO is not worried about losing players due to the ridiculous mission updates, I doubt they give a whiff about losing one or two players who spend all their crystals on paints.

This wouldn't apply to those turrets and hulls, but it would with your M0 Railgun. M0 becomes available at Corporal, M1 at WO3, M2 at 1st Lieutenant and M3 at Marshal. As Brigadier General, do you use your M0 Railgun in battle?

I know, but what if those guys don't know how not to be a saboteur and never learned it, maybe because their chat is off?

 

I still see a problem with this suggestion: What do you do with people that are high ranks and the only guns they have, are M0? Yes, they do play with this  -_-

I know they do. Read this:

Are you trying to tell me that a higher ranked player has nothing more in his/her garage than an M0? What rank are you calling "higher rank"? I'd say, in this case, 1st Lieutenant and above, though some would disagree. I would hope by the time a player reaches Brigadier, they would have more than a garage full of M0s. If a "higher rank" has an M0 garage, what do you suppose they spent their crystals on? 

 

EDIT: Since you're so sure that some "higher ranks" have a M0 garage, please let me know who they are. I want to see their profile. If there is even one M1 in that garage, then it's not a M0 garage.
