Average Playing Duration may increase if there are Night Maps in MM.

If it may increase then we must do it!
I am gonna lose my eyes in the process, but hey, no pain no gain. right!? right?

But I fondly remember the Esplanade days.  Is a good map with a bit of everything.

tbh most of the maps I mentioned aren't suitable for MM like Madness(not a real map just for fun)... also Gravity.. I just opened the battle list and chose some maps randomly

but for sure these maps (Garder-Farm and a lot) at least will change this fking boring routine with MM... even if you want to do parkour (if you jump on building in example) you will SD immediately before Hopper released... they try to destroy all the fun and makes the maps 100% practically.. so for sure jumping over buildings isn't a practically thing in MM or Madness map..

tbh most of MM maps are pretty good like Red-Alert OSA Kungur Sandal... but they're all boring because we play in these repeatedly without anything new, bad routine, also these maps are appropriate for all (noobs - pros) so pros didn't have advantage in skills because it's also suitable for noobs

I strongly disagree, even without results from testing. Night mode is hard on the eyes and makes it difficult to see things. Tanks and paints look dull, details look washed out, and in general it's a less pleasant experience. If devs added proper lighting that would make maps look like something out of Cyberpunk, then maybe it would have some appeal, but night mode in its current form is just a gimmick that's sometimes used for special events and rank-up parties.

Halloween is always night map. And it's the most played event every year.

https://prnt.sc/vcg4ny

I'm not saying it's most played because of night theme. That can be the case but I'm not sure. What I'm trying to emphasize is that majority of people play Halloween Mode and they seem to enjoy it.

On the other hand many big games and even Fortnite implement this kind of feature, where during a battle, Night and Day changes.

Since a single battle in battle royale games like PUBG, Free Fire, is too long, changing the day and night helps to increase the retention.

Even in my yt videos, I've seen that retention graph holds when a night clip is shown every now and then.

Now though tanki battles are small, but using this strategy may help even here.

What they enjoy about it is the Golbox rain and that's about it. The map theme could be daylight, on a tiny map or an overly large map (Berlin) or on the moon with low gravity, GB rain will be always popular and attract player for a day or two. The night theme might be popular there and in pro-battle but it's mainly due to being different than MM, or to enjoy special effect or for a romantic date (disclaimer: TO is not a dating site ?).
It is true that night theme fit more halloween and xmas/winter event.

Too small for 16 tanks.

And the bloody hopper can "fly" a good chunk of the map distance (over the barriers) making it disproportionally powerful there.

GB rain has been there is tons of events these last couple of years. So that can't be the reason.

Hmm so I was thinking about a sort of gold box in mm that'd drop 10 tankoins and it's related to this suggestion. Like it would be cool if there'd be a thing called tankoin boxes that'd give the player that catches the box 10 tankoins. This wouldn't be like daily tankoins and wouldn't ruin the game's "economy". It'd also be much easier for players to earn tankoins and just like when container gold's drop, it'd not mention whether it's a tankoin box dropping or a normal gold. It honestly sounds pretty cool and would make tankoins far easier to earn when there's a chance that tankoin boxes drop. It'd also make players wanna play a LOT more than usual and players would have a chance to earn extra tankoins.

(Just like the way cont golds drop, there should be a similar one like tankoin boxes that drop tankoins)

Hello people. I'm an old player before matchmaking there was bunch of maps in battle list. Most popular maps were SILENCE POLYGON and ofcourse NOISE. Probably polygon and noise were the most popular. Why matchmaking system doesn't have NOISE map at all... My idea is to add Noise map in to matchmaking maps lists...that would bring more people to matchmaking... with hope that they will get to noise..definetly a lot people love that map.

I really think its good if we can increase the size of group from maximum 3 players to 5 or 6 players.

This would make the MM battles for fun competitive. There are a lots MM clans which are really active but due to the limit of 3 players they have to make different groups  and play separate

Exceeding the limit to Max 6 players will give more opportunity to play together.

It's a good idea, but keep in mind, larger groups mean longer matchmaking wait times.

The system has to find a battle where there are still 5 or 6 spots still open on a team for a group to join.

Additionally, the current algorithm tends to put two groups on opposing teams of a match, and with larger groups, it's harder to find other groups of 5-6 players waiting for a battle at a similar rank.

I agree. Also, friends tend to have better communication with one another, either by talking in real life or using a calling app, while everyone else has to use the in-game chat.

No.

For reasons already mentioned.

Many players do not play in groups, so they will be at a huge disadvantage when they end up against a team that has 6 friends and 2 randoms.

It would make battles less fun and less competitive.  Might benefit you.  But not majority of players.

I assume the way group MM works is it creates a new battle, puts one group on one side and another on the other side, and then fills the remaining slots with solo players. But you are right that such groups would require other groups of 5-6 players to be found, and that can prove to be challenging.

The title is self-explanatory. Every other game that bases on matchmaking systems like the one in Tanki won't let players leave matches easily, without the player leaving being punished. So why not introducing punishments in Tanki too? Players who leave a battle for the first time should get a warning, after leaving a second one they should be banned from MM (not indefinitely, only for a certain amount of time, should become more time the more you get banned from MM).

I know that some matches are horrible to play, but still. You might ruin someone else's battle by leaving, and that should be prevented!

I know in Clash Royale, they ban you if you leave too many 2v2 matches at a time....

But still, I think in Tanki, the punishment of not awarding crystals for a match is just enough right now.

Of course, I am heavily annoyed when the player I spent half the match trying to kill ends up intentionally leaving right before I land the killing shot.

So overall, extra punishments are....okay, but keep in mind, some players may "leave" only because of a poor internet connection. I know because before August of this year, my wifi was kinda trash. And thus, it's not fair to "accidentally" punish players just because of poor wifi.

Every other week we have someone posting something like this.  And you know what?  IT. JUST. WON'T. WORK.

There are many reasons why players leave battles - many of them completely legitimate.

- Enemy team caps a flag before defenders have loaded.  In a 7 minute battle that is a huge handicap.  Would you start a hockey game spotting the other team a free goal?   I don't think so...

- 1 or more players on my team enter battle with a grossly low GS compared to everyone else playing = MULT.

- Team-mates sitting around chatting way more than they are playing, and their score reflects that = MULT

- a player on my team not actively playing.  AT. ALL.  It's like playing a sport with a permanent penalty.  = MULT.

- Grossly unbalanced teams - easy to tell by the ranks, and the early scoring reflects this.

- Getting placed in a battle with 4 or less minutes to go.

- Team is so weak players are constanly getting spawn-killed.  E-X-I-T.

- End up in a battle where I'm 6 to 8 ranks below everyone else.  Good luck completing any missions.

- MM places me in Archipalego, Stadium or Wolfenstein.  Adios.

Matchmaker has a ton of flaws that could be corrected, and that would lead to fewer players leaving battles early.

But suggesting early leavers be punished will never work.  Players will continue to exit battles because of any of the reasons I list above.  And if you ban them - guess what happens?   You have fewer and fewer players in the game and MatchMaker will get even worse.  How does that help?

Tanki X had punishment for "deserters".  That turned out great for Tank X.  Right?

What was the punishment ?

You got the Deserter status, that only placed you against other Deserters, and you got no bonus streak for playing multiple battles in a row.

Spoiler

ps. I miss Tanki X

I'm strongly against leaving any battle you play. I mostly complete any battle I join.  Before MM, when I was about to enter a battle, usually I intentionally join the weak team, to lead them to the win, opposite of most players that want to play with winner team.

But, after MM. I changed my opinion, I think tanki deserve all these exits to happen, their horrible MM deserve that. Why I should play if they putted me with 9999GS, how could I complete the tired missions they put? like 15 in Top 3, or capturing 3 balls. For sure I changed my opinion and I leave if the battle I didn't like it (though until now I complete every battle), but I don't blame anyone who leave, putting me with 9999GS or in Archipalego map..

And a futuristic answer to anyone who would say "MM is hard to be perfect or balanced". Ok, Why then they put it as a main choose, and not just a main choose but mandatory! so it must to be near to perfect, to made the choice converted from Battle list to MM.

I think it would be fantastic if Tanki gave players an in-game poll, so players could chose maps for the next week. For example, give a list of all medium maps and ask people to chose 5, and the same with large maps. This would let players chose which maps they want. Maybe, there can be a rule that maps for the current weak are not given as choices for not week, but can return next to next week. I think this would help filter out terrible maps such as Massacre, and maybe let players try out new or different maps, such as the amazing Novel

Similar things have been suggested many times before. I love the idea, but I think devs' official stance on this is that it's not worth implementing. But you never know...

Massacre...the map that is hated by at least 50% of the players.  Actualpy, it used to be my favourite map when i started playing (in 2014), because it was good for every turret. Then, it was reworked, and i didn't like the new version, so i started playing on other maps. Some weeks ago, i realized that the old massacre is still here, as a non-MM map. I suggest to delete the current MM massacre, and make a new one based on the old massacre (but don't remove the central hill, that's important). That mipe size is just literally perfect, and if you introduce that map to MM, i think a lot of players will like it.
