Which drone is good for Isida players?

As an Isida (@TO_Isida) I thought there should be a drone for Isida players that would help other players too and there are many but hard to find for each unlocking rank.

 

There are 3 category of drones Assault Drones, Defensive Drones & Support Drones and there are 4 different ranks , , ,  & .

 

I don't want to discuss a lot lets jump into the topic...

 

Which drone is good for Isida at rank , , ,  &  because I don't want to spending my drone on wrong drone because today there was an agreement in the battle in which 2 teammates was discussing that they purchased wrong drone and now they hate it. I want to use my crystals on the right drone so I don't end up like them!

This actually got me curious about a theory. The new Booster drone boosts your damage for a short time when you activate or pick up a DP supply. When fully upgraded it gives you 4x damage for 5 seconds after activation. So I though that since DP increases Isida's healing ability, then the drone should boost that as well, so I went and tested that.

 

Turns out - yes, it does. I don't know if that actually makes it the best drone for an Isida, but it basically allows you to heal an insane 3040 HP per second (vs the standard 760) for 5 seconds with a full MU drone and M4 Isida. That's enough to out-heal 5 enemy Vulcans shooting at your teammate simultaneously.

 

Although there's also the Defender drone, which provides an even greater defence bonus than Booster's damage bonus. So if you fully upgrade the Defender drone, you will take 5 TIMES less damage for 5 seconds after activation of DA. This can be extremely useful in higher rank battles, where enemies know to take out the Isida first, so most of the fire will be on you.

 

I don't really know if any other drone would be good specifically for Isida. Maybe Blaster, Supplier or Trickster, since you often die first (so you can use Blaster's effect to damage the enemies) and you are often close to teammates, so they can take advantage of your drone's effect radius.

 

That being said, drones are still extremely expensive to upgrade and use, so I wouldn't even consider them if you're anywhere below Legend and still have hulls, turrets and modules to upgrade.

I got isida m4 w nano bot alternation, viking m4, mechanic drone 8/20 mu-ed, since that drone is cheapest.

 

But since i got mechanic drone, i rarely use my isida, since i can heal multiple tank when attacking, though one time only, and only heal 1500/4000 if they under attack.

 

The bonus instant heal is so weak, it only add 500 when max mu-ed, under attack, it can only get 1/3 health back on my m4 titan.

 

Especially attack rugby base or enemy base, i prefer attack with my hammer or rail on titan , and support team with mechanic drone and my saved supply overdrive. So total 2500/4000 for my teammate save.

 

 

Same reason, i rarely use my nano bot alternation, since it is faster that i and my team kill single enemy first, then takte time to slow heal him back.

I’m not going to vote because I haven’t used Mechanic for comparison.

 

I have used both Assault and Trooper during those grueling Star Weeks. Both are really good for melee range turrets. I would let the map decide. For smaller maps, Trooper is a must in order to immediately engage the enemy at full strength. On larger maps, Assault gives you time to equip all supplies then prolong those drugs with each enemy you kill. Isida works well with both methods, so I would recommend buying both and steadily upgrading during sales.

 

Assault just got a bit of a nerf which makes entry level usage less impactful, so you’ll need to spend at least 5 MUs to get decent results. For that reason, Trooper would be my first pick to answer this thread.

The Mechanic drone was the first drone I purchased. I purchased it basically to only use it when I'm playing isida. It's really good for those times when you're low on ammo and multiple people need to be healed at the same time. Gives you a nice amount of time to reload and heal the others. 

Also, in those cases of failed overdrives where everyone is on low heal, someone uses an overdrive and everyone gets about 1,300 health but then a magnum or thunder hits us, I use it right after so everyone doesn't feel demotivated or scared to attack. 

 

As an isida, you have to understand how a player might feel in a scenario when they are by themselves and under enemy fire. They would retreat and when your angelic beam touches them, they feel motivated to get back into the fight knowing you got their back. Imagine going into the enemy base to YOLO it one 10% one last time before respawning, and suddenly, you get a repair kit and from an isida no less. You'd feel like mashing up every enemy in sight. So that's why I think the mechanic drone is the best drone for isida overall. 

 

 

The Supplier drone can be a good alternative for those isidas who like assisting the attackers on the team.  give them and yourself double armor and speed boost and you're all good to go for a tactical raid.

Assault Drone is good if the Isida player is playing in small maps or DM. Because Assault drone prolongs the effect and if Isida player is going to kill enemies and activate DA or DP and kills enemies it will prolongs the effect and chances of survive for isida player will increase. Assault drone is for killer isida players.

After watching this I think Trooper is useless because you cannot see the supplies it activates for you but it can be helpful if enemies are in your spawning area.

Mechanic drone is good but gives very less HP to allies.
