Achievement title above player's name in battle

Recommended Posts

Hello, nice to go back to the forum after years ...

I will be brief and honest, nobody is interested in achievements, achievements are not taken as an objective in the game, they are forgotten and discontinued, let's face it, achievements are not taken with importance and I have an idea to change that.

The idea is simple, to turn those "Achievements" into titles above the name of the player in battle, something like this:

The God of War      <------- Achievement (Buy Magnum M3)
Name_of_The_Player    <---- Name of the player in battle

The goal of this idea is to achieve the most interesting and notable achievements, so that players have a new goal within the game and make it more desirable to have all those achievements unlocked.

The achievements can be equipped and un-equipped for the player's taste.

I recommend putting more achievements if this idea is accepted for the game.

Similar ideas: Titles in the game, Rewards for Achievements

I've seen this implemented in other games. It's a pretty cool idea, and there's a way to monetise it too, since there could be special titles added to the shop for money (as well as being possible to get from containers). This is not the kind of thing I'd be particularly excited about, but the concept is good.

I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with Daily Missions, Weekly Missions and Challenges. Personally, I don't need another challenge just for a title. Just something else to brag about and, for some, another flag that says "Buyer." I don't know, I'm really on the fence about it. Some players are proud to be buyers and wouldn't mind advertising it. I guess it's good for them. It may put undue pressure on non-buyers.

Btw, how come your God of War (Magnum M3) is wearing Thunder?

I think it's a daft idea.

Firstly, if there's anything needed above players on the battle, it's their MU level.

Second, how is this example ie God of War going to work when we have so many achievements done, which one will be used?

Third, we can already see a player's name, why bother with another - useless - title?

About the only thing I would like to see done vis-a-vis Achievements is something to indicate which was the most recent completed.

Every time I see my Achievements level go up, I have to go through the whole list in the vague hope of recognising what's new.

And it's not always successful.

First, as I said in my idea, the titles (achievements) can be chosen to equip (only one) of all the unlocked achievements that each player has

Second, the level of MU was replaced by the GS, and that is something very apart from the idea under discussion.

Third, the titles (achievements) can be seen above the names of the players, however, when you press the "V" key, you will see the modules and the GS of the player and the title will disappear momentarily until you stop pressing the "V" key, and then you will see the title again above the names of the players in battle.

Also, no that's not how you monetise titles, you can monetise it by adding special drops (like paints or weapon skin) in the loot box, and you will unlock the title if you equip that special equipment. You can't just add a title to the shop and call it a day.

Yeah that sounds like a better idea, but selling titles directly is also possible. Depends on what developers choose.

Another topic for you to merge and forget about, Maf

Thanks. Not similar enough to merge into through, so I'll link it in my post.

OK, I'm no longer on the fence. In fact, I walked along this fence for so long and have lost my balance so many times, I have split in half and landed on both sides.

Positive side: For those who want the bragging rights (IE: "I have no life outside of Tanki" " I'm an Old Timer of Tanki" "I'm a big Buyer and proud of it.") whatever the brag shall be.

Negative side: I see no real advantage to it. Personally, I can't read the names anyways, so I know I couldn't read the achievement even if I wanted to. I don't care about names, except if I want to address that person in battle or add to friends list. So, why would I be interested in a person's achievements?

I never looked at my achievements until this suggestion. That's how much I care about them.
