Ideas for Matchmaking System!

Instead of GS, put Druggs. You use daily 0-20 druggs you are in group A of Tanks. You use daily 50 druggs group B. You use daily 100, in group C. You use 200, in group D. You use 400+, in group E. When you join a battle, they will put some players from group E with group A in a team against group B + C. No more crap GS system.

I stay in battle when I see my team has 4 GS, enemy 2. I say "easy win". But, surprise. 1 of 9999 player in my team don't use druggs and the other can't turn turret. I'm like, what is this crap...

And how is this more balanced? If anything this'll make battles even more unbalanced.

Either Skill issues (cuz $$$$) .... or that 9999GS player is just trolling.

I am not going to reiterate my idea as it would have been quite lengthy, but rest assured i did come up with a solution.

Game is already unbalanced. What more unbalanced do you dream ? I prefer battles, or teams where all druggs. Not 2-3 from 10 players in a team. And druggs I mean constant use. Not 5 in a single battle.

He doesn't really care how it happens, he just wants it to happen.

OOOOKKKKKKK this is how you balance MM and improve the game also.

Now I have to point out that this idea (are something very similar) has been posted before-BY ME, at least a zillion times.

I also have to point out that although it would 100% and undeniably be a success, it would not help those players that have already ranked way beyond there means to maintain a upgraded and competitive garage, of which there are many, but hazel knows best, right!----nah, totally not right.

1-Make it so that ranking needs 3x more XP to reach "the next rank" all the way to marshal. This easy fix would ensure that players get the chance to upgrade their garage before the next rank, as they would stay at that rank for longer and also it would ensure, over time that more battles would be fought by equal ranks. Players would also earn more crystals and have the chance to gain more supplies. I know the upgrading system has changed (yet again, for the worse) but this idea still applies. 

2-Make it so that players do not face other players more than two ranks above them. NO.1 applies.

3-This is a new idea. Containers opened by ranks below major only get crystals and supplies, as these are the single, most favourable commodity that they need at the lower ranks.

4-Make a link that is "easily" accessible for all players that takes them to a page were they can see what items are unlocked at any particular rank. This helps a lot when judging what to upgrade with your precious crystals. The wiki just doesn't do it good enough and is quite hard to navigate when trying to find something specific to your (players) needs.

5-A lot of updates need scrapped or re-worked so they benefit players, especially the lower ranked players. There are far to many to name and it would take ages to do so. I know the devs don't act on any ideas that make comprehensive changes to their updates, but in order for MM and the game as a whole to improve dramatically, that notion also needs "SCRAPPED".  

6-When finishing a battle give more crystals than XP, x2 more should suffice. This would help players out in a big way, much like the ranking process stated in NO'1.

7- Way more crystals needed for ranking, 1000 is a joke.

8- While your implementing these good fixes for the game, you may as well sort out the players names and notifications blocking everything in battle.

9-Stop copy/pasting in the game.

10-Make turrets unique again. 

This is just a few ways to improve the game and I deliberately did not mention the shop, or P2W items in order to not impact the games economy a great deal.

Do all this and the game will improve ten fold from a players perspective and by doing that, no doubt see an increase in player numbers and a lot less negativity aimed at the game.

What I want ? Better MM. What you don't understand ? If I use 100+ druggs daily, put me in a team or a battle where all players druggs. Like 10vs10. Well you should have said that it takes into account of how many supplies a player typically uses daily from the get go. ?‍♂️

Otherwise we would've assumed that it was a limit to how many supplies a player can use on a day.

 

Anway, this is a complicated system to implement, and I doubt it'll give any significant improvement.

I noticed that many of the MM maps can hold up to 20 or more players. If we reduce that number by 1/3 then the following will happen:

• lagspikes becoming less frequent.

• rank gaps being smaller.

• smaller GS gaps.

• probably shorter wait times.

I think whether a player uses supplies or not depends on how many supplies they have. Like me, although I'm already 9999, but I still don't have enough supplies, I often used off supplies, so in some battle, I never used supplies or used a little supplies. I think the system cannot identify which player will use supplies. 

Anyway, I think the they should remove some noob players, they never turn their turrets, and move, just like robots. I think tanki should move this kind of players.

What do you mean by remove noob players? Remove them from the battles? And how do you determine who is a "noob"?

It's not like these players play horrible on purpose. They can't do any better. Besides, the possibility of getting less skillful players in your team is just the same as them being in the opposite side.

Those who never turn or turn their turrets, only shut in one way and never move. They operate like a robot! 

I think if you are not doing well, like you miss many shuts, it's ok, I often miss shut, too. But I can't stand players who don't move at their birth point, or who never turn.

If you are AFK, you are removed from battle. If a player, in full battle, has less than 150-200 points, is noob for me. Remove him from battle. Bye bye. I saw enemy team, with 2 players that just mined all the base, like 100+ mines. It ended 0-0 Rugby, they got about 300 points (both, not each). They where last in team.

I got a couple more ideas for balancing MM but they're a bit more complicated than what I've been posting lately.

You can't balance matchmaking that is not skill-based, especially not with such a small player base. Any kinds of restrictions to the current matchmaking system will drastically increase queue times, and players will just start complaining again.

Yes, a lieutenant should not be matched against legends, obviously. But this is happening because there are just not enough players queuing for a lieutenant to fill an entire match. What do you want them to do, wait for 30 minutes, perhaps hours in queue to find a game? Make them stop playing because they can't find a match with players on their rank? That's also pointless.

Skill-based matchmaking should have been added years ago, it would have easily made the game face fewer problems nowadays, and I bet that the player base would have also been bigger. But now, I don't see how you can "fix" matchmaking without increasing queue times noticeably.

Personally, I would also shrink the teams to maybe a 6v6 as that's (I think) the current tournament standard and also decrease the duration to 10 minutes + a couple seconds as prep time. It would probably make the game more enjoyable, but not really more fair, as it would still not be skill-based. I don't even think that the current matchmaking is bad or something, but rather that everything around it, such as ranks and how you progress - so basically the whole game - is simply flawed.

A smaller ranks gap will get you nothing. Even if you have a lobby full of 9999 GS legends, half of them will still be total buffoons who know nothing about the game, leading the team with more bad players to still be totally dominated. So here, the problem is not the matchmaking, but that it's not skill-based and that the current ranks are a totally outdated concept, which is in fact the one devs came up with 14 years ago or even more. I think the devs themselves mentioned in some V-Log that they didn't think they would make it this far, and that the current ranks are indeed an outdated concept.

The way you progress/upgrade your tank is also totally flawed. Unless you rework the whole thing, I also don't think you can make matchmaking more fair. But talking about this would go beyond the scope of this discussion.

To conclude, I still don't see how you can make it fair without having it skill-based. And for skill-based, it's unfortunately too late.
