April Challenge — Thunder Prime Skin

In the last 2 challenges, there was always an easy shot effect for non-buyers. Once at tier 1, once at tier 4. Now there are no shot effects in silver tier. I hoped to finally get a Rail shot effect but NOPE.

 

By the way, I got a nice 35% garage discount and I bought M2 Viking, probably going to use it with Freeze.

 I'm going off on a limb here but I think they decreased the rewards because of how much days of premium non-buyers or casuals may get during the April Fools' Celebrations' gold boxes. I got 3 days of premium from one this morning but I don't see enough motivation to really go through this challenge a relaxed person. 

The Congo Spider is right, Tanki might be doing this because they were afraid of non-buyers who don't normally do challenges getting days of premium and blazing through them while tanki wouldn't earn anything (because the golds give away free premium so you don't have to buy it with real money). If tanki brings the challenge back to what it was like before will be proof that they did this only so people can't get a lot of free stuff.

That makes the Skins more valuable because fewer players will want to complete the challenge unless they want the Skin, which is a cosmetic.

 

The big issue for non buyers is the hard to complete missions, and not the challenges or their rewards.

Challenges have become the worst update in tanki's history, they make battles more unbalanced than ever before. People are using the most OP drones or alterations they can get just to get stars faster which is an exploit. In team battles they're spawn killing/ spawn camping the weaker team, which is an exploit. They're also using groups to enter battles with the most effective combos they can find, which is an exploit.

 

Besides, these challenges only bring back overachievers as I call them temporarily and then they go back into hiding leaving the game a wreck.

 

If you really want to grow your player base, you must first remove challenges.

It's not exactly the rewards from Challenges that are a problem - well in a way they are...  The buyers will get higher in the tiers and also get the other (higher) level of rewards - making the income gap even larger.

 

But it's the effect on gameplay.  Do you not honestly not see a difference in how battles are fought now as players often struggle to get more stars?

The game-play is more selfish and less team-based.  The team-based aspect has been in decline for some time - but Challenges just makes it so much worse.

I am not sure if it was suggested here, but if the development will continue to cut the prizes for silver tier at least do not make the players work through 4 empty steps and award the top prize on the 46th step. I believe this will be at least a bit more fair now that some rewards have been moved to the gold tier which requires real money investment.

My big issue is the cheaters that try to not rank up at all while catching golds and even doing missions. Look at the Golds ranking page and see that many low ranks have caught many golds while earning very little EXP, they end up with even better garage than many buyers, I think. They aren't worried about Challenges for a reason.

How do I know how many stars I need to complete a specific tier? like how many stars till tier 40?

I asked them and they said they would have it up by yesterday night. It still isn't here. Maybe they had a setback or something.

100% true and its even worse with the golds dropping now . I can understand it a bit , as going for the challenge and the gold , then this result only counts , but you ruin the gameplay doing that . Others who do want to play the game , and go for a flag need the support of their teammates to bring it home ( and its not funny for them when under fire  being killed and seeing 2 teammates not saving that flag but just doing their own thing ) .

i agree with @muffingirl362 !

 

Tanki keep pushing the free players into the corner hoping that someday we will buy too, but what tanki didn't know is that we "CAN'T" buy no matter what !!

 

i live in the THIRD world for god sake, my father work for +12 hours a day earning only 20$ a day, if i asked him to pay for my battle pass he will kick me out of the house, he barely pay for my internet !!!  :(

 

This is why i don't play anymore despite my love for this game.

ALEX22THEBEST completed the Challenge. If you check his profile he gained about 87k EXP, that amount of EXP is close to the amount needed to complete the Rank of Brigadier. For a new player 87k EXP would mean reaching WO2. I think that's too much for nonbuyers, that aren't Legends, that want to have a competitive Garage, because they are getting very few mission rewards which don't compensate the rewards from a Challenge.

 

Yes, team battles played as TDM is not good, but that can be fixed by encouraging players to fight for the team, like rewarding less for kills and more for team achievements.

I also said that to complete Brigadier you need 86k EXP so even at mid-high ranks playing Challenges does make you rank up faster.

 

Your complaint about "TDM" battles is valid, I'm just talking about other aspects.

Be reasonable , some players live in not the richest places in the world . Their house is more basic then you can imagine but they managed to buy a simple computer , and some internet . Those players are now a quite big community also , since the game requires low computer demands . And yes i do know what im talking about since i live for part of the year i such places . No reason to put those players down , just because they are born there and they manage to get some improvement in living quality and being able to play a internet game . Yes for them 5 or 10$ is a lot of money . They read and respond to the forum , just like everybody else , since they do like the game , and they got every right to do so .
