Changes in battles & Massacre map

I can appreciate the flavourist allegory because I love cooking. My problem is how most of the moderators always take the viewpoint that Tanki Devs can do no wrong and that it is just complaining players who are the problem. You guys contend that if only players would embrace the changes then all would be well in Tanki land. That attitude is quite evident in how you opened your comment. Sorry but I do care, I loved playing the game. I've watched the game that I used to love playing over the years be ground down into a pale shadow of what it once was with one bad update after another by Pony Tail Boy and his Dev minions. So once again I'm sorry if I pipe in from time to time to point out that fact and to scold the people who enable them. The main problem is attitude. It's the attitude that the players know nothing and only the all wise Pony Tail Boy and Devs are wise enough to make the game great again. I think the evidence shows that thinking is wrong. Even the release of the mobile version hasn't significantly raised the number of active players and after an initial boost, once again Tanki is starting its downward slide again.

Oh by the way, I'm glad the Client works for you, but if you would pay attention to some of the negative comments about the client you would come to realize that for many it is kind of buggy and has been so since it came out.

We are here to explain what developers did, yes there are controversial changes and some that are not understood by players but which are nevertheless important for the game future proofing. Not all is well, sadly and every correcting are slow to happens if not critical.

But there is an assumption that players have an impact on devs decision, well yes there is but it is unfortunately very small. Therefore it is not that developer are always right (and the players knowing nothing) or do not care, it more about that the game is owned by TO and they decide was it should look like. Saying that reading and listening to players feedback is important to find the clues that something is not working for all.

This is why helpers gathers feedback into Weekly reports and this is why players should give feedback in a comprehensive and detailed manner. For the quality of the later, it is important that we all understand each others: some players express the feeling to always play the same map, well there is 30 maps in MM, and that need to be known. Then someone said all maps look the same, so it is like white horse and horse white, I disagree Brest is not the same as Red alert or Silence. I don't need to be an helpers point out those.

Client, yes it works for me, and I prefer to use it compared to the browser version, and I would encourage other player to switch because the HTML5 is not ready and some players experience issue with existing browsers. There are issues with the client, I had some before times to times, reporting them would help better than not reporting any. I see Impulse checking the bugs section on regular basis.

Client is buggy times to times, but when I played everyday on it (my experience is on MM only at the moment) I have encounters far less problem, maybe I am a lucky one. If you don;t play everyday on it it is better to reinstall it before playing again.

TO has implemented a lot of interesting update and automated a lot of event process. On the other hand, I wish that they would stop adding new stuff, but, like you I have little influence on that process. Saying that i think the new overdrives will be interesting to have and reduce the game impact of the current OD.

Massacre map still stinks. It is poor for DM. It is horrid for team battles. It still has random invisible walls appearing intermittently.

It's better than Wolfenstein.    And better than Iran - one of the laggiest maps in Tanki - rivals Berlin on that.

Massacre is so boring now.  It is just another Brest.  Too far to go to get any kind of score.  It went from unique and open to protected bases and now the buildings.  For some players, like me, it was their favorite map since it had a dynamic feel as you could run around and around.  Now it's drive from base to the opposition base...repeat for seven minutes...game over.  Tedious, bland, homogenized, and BORING.

Yeah - they seem to be homogonizing the maps.

ORIGINAL massacre was best - gain that central ridge and let'r rip.

No no, original Massacre was best.

Fast paced, inverted flags, such fun!

To get an impression (sadly not much action going on because it's about a gold box):

Forgot about the inverted flags.  B)

was difficult if you could not communicate with your team as they returned the other flag too soon all the time.

They never realized they should wait until you are just about to cap.

just play ASL and it's basically the fun of inverted flags without having to deal with brainless teammates

Been wanting to say this years ago but I forgot that Tanki had a forum and saying it in the chat would ultimately be futile.

I helped my team capture flags like that before in long Massacre battles yet they didn't seem to learn anything from it. I don't know about the vast majority of the playerbase but I found it pretty obvious how to work around inverted flags to your favour. Sadly, others couldn't see through it which costs my and many other teams close battles.
