Why you should accept the fact that this game is dead and move on

1)This game is dead! It's pay 2 win,

2)the nev overdrives made even the best PC's lagging, new XT itemds and Legacy skins destroyed the game.

3)Without paying you can't reach anything!

4)The matchmaking isn't playable without supplies and is way to unbalanced.

The support of the game is miserable! All in all: THIS GAME IS DEAD! I won't touch it anymore also my friends.

1) I personally think this is the most f2p tanki has ever been. There is an unfairness in the way kits from the shop are handled, but that's no longer a problem at your rank. You get plenty crystals and with weekly containers you get enough drugs.

2) My pc is literally a potato, that can barely run diablo 3 at lowest settings at 30 fps, and I run 60 fps on tanki. And how do skins, which do absolutely nothing to gameplay, ruin a game? If anything they give income to the devs without screwing the balance.

3) No need to pay anything, you just have to be smart and not buy a thousand m2s when you could have a pair of m3s and good modules for defense.

4) Missions give you so many supplies, I can't even run out. I once told myself "If I ever drop below 500 supplies, I'll stop using them." this was nearly 3 months ago, and I now have 3000+ of each using them almost all the time. Now the fact that matchmaker is unable to create balanced teams, I'll give it to you.

And before you go "you're too low rank, you haven't seen old tanki" I started back in 2010-2011, and this is not my first account.

I don't mean to be offensive to you, but helpers and developers aren't trying to "pretend that the game is perfectly fine". It's just that sometimes players fail to look at things as a whole. Additionally, it is IMPOSSIBLE to say if Tanki is dead, dying or healthy. This is because the number of paying players is what matters most, not the number of players. Having a large number of players with very few buyers would make a game seem healthy when it actually is not. The overdrives can be fun to play with and skins are purely cosmetic, so I don't see how skins ruin gameplay. You don't have to pay to win. Essentially, paying money allows you to acquire better items and things faster than a non-buyer. It is harder to play as a non-buyer, but it just slows you down. For example, instead of buying crystals and using them on Twins M3, a non-buyer will wait a few months and then get Twins M3. Almost everything that can make a difference can be bought without money, even if slowly. If Tanki were to charge real money for buying M2's and M3's and only real money, then Tanki would be a Pay to Win Game. Sure there are some bad blowout matches you get caught in, and that I do understand but it isn't all that bad.

1) If you have enough drugs and are willing to grind in one sided blowout MM battles that is.

2) With skins you have no idea what M level their turret or hull is.

3) To be fair he has m3 freeze/wasp, which is a playstyle that maps in MM have eliminated.

4) You probably got lucky with containers giving you drug kits. <_<

Often I am either the backbone of my team's defense or I just lead the match... I bought a battle pass once.

You can just look at their GS for that.

And, "lucky" I'd rather get crystals than supplies.

2) With skins you have no idea what M level their turret or hull is.

That used to be a problem. But now, it isn't since GS gives you a better understanding of your enemies' equipment now than before the update and before that.

Here's a quick key to figuring out the opponent's equipment:

2,200 GS - M1 equipment

4,500 GS - M2 equipment and M1 modules

6,900 GS - M3 equipment and M2 modules

9,000 GS - M4 equipment and M4 Modules

All of those figures include having 300 of all supplies.

As you can see, it may be hard if the player's GS lies within those ranges but those are the extreme ones that give the most information.

1) why would someone even want to grind in MM? Challenges are just a waste of time when you can just get lucky from containers.

2) my m3 thunder is 10\20 so I deal about an average of 827.5 points of damage per hit (1655 when using Double damage) I can at least tell if a light hull is m3 or lower. If I kill an unprotected light hull using Double damage easily, then it's probably an m2 at best. But if it survives, then it's at least an m3.

3) then that's his fault for not choosing wisely.

4) more like he was smart in stopping when he finished his missions and either moved to pro battles with supplies turned off, or was done playing for the day.

3) Are you kidding?  M3 freeze-wasps are everywhere.  Constanly dropping bombs and getting kills.

I see them on Archipaleggo even in DM.  Pop DA (or trooper) get close, freeze target(s) drop bomb and run.

While Tanki's golden age /may/ have passed ,(I definitely agree that this game was better in the past, but still good today.) it was just that, a golden age. It is not /dead/, there are still a lot of players, whether MM or PRO battles.

I want to go over some examples of "dead" games.

First example is diep.io. This is one of those .io games that got Uber popular from gaming channels back in 2016 or so, and its popularity has since petered out, despite still attracting players to this day. diep.io community hubs, like /r/diepio, constantly say "UGGHHHHH DIEP IS DEAD", but it still pulls in a few thousand players at one time. This is deader than Tanki, but it's not dead because it still has dedicated players, like Tanki.

Mario Kart Wii is my second example. I played this heavily from 2009-2013, it was the other game I played that wasn't Tanki Online. When Mario Kart 7, 8, and 8 Deluxe came, it wasn't a good sign for the game and it's community. When Nintendo killed the Nintendo WFC system, everyone thought it was a death sentence for the game. But, some ingenious people created Wiimmfi, basically Nintendo WFC back from the dead. Now, 12 years after the game's release, there are still online players and a thriving community.

Now, I'm not saying drastic measures have to be done to Tanki like was done to Mario Kart Wii, but what I'm saying is that no game is truly dead. There will always be people playing Tanki, and there is also GTanks if you want to play a remake of Tanki in its very early form.

Just to toss another log on the fire. I have jumped into 7 battles in a row and each of them was an unmitigated dumpster fire. ZERO balance, just one team steamrolling the other. Of all the things that is causing people to quit this game, the total lack of competitiveness is one. It creates no interest or desire to log on again. I know I play a lot less.

8 battles now.

The funny thing is that so many of the players dont even get it. When you have one team full of legends and the other a mixed bag that is being curb stomped and raped all they say is "if you dont like it then leave". Then those same jackoffs complain when the number of accounts is so low. There is so little desire for competitive matches it is insane.

Seriously, I got nothing. I have tried to give this a go, but holy f^&k this game is beyond terrible now. I am going to take a break and go get water boarded so that I can relax after enduring this puss filled blister on my ass that is Tankionline.

And that's revolving around one thing: the BRS.

The BRS?

Is it seriously that bad?

yeah, it really is. I started playing years back with my son. He stopped playing as well for a while because of computer problems. Now that I have tried it again I have recommended he not start playing again because it is so frustrating. He will have more fun on his Xbox anyway. The funny thing is that he used to spend a ton of money on this game. Sucks for the devs...

Battle ruining system otherwise known as "challenges".

That makes sense. Several times today I would have a flag and be returning to base with it and there would be no support from anyone on my team. They would just let me be destroyed and either swoop in to take the flag or let it be returned so that they could just get more kills. I havent been able to put my finger on it, but the WAY people are playing has changed so much. It seems like there was a lot of teamwork that people engaged in that is totally missing now.

Unless you know the players in your match you are just left to fend for yourself.

Ok, I've been a victim of this too many times to not bring it up.

It makes sense to me that people would wait until an ally dies to take the flag and cap to get the points or push them into enemy fire for them to die and then capture it. But what doesn't make sense, is when people see me coming to the capture point, and freaking push me away from getting to it so they can get guaranteed get the 15 score, like what the heck?

Just today, I spawned in a Yorkshire CP where an ally Refrigerator Kit player was about 20% done with capturing the point. I went over to capture it faster. He saw me, looked at me and he pushed me away from the point. I understand doing something like this in CTF but CP? Really?

This just reinforces my though that Challenges bring out this kind of selfish behaviour in players. This is honestly a new low.

Sorry, but I'm going down the slippery slope here: What next? People pushing allies away in TDM just so they wouldn't take your kills, oh wait, I've had that happen to me many times before.

Up to 15 matches of pure garbage now. 1 I was on the "winning" side of. Zero balance or competition.

And this is how MM is supposed to work as it balances your wins and losses to increase your playtime and generate more profit.

Which is why I play Pro-battles more and more - MM is pure garbage the way they have implemented it.

Makes me want to keep starting alt accounts so I can beat up on noobs and they will quit.  Put the nail in TO coffin.

I'm sorry, I can no longer support Tanki as I used to. I haven't told anyone about this game is a few years, because I can't tout a game that I no longer believe in.

There was a game I played for several years. About 10 years ago, the Devs came out with several massive updates, which didn't sit well with the vast majority of the players. Nearly half of the players quit and most of them were paying members. I was one of them. Two weeks ago, I went back to the game to see how it has turned out. I read in the forums that after the massive update, the Devs realized they made a terrible mistake. Three times, deadlines were not met because things were gelling. The third deadline, they decided to release the updates, even though it still wasn't quite right. They made a public forum announcement, apologizing to the the players for their ineptness. They took out what didn't work and applied new things that did work, or they brought back some of the old and integrated into the new. On top of that, they have implemented the Old School game just as it was "back then." You have a choice of playing either one.

Something else they implemented is the player polls. Right now, there are some new features the Devs are brainstorming about. They explained in great detail what these features are and added a poll for players to vote on which features they want and don't want. They did the same thing when the game started going down the drain and made changes accordingly. Right now, they added a new feature into the game to let the players try it out. If they don't like it, then it will be taken out of the game.

Because of the Devs honesty, integrity, willingness to admit they made a mistake and are willing to work with the players, instead of pushing updates on them, I rejoined the game Community and even took out a membership. I played it for two weeks before making that decision. Tanki Devs lack a lot of good qualities. Their attitude is: "Take what we give you and be happy you got it".  "Bring back the old? Can't do it, it's been destroyed." "We don't make mistakes, so why should we admit to them?" "Apologies? For what? For making a great game even greater?"

I can't afford to support two games, so guess what Tanki? You lose. You have lost my revenue.

IF I'm still alive and kicking and IF I'm still interested in gaming and IF you have left an impression on me, then MAYBE I'll be back in 10 years to see how you are doing.

Another one down; Another one gone; Another one bites the dust.
