actually i really like this update, IF IT WAS LEGIT, getting free characters a month, 20000 is a lot... but bruh...  just got trolled by Tanki Online...  <_<

Don't think you can sink any lower than this Tanki; the greed of the company has reached a whole different level this time. Limiting players to 20 000 characters is actually an excellent idea. But it should STOP there. Once those 20 000 characters are expended the player will be effectively mute.

 

Instead of doing the right thing once again you have seen this as an opportunity to make money. I am shocked by this. This is absolutely disgraceful.

 

What happens if the players that insult and use profanities the most have deep pockets, did you consider this?

 

Total wasters.

You guys got me pretty good.  I was like, "OMG, how can they possibly figure out any more ways to squeeze a penny out of the player base...geez, the gaul of these *&&^$(!!()# bozos!" 

 

Then, as I started to write a typical ByeByeBye chastisement, I remembered it was 4/1 and decided to tone my post down to reflect the possibility of a prank...at least I was hoping it was a prank. 

 

After I made my post saying this had to be an April Fools joke, I was curious as to how much Tanki was going to charge for the extra characters if it wasn't a joke.   I clicked the link.  Bang...perfect execution.  I was relieved...and then impressed with the quality of the joke.  Well done guys, Tanki may have many objectionable traits, but at least they have a good sense of humor.  :)   ...And thanks for the weekly, that was a very nice touch...very reminiscent of the benevolent old days of Tanki before all the money grab updates of the last couple of years.

To be honest some of my colleagues were a bit skeptical about the idea. They were concerned that the backlash would be too big and that we wouldn't be able to calm down the community. In fact, had already suggested a similar joke last year but it wasn't carried out.

 

But I knew that if we executed this well, you guys would get the joke and have fun with it, because in the end, you've got a good sense of humor.

 

Once again, I'm glad you got a chuckle out of this. Have fun with the rest of the April Fool's activities!  :)

Is Tanki going soft...humble...maybe even considerate?  The announcement in the news pane of everyone's lobby is very nice, warm, and reminiscent of the old "family and friends" Tanki as opposed to the "in your face" tortured rationalization and mondo spin tactics of the Neo-Tanki regime (It's OUR game and we'll do with it what we wish, if you don't like it...quit, we couldn't care less).

 

I sure hope this is a trend. :)

Please implement this idea... instead of Overdrives.

 

Make it 10000 characters free then sell bundles for buyers with different font and color options. Call it Chat Pass.

 

There should be an option to translate some words to other languages, for example: you click enter then a symbol to tell the system to translate the following word, could be like this: /attack and the system tranlates that word to other languages depending on the other user settings. /attack could become /attaccare; /defend /flag could become /difendere /bandiera...

 

Emoticons available in Parkour and Private modes for those that have Chat Pass.
