Two Drone Ideas: Guard & Nitro

As i said, crisis grants you a speed that is insane and way too OP,  even if you can only use speed boost. If this drone could let you have the boost of the current crisis and da and dd, the those teams will win instantly win that has more of this drone. I would rather not to have a drone that boosts speed, but if we have to have it, the statistics should be the following:

  • extra supply power: +30% (max level)
  • duration: 5s

No, no, no, no. 

 

+50% damage already breaks so many barriers and makes it near impossible to approach competent Crisis players depending on what turret they're using. With +100%:

 

  • Uranium missiles will start one-shotting light hulls with DA, and heavy hulls without DA. 
  • Hammer will start one-shotting medium hulls.
  • EMP Gauss will start one-shotting unprotected heavy hulls and light hulls with DA. 
  • Gauss, Magnum and LCR Railgun will start deleting anyone that comes close. 
  • Scout Railgun will start one-shotting medium hulls. 
  • Heavy Capacitors Shaft will start one-shotting medium hulls with DA and 50% Shaft protection. 
  • Light Capacitors Shaft will start one-shotting slightly injured heavy hulls with DA. 

 

Not to mention the many other interaction changes that would happen against already injured enemies. In my opinion, the one thing they did good with Crisis was giving it a (relatively) small damage boost in maximum damage mode.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure Hyperion is essentially a Trooper Drone that lasts forever.

Brutus' 10% extra health and damage doesn't even compare to Defender's Triple Armor, which essentially gives you 200% extra health during 66% of the battle (unless if someone manages to kill you before the Defender's 20 second duration wears off, in which you can respawn and reset the cooldown and get more triple health.

A Lifeguard user can 1v1 a Mechanic user. Yes, Mechanic is great for farming points if you're a free-to-play person who needs to do their "Finish in the top 3 places of the winning team" missions and such, but in DM and in a 1v1 situation against a Lifeguard player, the Mechanic player has no chance of survival unless the Lifeguard player just happened to be really bad at playing Tanki. Additionally, something as small as a random Vulcan bullet can deactivate Mechanic's healing due to the way the repair kit works. Lifeguard on the other hand, heals all of it's given hitpoints instantly.

These are just examples, but there's a reason why I never see a Legend play with the Camper Drone, especially if stuff like Hyperion is essentially the same thing but it works all the time, no matter how much health you get.

Consuming extra supplies doesn't matter at all to big-time buyers. They most likely have near-infinite supplies.

This mechanic essentially means stuff like Defender, Booster, Hyperion, Crisis, Lifeguard, and Blaster are Off-Limits to non-buyers, unless the non-buyer has saved up thousands of supplies from years of playing, or they got really lucky "250 of all Supplies" containers.

Actually, Crisis should have the cooldown between switching supplies increased as well, like 2 seconds at max level.

Yes, very true.

  • It was just that since I wanted to decrease Crisis's Defense and Speed to 1/2, I wanted to also make its damage 1/2.
  • Booster does up to 200% more Damage boost, so I wanted Crisis to do 100% more.
  • But as you said, the 50% damage boost, that it has now, is pretty strong already.
  • So we can leave this part the same.

 

But I would still like to see Crisis's defense become 25 --> 50% and speed boost 20 --> 35%.

This way, the single boost Drones have twice as much as Crisis.

Do you think this can make Crisis more balanced for everyone?

Just a random Idea: if booster gets boosted damage, defender getting boosted armor, Why not complete the set of drones that boosts speed specifically. like the speed boost bonus duration would last 8 seconds and consumes 3 speed boosts, and added speed would be 60% when maxed . Passive armor would be 5% and 5% damage when maxed. I also want to add that the cool down before reactivating the drone would be 10 seconds. The Drone name will be called Acceletor. (Yes I know many may not like the idea or many would say we have enough drones, but I want something fair or close to rivaling crisis in speed since the drone is very difficult to obtain. Plus it wouldn't be as strong as crisis.) 

On the serious note I would want this idea to be implemented because I believe that all hulls should have equal opportunity to do capture modes instead of just hoppers doing 80% of the captures. But it doesn't mean hoppers will just stop capping but i would like to try capping flags or balls using a med or a heavy hull. 

(Please note: if you guys think 60% is too much 55% should do to)

I don't think the developers will do that, if they changed Trickster's effect then it means those effects were not good.

I thought it was good - why else would it have stayed in the game for 3 years?

 

If it wasn't "good", they should've changed it a lonnnng time ago.

Or give trickster it's old effects back and actually release a new drone called "Nitro" that does what Trickster does now, like how @Aigaion originally suggested XD

Too busy creating crappy skins no one cares about (apart from @RIDDLER_8 maybe) and generally killing the game.
