Thank you.

Yes, it has to be run on an old browser, like IE. https://tankionline.com/graphic.swf

Will challenges end after 6 weeks or after 22 days? In game I read 22 days remaining, it's bug or not?

After 6 weeks, the announcement has the correct information. Unfortunately, due to some technical error the in-game timer shows a wrong time.

Zny, check the Vlog and the first page of this thread, and if you wish to take the time, look for the comments from the mods on this thread, in the previous 250+ posts. Yes, 25 January 2019 is when this challenge ends. The Devs flubbed the timer on the Challenges tab. Mods have repeatedly announced it is being worked. I don't like to wade through several pages of prior posts either, so I thought I'd answer again for you.

For what it's worth, the timers on the missions are never accurate. At roughly 40 minutes to server reset, it is common to see the timer for the next mission showing a single digit. It tends to reset to another number next time one checks, and missions actually reset with the server reset, not the time indicated. It seems safe to assume the current challenge will end with the server reset on 25 January 2019 (the server reset that begins the 26th in Tanki time).

Challenges are the perfect type of missions to keep players occupied when playing Tanki Online. Those challenges have such a good reputation because players will be willing to play Tanki Online much longer. In other words, players will not leave the game like they used to do a few years ago. Now players have something to compete with, and that is daily missions, weekly missions and now challenges.

WRONG.

As soon as players realize their team won't win they will bail even faster.

Especially if they get placed in an ongoing battle - since it is possible to get 0 stars.

I've become quite conscientious about looking at the timer when I enter the battle. If it is under five minutes remaining, I leave without further consideration. (I almost never leave battles. It is a new effort for me.)

I've found one must pick a different battle button, or it will stick you back in the same hopeless battle.

I've seen battles where no one on the losing team received stars (during the last Star Week). It sure seemed to me the reason was simply being that outmatched. It is not possible for an entire team to be inactive. I'm no fan of the points/kills threshold. If it was time-in-match dependent, and the threshold was clearly stated and acknowledged as such, I'd have no complaint for the limit. (I still think the Stars system is a poor effort tracker.)

I hate to agree with RIDDLER, but he is kinda right (about me, anyway.) I have no problem getting 100 points, and I can usually make top place in s team that is getting crushed, and therefore receive 3 stars. People bailing out only helps me, and others like me.

I don't think so. Challenges are fun, even if you lose.

You can lose and end up with zero stars.  How is that fun.

Well that's awesome for you.  But I've been placed in battles that were already ongoing or quite unbalanced or both.

I've been first-place on losing team and received ZERO stars.  It IS possible to play entire battle and not meet the threshold.

As OKdad mentions above, anytime I'm placed in ongoing battle that is more than 2 min elapsed I will exit.  Not wasting my time.

Star-Events do not promote staying in battles.  That is a shame.

Players complaining about other players bailing can look to Star-Events as a major influence.

Same with missions.  Get stuck with that finish top-3 winner (x15)?  If MM places me in partial-completed battle I exit.

Just a little question - These challenges are permanent to stay? It's basically Star Week replacement?

Pretty sure. They said in V-Log 191 "Challenges are literally the improved version of star weeks".

This is a great idea Tanki and well done, it's an affordable way for most people to be able to own the new animated paints. However, I'd really love to know if any of you sat down and worked out the maths for someone to complete the battle pass, I hope you also considered how much harder it is for someone without premium to purchase the battle pass. There are 2000 stars to collect, you get 3 stars per match(for the sake of argument lets say they come first each time) 2000 divided by 3 is 666 recurring. You'd have to play 666 games over the 6 weeks to finish the battle pass(factoring in you have to come first each game which is highly unlikely). Each game lasts 8minutes, so lets multiply the the amount of games which is 666 by 8minutes for each possible game. This is 5328minutes, in hours this is 88.8hours(round to 89). We have 20days left on this battle pass. Hypothetically lets say someone plays for 2hours a day 89 divided by 2 is 44.5days to complete the battle pass if they win every game without the premium pass. I'm sorry for offending anyone but which genius thought that this would be a good idea, because for the average player who has other important things to do isn't going to shell out 10hours a day to complete a battle pass. This thing is so unrealisitc to the point it forces you to buy premium, people need to acknowledge how stupid this is and it needs to be changed. Overall, to even come close to finishing this you'd need 1month of premium which is 20 euros plus 4.49 euros for the pass and that doesn't even confrim completion. This is silly, Tanki was never like this before, saddened at what this game is now.

bro, the challenge takes ~40 days the in game 20d announcement is fake, but yeah ofc you gotta  play the game to get the rewards, that was the aim of it

the players online jumped from ~20k to 35k in the first day of the passes, i guess this is a good sign

but they also made it long enough so that you will think ''oh boy i need premium to finish this'' and thus buy premium

Pyre is right, I had noticed this yesterday:

7 v 7: Three people got 3 stars on the winning team.

3-stars.png

8 v 8: Two people got 2 stars on the winning team.

2-stars.png

Or maybe they put it like that because the Blue team has it harder in ASL? I don't know. This was just an observation made by me.

Premium account is worth it, it's like you're in the winning team by default; I'll just be mid fielder and kill steal in battles.

282 stars so far, I made 120.000 crystals in 2 days.

It'll be Lava Lamp that I'm after. I already saw a couple of Russians yesterday with the paint, they must've been playing non stop up until this moment.

Who said it was fake?

The in-game timer shows the wrong amount of time (both in the PC and mobile version). The in-game announcement shows the correct amount of time though: 6 weeks in total.

So in total it's 42 days right? Thank god, so much time to get those 2000 stars then.

I'm barely at Tier 2, but that's because I'm playing with all my accounts and doing 1 mission a day.

When 2x comes I'll only play with my mainer accounts doing 10 missions a week.

After the New Year celebration I'll hopefully play a lot less. My plan is to consume my alts one by one in PRO Battles. PRO Battles are fun even when you're fighting buyers or friends.

PS. I use the term buyer only to communicate the idea. I have nothing against buyers.

That's atleast 47 stars a day. I initially thought it was madness until I realized I were doing 100+ a day.

I considered myself casual player but that's out of the window right now. These challenges are a really nice addition to keep maxed out Legend occupied for sure lol.. I haven't had this kind of peserverance since I were Warrant Officer.

I buy things to keep it simple but I still like this game and to be supporting it this way gives a good feeling.. that's certainly not vice versa; they don't mind long term stayers at all. You have to suck it up and deal with what they throw at you but the core gameplay is still good to me.

Sorry about the one-word answers in battle yesterday my man, I am not quite the worthsmith when I play.

Cheers
