Which turret do you hate being killed by the most?

yay!

well lots of turrets force you to wear protection, firebird protection is basically a must in every battle, especially with all the alts that do the same effect as firebird

just post a screenshot maybe? that should work

I believe firebird itself isn't much of a menace when you have a +35% module. However, the module is necessary because like what you've said, several turrets now have a burning alteration so it's very wise to use it.

Haven't used screenshots for a while, thanks for reminding me.

Striker - because more than once I ran into the 'non-locking' Striker hack that fires all missiles after the beam has touched me for just a micro-second and then all hell breaks loose.

thunder for sure. its such a nubby turret, with little skill required to use.

also lol @ all the people complaining about duplet, just get hammer protection. the alteration is only effective against enemies that dont have higher protection, otherwise standard settings does more damage...

Thunder needs just as much skill as Smoky, maybe even more because of splash (possible self damage) and longer reload. Thunder needs peek-a-boo more than Smoky.

Both Hammers have the same damage per shot. Difference is in the reload time. Calculate average reload of both Hammers and you will see that Duplet Hammer has 35% more DPS than stock Hammer. That automatically makes Duplet Hammer the most OP turret in Tanki. The second is incendiary Smoky.

I remember encountering a different Striker hack that was used frequently on test server, where the lock-on laser didn't appear at all and suddenly I'd be destroyed by a barrage of rockets coming from nowhere.

I fought against Cyclone Striker who could lock in about 1 second xD

Just updated the post Yesterday, I included a chart that shows the number of votes each turret received, for anyone who was interested in knowing.

Hey, it's best and most convenient if you add a forum poll to your topic (via the 'Use Full Editor' edit option in the main post).

Congratulations, you're the first player to choose thunder.  :)

But on your second statement, a duplet hammer still performs much better against 50% modules than other turrets do. Also, hammer now forces you to use a module against it, while something like an isida or a vulcan or whatever makes you use a module only if you're personally annoyed by it.

I got all the replies on a simple spreadsheet, if anyone wants to see it I just need to know how to post it here lol.

This is what happen if you use Wolf module.

At this point, in the low ranks, it's Freeze. They are so abundant now and they get first in almost every DM battle and medium map Team battles. I feel like to capture freeze in its correct spot, the damage should be nerfed a little while slightly increasing the freezing rate. A turret that freezes you and does a butt ton of damage is rather powerful.

It also feels wrong that players can get M2 Freeze (which is the earliest unlockable M2) five ranks earlier instead of two or three.

Thank you for informing me. While it is much quicker and easier to manage a poll, I preferred using a chart instead because it looks kind of better, and I believe there's less chance of getting people randomly voting any turret just for the sake of it, or choosing all of the options available. I could add a poll however, if anyone wants me to.

I don't understand what you mean Frozen, imo using a wolf module cannot stop the duplet madness, it's the exact same thing that happens when you equip a firebird module in a battle with no drugs in it, still kills you crazy fast.

I hate to deal with a.... you know a Railgun (I don't hate) spamming Eagle when I use Shaft. It's not fair to me...

wolverine know that I hate to deal with them. He told me to buy modules to counter-punish. WTH?! NO! It's overpriced and I won't buy them even though I have over 1 million crystals.

I just want to have sweet revenge whoever dare to use a module beside Spider. Duplet did that. Which... I admire of them..

And even with 50% protection against firebird, it still won't be enough.

Don't necessarily need it.  I find the best way to deal with Firebird coming towards you is to reverse and drop a mine, firing as you reverse.

Nearly always, you back up, they keep coming, but firing as they come and their own fire hides your mine.

Works every time.

It's when they attack you from behind I have no answer to...

It better do.  I'm MU'ing my Wolf module like crazy to get it to 50%.

I'll be so p*ssed if that turns out not to work.

People play with sound enabled so they would be able to hear the mine being placed. I, by choice, am blind to this as I have sound disabled at all times. Many times, I've done this and they stop right before the mine. And most often, they would have compact tacks so it's a win for them anyway. Most of the Compact tanks I face are M3. If they even touch me for 0.5 seconds with double damage, my Titan is dead. That's how broken it is.

When they attack you from behind, you're dead unless you can get away quick and use a Repair Kit.

It helps me survive for about 4.5 more seconds. I have 39% against hammer and they can still kill my Titan in 2 clips (assuming I don't have double armour activated).

Sometimes I would stand still and place a mine where I'm at, then when they approach me I'd back up, and they easily hit the mine.

I don't know what to do when being attacked from behind though.

Compact tanks is nearly as broken as Duplet, while I do enjoy the ease at which it can get rid of all those annoying heavily protected tanks, I must admit it is still very powerful and needs a nerf for sure. Firebird's afterburn in general should be nerfed, and compensated by increasing the damage, so you'd have to burn a target for more time to get a kill, not 0.5 seconds.

No! Don't nerf!! How will Duplet and Compact Tanks counter-punish Fox/Wolf modules spammers?!?!

The thing is, it's already stronger than the modules. And since it's stronger than the modules, players without the modules will continue to suffer unnecessarily.

Well, like Congo said, the players who don't have the module will not stand a chance. By the way, regardless of what happens to the alterations, you can still be very helpful to the team. Since firebird and hammer often get some players in the enemy team to switch one of their modules to replace them with wolf or fox, that potentially means you can spare several teammates from having to deal with a module against their own turret, thus you can help your team advance without even knowing it.

It also doesn't have to be a massive nerf, just an adequate one that ensures they are not supremely powerful, nor completely useless.

I hate to be killed by Magnum turret. How the heck the guy who genius in mathematics are so professional to use this turret?

It's not the professional mathematicians who use this turret, it's the people who like to see others in pain and misery who use this turret. lol

Since I am twins + hunter, hammer with duplet is useless against me, so I'd go with magnum.

These days I see magnum M0's killing Hornet M3's.

At the moment you, as a mid-rank, are only seeing weak, diluted, watered-down duplets.

Wait until they are full M4 and MU'd to the gills....  they won't be so useless against your M2 Hunter then.

Might want to upgrade your M0 modules, and buy a Hammer one while you're at it.
