What do you regret doing in tanki?

This topic is for those that want to share their regrets in the game and reflect on their mistakes.

Do you have any regrets in this game besides ever playing it?

I have a couple:

In Halloween event of 2015, there was a mission that required 10k exp earned on a specific map and you only had til the next server restart to complete it, the only problem was that the map was only available in DM, and at the time I hated DM. I was helping a friend with her 10k mission, and I regret doing it because not only did I lose 4 to 5 hours out of my day, I also gained 1000 deaths.

The other regret I have is using railgun and hornet as my main combo for the late part of 2015.

Those are my regrets in tanki, what are yours? :)

Buy Support Nanobots for my Isida on another account. It's a non-buyers account and I couldn't really afford it, but I thought it would be a big advantage for healing my teammates. After using it in battle several times, I realized It was useless against enemy tanks if the one I was healing died. After respawning in the face of the enemy, my damage points told me all I was doing was blowing hot air at them with single and low double digits. Now I'm stuck with it.

Saving up for M1's (and actually buying them) even thought I was a Third Lieutenant.

Did that even at Major on one of my older accounts. It was a Tanker's Day sale 3 or 4 years ago and I had bought M1 Twins and M1 Ricochet and had a blast with friends that were from my country. I remember the colour of M1 Ricochet's bullets. It looked so refreshing and made me thirsty because it reminded me of the colour of one of my favourite things to drink.

On one of my other accounts, I was WO(?) looking for a better way of playing the game, upgrading, what to buy..what not to buy.

This was one player's suggestion: Don't MU M0s. Don't spend any crystals, save every one. When you have enough crystals, buy the M1. Don't MU the M1, save all your crystals. When you have enough, buy M2 then start MUing.

I started a new account and did as he suggested. I save all my crystals, didn't even buy supplies. It worked at first, but as I ranked up I found myself trying to battle M1s with Recruit equipment. Crystals were hard earned, back then...no missions or challenges. What you earned in battle is all you had. I was consistently ending up in the last 2 places on the Leaderboard and getting less than 100 crystals per battle, usually around 50. By the time I had enough crystals saved up to buy an M1, I was already locked out and had to buy M2.

I regret taking that advice.

--  Buying the plasma torch alt. at full price.

--  Spending tens of thousands of crystals on paints just for fun, when I could have saved up for a striker module instead (striker is my nemesis in this game).

--  Playing so many parkour battles which have brought down my K/D to a point of no return.

--  Taking the game too seriously several times. It's simply just a bunch of teens/children having fun and bragging about their stuff, why did I let some players get on my nerves before is beyond me.

What I don't regret doing was getting mammoth and twins m3, making some wonderful friends (on the game and the forum), and starting to find my own ways of enjoying the game even though I dislike many updates.

And not MUing early enough.

Exactly this. I chose to get more hulls, turrets and paints first. Goals from before MUs existed and I suppose I was a bit slow to adjust those goals... By the time I had most of them and could start MUing, micro-upgrades were made much more expensive. Then by the time I had a decent amount of MUs on my favorite gear, micro-upgrades were reduced in price again.

I was similar, but different.

All my crystals went on paints and I only bought maybe 3 turrets and 3 hulls, most of them as kits.

Then ranked up and eventually got locked out of buying the others as they now have to be bought as M3s at full price.

On my first account, I saw the M0s of all the hulls and turrets were fairly cheap. I bought every one. Then I fell into the whirlpool trap of trying to MU all of them. I fell so deep into this trap I lost track of which way was up. I have a few accounts, most of them were experiments, but I still play at least one battle with them occasionally thinking some day I may do something with them. When I play my original account, I'm faced with my foolishness.

I didn't know that different modifications existed. :p I bought whatever I wanted without knowing that I actually needed M2s. Got 2 M2 turrets and no M2 hulls.

Not buying back in 2012/13 when the game was popular.

Over the years I have got almost every hull and turret at least half way to M4 but it would have been wiser to spend a bit of cash and enjoy the game in its heyday.

PS: It wasn't a ban but a time counter before texting

Pretending to be someone else (presumably) and initiating a romantic Tanki relationship with another tanker (I know the username but I'm not sure if saying it is prohibited). It was actually kind of fun and interesting and the thrill of having it on the internet (especially in a game) was definitely there.

I wouldn't've cared if it was a boy; I wouldn't have minded anyway.

I regret it because I'm uncertain about what happened to him/her all these years. We ranked together twice on two occasions. He/She's been the same rank all these years. He/She's even wearing the same combo they used to fight me in a Winter mode Hill DM PRO battle. I remember those days.
