This hull will also be harder for Shaft to hit from the side. It's not to say it's a light hull, it's a heavy hull. Heavy hulls need to be extinguished as fast as possible with Shaft and a floating one that is off the ground AND has thin dimensions is a hard target for a Shaft.

Make Viking float too, very little difference there, and then make a square Hornet that floats. One floaty per category.

You're right, it's not a good idea with the current planned overdrives.

 

But the idea of making the current Overdrive standard, and making the others as Hull Alterations (one for each Hull as planned) is a very good idea.

 

Everyone, please support this idea.

I'd prefer to have either the standard overdrive for every hull with the new ones as a secondary effect or mapped to a different key, as in the choice of standard or new when it charges. Would have to add another new overdrive for Dictator.

 

Really not looking forward to the new ones, still more concerned about what I'd lose than gain (with Hunter), even though being able to nerf the druggers might be fun.

Ares would be dope too, but Kratos all the way baby. Oh, and, whenever you activate its OD it would say "boy!", that'd be crazy awesome.

Yeah, I spent two whole minutes waiting for an opportunity to mess with someone using their Overdrive. In the last 20 seconds, I saw a Mammoth who just activated its Overdrive. I used my Overdrive and it didn't work on him and he ended up killing me. I even saw the electricity bolt jump to him because my Freeze was looking at a player on the right of me while the Mammoth was more on the left of me, it was in clear vision.

ISN'T IT CLEAR ALREADY!? using Ares will be downright stupid because there already is a hull called "titan" and it is a race of gods in greek mythology. so it doesn't make sense to name one hull after a race of gods and another directly after a god in the same mythology. that'd be like... germany, who names tanks after felidae animals e.g. panther, leopard, tiger, lion etc... and rat and mouse were for railway guns because they are in a different category and suddenly they name a tank Felidae or panthera

Now we can use the name of the other Gods that are not considered to be Titans, or we can use the name of a creature from the mythology instead.

Edit: Since it can move sideways lets call it after a crab, is there some giant Crab god somewhere in ancient mythology?

mars is a planet named after the roman god of war. just like venus, uranus, jupiter and saturn

 

the pattern i noticed is that light hulls are named after vespidae, medium hulls are named after professions and heavy hulls are named after stuff that don't exist

I think when many hear the name Mars, they only think of the planet Mars and not of the god. And I think many don't know what Ares means.

 

Satan/Lucifer is a figure of some current religions and many believe it exists. I don't think we should use that.

you know, when i think of "magnum" i think of the ice cream? and I'm sure it's the same for almost everyone else, but that didn't stop them from giving the name to that turret

you know that there are greeks who still believe in ares? they feel that they are a nation occupied by christians
