Which turret do you hate being killed by the most?

Have you tried using the overheat to counter the freeze effect?

I'm not sure what you are asking. Overheat isn't something you can turn on and off by a click of a button. It dosen't matter if I'm in overheat or not. When Freeze targets me, all I can do is sit there. The turret is a slow mover to begin with and when I'm frozen the turret doesn't move at all. My tank will move, very slowly, but not fast enough to counter a rear end attack, even with anti-freeze module. Mine is M2.3.

It's Isida. I feel like its beam can extend whenever it touches you. Even if you are wasp M4 running with speed boost this isida can still catch you.

 

Isida always kills me the fastest, but I don't see it as the most annoying turret to be killed by, for me that would be hammer.  -_-

anyone with rail hornet.

Gotta admit those guys are very annoying, but when you encounter them at close range you can easily kill them.

 

 

So far (Hammer, Isida, and Shaft) come at the first three spots respectively.

 

But I'm surprised that Striker, Vulcan(with burning alteration), and Thunder didn't get nearly as many votes as the rest. I think it's pretty frustrating to be killed by them.

Hammer and striker. Striker is annoying because it does huge damage just passing by without actually striking my tank.

The same thing happens with Ricochet and Twins (to an extent). Does that mean that Ricochet and Twins are equally annoying to you as well?

Well I used to think long ago that when I will be working for Tanki (which ofc i know is not possible, actually it might be) I will remove twins... until then I used to hate it so much... but this Christmas sale I bought twins and played with it myself and I gotta say that I understand why it is so annoying... just infinite shots, range is OK and damage is too OP. I just destroy each and every hull even without DD, I especially go after those noob thunders, firebirds and isidas... it is fun when you kill them 1v2 and you just feel like a God.

Good Thunder, Smoky, Vulcan, Shaft or Rail can easily kill Twins across the map. Rico and Duplet Hammer have bigger DPS so they usually win against Twins. Fire and Freeze need to get close but if they get, Twins is dead.

The sad thing is that Twins' impact force is stronger than it should be. If you're a Hornet or a Viking trying to catch up to it and it's shooting at you, chances are that you're not gonna be able to do decent damage to it since, for a melee turret, you'd be constantly out of range as the shots push you back and for close range turrets, you aim would be constantly knocked off because some shots would tap you but then others would slap you. Nerfing the impact force wuld give a lot of turrets a better chance at lethally damaging the Twins.

Twins used to get me pretty annoyed and that's why I finally got it.

 

But so far I've had mixed results with it, some battles turned out very good and others very bad. I guess that's how gameplay is with it, there's no middle ground. It actually works great against short ranged turrets because of its high DPS, and also does fine against any other turret as long as they are near you.

Not if I use hunter or viking, with hornet obviously easy kill for others but with hunter I never die against hammer. 4 shots against rail m2, 3 shots against hammer (Which makes duplet useless against me), don't even think about thunder, it is useless, I ALWAYS win against Fire, freeze only kills me if the opponent has full health with viking. Vulcan is the only one that seems dangerous, I somehow manage to survive shaft with 1 HP left, and if smoky does not have auto cannon alteration or fire alteration, they'll never win.

 

All I am trying to say is that twins can only be killed depending on the hull you are using.

Medium hulls are not strong enough to survive more than 1 sniping enemy. When 2 Smokies or Thunders aim at the same tank, even heavy hulls have no chance.

 

Duplet is absurdly strong even against my Titan. It kills me with 4 shots in just 4,5 seconds. I can shoot only 3 times with Smoky at the same time.

 

When you manage to survive Shaft with 1 HP and a random Smoky or Thunder shot ruins your RK, someone will easily finish you.

The sad thing is that Twins' impact force is stronger than it should be. 

I think Twins has had a quiet nerf since May, because I used to be able to flip tanks over and also spin them round with the Plasma Accelerators (Long Range) alt.

Since I came back to TO in December my Twins can't do that anymore.

 

The turret I hate is Hammer.  No warning, no incoming, just bang-bang and you're re-spawning.

thunder for sure. its such a nubby turret, with little skill required to use. but my biggest problem is that every single thunder player seems to have this aura of cockiness, and think they're pro whenever they get a kill. 

 

also lol @ all the people complaining about duplet, just get hammer protection. the alteration is only effective against enemies that dont have higher protection, otherwise standard settings does more damage...

 

as an isida main im kinda suprised to see how many people think its annoying to get killed by isida... like as an avid isida player myself, if im going to use up all my turrets energy to kill you, you should feel honored lol.

well lots of turrets force you to wear protection, firebird protection is basically a must in every battle, especially with all the alts that do the same effect as firebird

 

just post a screenshot maybe? that should work

And even with 50% protection against firebird, it still won't be enough.
