Declined Confirmation upon pressing 6 for dropping goldbox

Hi,

This suggestion comes after such a ordeal happens with me today:
I had received a goldbox from a daily mission today and during the heat of battle, offlate I noticed that my goldbox is missing somehow, which is probably because of me stupidly pressing the hotkey by mistake.

Anyways the suggestion is about adding a confirmation dialog when you press the hotkey for dropping goldbox, if you click "Yes", it will drop the goldbox, otherwise the "No" would close the dialog and you can continue your gameplay. I believe this can be added efficiently and more convenient if we have some faith in developers

You are able to customise the gold box drop key in the settings, under "controls". Change it to a key that's not close to any other key you use for controls. I have mine set to "+" and I never accidentally drop the gold supplies.

Mine switches back to 6, this should be implemented.

Just don't put any key for the gold box then. I leave mine like that whenever I don't want to drop any gold boxes. I put it to 6 when I want to drop it. 

 

 

Click the space, backspace, and then just close it. I don't experience the problem where it shifts back to 6  every server restart.

No, if it switches back, then it's a bug that needs to be fixed. But to be honest, I never had it switch back for me unless I switch to a different browser or use a new device.

It goes back to 6 always, I've tried making it + and also nothing, but it still goes back. Bug? What does that matter, except I can't do anything about it? Devs aren't gonna fix it...

Nope, never had that problem, either. I have mine set at 0 and it stays there.

You know what you could do, just make the confirmation another press on the same key which launches your gold boxes already.  Hitting any other key would abort, abort....

I have it at nr 9 which is higher on the numpad and it never changes back .

That would be bad, because if you were running away with a flag, and wanted to drop a gold as a distraction, it would get cancelled by your driving.

One time I deleted the number 6 in the customizing table to leave it blank, but then when I clicked delete I dropped a Gold.

 

I don't know if it still does that, but the delete key should not drop Golds.

Shrug, the other option is to have confirmation required yes/no on the options page.... and then use the same key twice if its set to yes.  They'll say thats to much work though.

Or maybe the default should be a different key, for example 8.

 

I know that we can change it in settings, but the issue is that the system doesn't remember the settings, so for example you go to an internet caffe, you'd have to go to settings first instead of just start playing.

The system does remember the settings. If it didn't then everyone would have the same problem. Mine is set at 0 and has never moved. However, if I go to another account that hasn't been changed, then it's at the default 6 until I physically change it. When I go back to that account, the change is still there.

If changing the default key (or completely removing it) resets in your case, the option of "enable Gold Box confirmation" in the settings would also be reset.

same thing happened to me today

i accidentally dropped 2 golds while trying to activate mines
i remember setting my key to 0 but the next day my key was automatically set back to 6?!

Okay, I'm not a computer Geek, just someone who is trying to learn this stuff on my own. I pick brains and hope I get right info. In this case, I didn't.
