What is the biggest difference between ranks in MM battles that you have seen?

In the first Tanki War I was Captain and battled against Marshals and an occasional Field Marshal. I quickly learned to check the battle roster first. The highest rank I could battle without being constant cannon fodder was Brigadier. Anything higher than that, I quit and went to another battle.

Yeah, I remember that specific rank bracket (Captain to Marshal). That rank bracket is burned into my memory because I would play in many battles where it was very noticeable to see the lowest rank was Captain and the highest was Marshal.

I will start this off. I'm WO4 at this time, and I was playing with Third Lieutenants and a Master Corporal....

What have you seen?

Here's one when my alternate account was at WO5.

sfdugut was 9 ranks above me. Some MM battles have close ranks brackets that range from 3-5 ranks. The more commons ones are the ones where the highest rank is 7-9 ranks above the lowest rank. In some instances, the rank bracket stretches above 9 ranks and goes to 10-11 ranks as seen here:

I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any rank brackets above 11 ranks.

WO2 against lieutenant generals.

Really? What you're saying there is a 13 rank difference. I went against a Major General when my alt account was WO5, as seen in the picture in my earlier post, which is a 9 rank difference. Others have said that the most they've seen are 11 rank difference.

Are you sure you saw that? Because thinking about it, it's disgusting that M1 ranks are playing with M3 ranks.

I feel like, for some ranks, there is a capped limit to the rank bracket. I doubt that a WO2 played with a Lieutenant General. But hey, MM is an unstable thing. I'll look out for 13 rank differences in my battles.

i was in a group with WO5 hoping to get low ranks but instead we were welcomed by field marshals

13 rank gap...

my team lost but even though the whole field was full of M3's, I still came first in my team  :D

Hey guys, sorry for not replying to any comments, those who have gotten to know me might have wondered at it. It seems I forgot to follow the topic. First - wow, I've never seen anything above my first example. That's crazy, and it's another reason MM should go. But, oh well, I won't get into that.

Thanks for the replies, keep them coming :)

*Edit: I just remember I saw a recruit in a battle with Legends on a video (I wasn't in it). They said that they grouped recruits with legends, but it doesn't seem that that's possible anymore, perhaps they implemented rank brackets since then.

The rank bracket is so large now, thus I feel it's a major contributor to all the one-sided battle outcomes in low-mid ranks.

In my opinion, a player of any rank should not be able to play against players who are 3/4 ranks above or below them. If in any case a certain M tier player ends up against a higher M tier tank then the match cannot be considered fair.

An ideal situation in battles is where the majority of players are using equipment of the same level, with only very few players using lower or higher level items. Right now, when you have battles with different types of players, each with a different tier level, you can't expect any harmony.

I agree.

Battle is better off 6 vs 6 with rank-spread of 5 rather than 8 vs 8 if those 4 extra tanks push the rank-spread to 8 or 9.

MM forcing 8 vs 8 when there are few players online is a bad idea.

I think I saw 11 or at least 10 ranks earlier today, from Sergeant Major to Major or Captain. I'm pretty sure it was more than 9.
