Challenges are here!

Few go to the Wiki, and not even the announcement has a link to that Wiki page, when it could be added to the Challenges panel in the game and be easy to use. I do have the link by the way.

For example, here I'm at Tier 3...

Then if I want to know how many stars are needed in Tier 4, I could just click Tier 4 and get this...

It doesn't work for me.

This year, I will not bother participating in THE GAME. The reason for that is because I don't earn much. I will leave THE GAME for you to earn goodies. I better hurry up to finish off the challenge by January 25th. I am doing 2 tiers every day to complete this challenge.

Why isn't there a V-Log this week?

It doesn't work for me.

It was a suggestion/example.

Here's another suggestion, this for renaming the confusing Battle Pass that is not a battle pass.

Vault 2, for which we would need to buy a Key. Vault 1 wouldn't need a Key.

Tier 35 :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o I never use my Freeze since it has only 10 MU. But it's the first XT I get in containers.

Not bad.  For tier 35 I just got 2x 10,000 crystals, 3.500 crystals and 125 SBs.

I'm stopping there now because there's nothing above T35 I need or want.

Pretty much everything on there we can buy with $ or crystals.  Except shot effects which we can only get from containers, and I hope in the next Challenge TO gives a wider range of shot effect prizes.

The paints were nice..... until half the players were wearing them.

not sure about others but all I have been getting from this event is drugs . even in containers. what is going on did you program it to give more drugs and put the ratio % to higher amount so less players would get a special rare items..

Lol. Yeah

That Bricks and Tesseract paints spell noob. LED and Lava are okay I think.

Don't you want to try for Lightning Storm and Fall Leaves? Although it means another 500 stars or 250 with premium.

Then this mean that Challenges is a popular event and therefore a good update.

He or She didn't really mean half the players.

lol, the idea was there and you approved it even if you try to minimise it now.

Plus you encourage him to earn more star - I would say good job.

The ones I'm seeing most on other players is the LED paint. Often 5-6 in each battle.  That's almost half the players.

I haven't seen any Lightning Storm or Falling Leaves paints on anyone yet.  But no, I don't think they're good enough to warrant the 500-600 stars anyway.

It's a good idea, but only up to a point. Use up mega supplies, gain a few okay paints.
Obviously some people are happy winning *something* while overlooking how much they lost to get that.

Yep. Most of my containers have had supplies, a couple had 10,000 crystals, and Domino and Potter paints (meh).
Overall, not a good catch considering the supplies used up.

If I get another container with 125 mines I'm gonna scream.

It covers a large base of players, the beginning is for casual players, but as you go forward more and more stars are required. Therefore only those hard core players and interested to play a lot will get the ultimate cosmetic.  I don't need cosmetics so I stop at tiers 15 :) .

I see at least one Lightning Storm paint user in every MM battle I go to and they are different people every time. This is in the Warrant Officer ranks by the way. I only see about 2-4 LED paint users per Warrant Officer battle. One thing that gets held constant is that almost all the of the Lightning Storm and LED users are people playing with the Siberian Kit.

I saw a few Legends with Lightning Storm.

I'm with Viking on this one. The Challenge event has been good overall. It gives good rewards for free players. It is easier and gives more rewards if you are willing to fork out some cash. So, not a pay-to-win event, but paying sure helps, and if you are willing to pay, it is a good return on the expense.

I disagree with the stigma on using supplies. There is no honor in being a "nonuser." Everyone has the same opportunity to use supplies. Sure, playing casually, meaning not every day, probably less than four hours total per week, will leave you wanting more supplies than you can earn, but playing about 8 hours per week, at least enough for one mission reward every day, should keep you up enough, especially if you get good and effective with the supplies.

As to playing and supply use, I play the same all the time. Supplies are part of the game. Using supplies wisely and effectively enhances every aspect of the game. At present, I'm playing only one account significantly, but I have six, and three of my four lower-rank accounts are always short on supplies. I play hard, and I use the supplies as wisely as I can figure out, but I use them. On the lower-rank accounts, that sometimes means I do without. It is a minor hardship. Lack of supplies on its own is not a detraction. Running out of supplies in a match is a bummer, but knowing you don't have any more repair kits or any more DD, well, you just play a little more carefully.

I don't buy supplies. For my current main account, I have bought the Premium (on sale), but I doubt I do so again, but that is related to Tanki decisions, not supplies. (And my low rank accounts don't have drones, so batteries, which are too expensive, are not part of the problem.)

The only complaint I have for the Challenges event is Stars. They aren't a very solid indicator of effort expended, and with the 90-point minimum, it is frustrating, even punitive. I think I understand why they use Stars for tracking progress, and I can't think of a better system that would be more justifiable, but the "activity" threshold is simply wrong. It shows very bad judgement on the part of Tanki. It implies contempt for lower-skilled players, and it exacerbates the problems of the match making system.

As an example, the other night I participated in an assault battle with a pair of players called Sweetality (spelled with an I for L in the second one). Sweetality spammed the chat for the entire match. Sweetality had two Viking-Isida. Sweetality positioned them in a corner away from the battle and sat there like they were kissing. At the end, both had points, one of the Isida had 85 points, presumably from healing each other. 5 more points and this totally inactive player would have received the Star reward. As it was, neither did. However, other players on both teams received zero Stars despite being active and trying the whole battle. They simply didn't do well enough.

Overall, Challenges and Stars increase my per-match award. Don't forget that the point of supplies is using them in battle to increase your share of the crystals. Helping your team win increases your crystals. Being higher ranked increases your crystals. With crystals, you can buy what you want from the garage. Effective use of supplies ends up increasing what you have in your garage.

A thumbs up from me.

Considering that devs didnt specify its possible that they're not sure themselves, this might be an experiment and it would depend on how many players participate etc. Cannot be sure, we get the same info as you do.

OK thank you! :P

The current Challenge ends upon the 25th of January. After that it will be unavailable until the next Challenge.

Challenges are the same as the crazy weekend and the stars week, but instead of being managed by a hand made website it is now managed by the Challenges feature. They used to happens every months and sometime twice a month, so expect more of them. However, this Xmas challenges was really big - 2000 stars - and I do think it was exceptional. Future Challenges would be smaller in time and rewards. For the 10th TO birthday I would think they will do a big challenge again.

Oh OK thank god xD we get breaks at least it's not like Fortnite. Anyway, thanks! :D

I disagree, it's good for non buyers that play a lot, and that are high ranks with good equipment. But if you are ranking up too much, the 10 containers, the 9 Golds and the 53k crystals are not a good deal.

It's good for non buyers only if you complement it to your missionary work, and that means like aiming to Tier 11. I'm going for Tier 6, this in part because I'm playing with a handful of accounts.

I think they nedd to give better rewards to non buyers, like 2 containers instead of 1 and less cosmetics. Then only double the rewards for buyers but give them more cosmetics.

They should compress all current non-pass rewards apart from the XT into the first 34 Tiers. Tiers 35 onwards should be additional crystal, container and RK rewards. Keep XT at 2000 to make it hard to get. Better rewards being winnable in 1028 stars would encourage more to take up that challenge. Once they bank half the better F2P rewards they're more likely to look at the Pass, realize its value and buy it, knowing the 3 days premium will help them finish the challenge..

However, as a first attempt at challenges...pretty good from Tanki, to be fair.

The prizes aren't that great, for 2000 stars.  The star prize (of a skin that adds nothing to the game) should have been something worthwhile, like a turret or a hull or an alteration.

The rewards are miserly, considering the effort needed.

You're not being serious are you? 2000 stars for 2 XT's that are not available to purchase anywhere, except to find it in the container which also has at least 5% chance of opening it inside the container - Whilst you can purchase turret/hull/alteration and you'd spend 25 days trying to get an item that it's already in the garage lol, you're deluded my friend.
