So no buff in the Overdrive recharge speed was given to Mammoth then? Alright, that explains everything.

It is a nerf.

Before is was +31% charge per minute with 10 seconds activity.

Now it is +42% charge per minutes with 5 seconds activity.

To be equivalent the new charge should have been double like this: +62% charge per minute. Or the timing should have been longer.

Hmm, they worded it pretty ambiguously then. Thanks for the clarification. Although it took 2 minutes and 5 seconds to charge from 0 - 100% when it was first implemented and now takes 2 minutes and 25 seconds to do that yet it feels like a faster recharge. Something doesn't seem right.

Hey, uhhh, Viking? I'm not sure if it's possible for you to do it in the near future but can you change some of the % charge given for particular actions?

Wasp and Dictator:

Receive 10% charge for a kill while the others receive 8%

Receive 5% charge for an assist while the others receive 4%

Receive 50% charge for capturing a CTF flag while the others receive 40%.

Receive 30% charge for capturing an ASL flag while the others receive 24%.

I didn't look too closely at neutralising a capture point (it looked like 6 or 7%) but capturing the point gives 10% charge to them while the others receive 8%.

So from what I'm seeing, Wasp and Dictator receive 20% more charge for accomplishing external tasks than the others do. It would be beneficial to include that.

I need to do some more testing with Viking because I swore I received 7% charge for a kill and not 8%.

Hey, thanks for doing this and sharing, this is really useful.

The current value for charging are the one from before the addition of the new OD. It looks like the value have double since. Please, keep reporting, I will update the article with your data and change the format.

I would not separate the value hulls as it is too many details (unless there is a clear difference), value that can change at any time without us noticing. I prefer that reader remember the big picture: Flag CTF / Rugby ball > Flag ASL > kill / CP capture > kill assist.

Alright. If you're not going to distinguish between them, then it's best to use the ones that are for the most hulls:

8% for a kill.

4% for neutralising a CP point. (not confirmed)

8% for a CP capture.

40% for a CTF capture.

24% for an ASL capture.

obviously, charging gets slowed down because you spend more time respawning than being in the battlefield... and the rate of getting killed is never constant so it'd be impossible to make a chart for when you're constantly getting killed. you can always calculate yourself by simply counting only the times you're in the battle and stop your timer when you die and only start again after you've spawned again.

If your comment was just to complain about bad game balance then go to complaint book. but of course if you couldn't figure this out yourself cause you're another one of those less evolved minds then you're welcome.

Bad form to add this to your post.  Unnecessary.

Hunter's OD is awesome with the right turret. With close range, it's often not really needed, as you can fight fire with fire, but long range, where you may be attacked just after you shoot and suffer a long reload, that's where it shines. OD them, pop a DD, and one-shot them.

Ha ha, I was not joking, but unfortunately my space key is hard to press so sometimes I don't notice it. However, I would assume someone who knows English would have read this. This is a business - there has to be one person who hasn't read the article! And if anyone didn't catch that, I'm wondering what they're doing editing a news piece that is going public...

*Edit: sometimes I just scan my posts without really reading them.

I find close range (like freeze) actually better with Hunter, as you want to be close. You will use it more often.

Sure shaft can rely on it for the few times they are ambushed while camping.  But it does nothing for Shaft most of the time, and certainly does not help in sniping kills.

Worst is Vulcan.  use the Hunter OD, then, by the time your barrel has spun-up the target is moving again, and is free to use it's own OD.

At best, Hunter OD allows the Vulcan to get a head-start as it flees...

Can you please change the the circle tank icon on hornets overdrive? Use arrows above tanks as indicators instead, its quite hard to aim at opponents tank when they are covered in circles , i still want to see the tank even in great ranges, and try if can shoot at them as long as there is a small opening to where they are hiding , the circular icon made it as cover for them instead, so please use arrows above the tank to indicate their position.

The Mobile version and the new HTML5 version have the outlines of enemy tanks colored in yellow. Personally I find this more useful than a simple circle.

See how the Hornet overdrive yellow outline looks like on the new HTML5. More elegant and more useful than the green circle of the Flash.

The yellow outline is also available on Mobile (see below with standard quality) and show even on fully visible tank.

The % seemed to have changed since, I got this week the following:

7-8% for returning flag
38-40% for capping in CTF
10-12% for capturing CP
35-37% for capping in ASL

Do you have noticed these changes too?
I am looking for the values for:
* Rugby Balls core and the assist.
* kill the jug and assist
* assist flag

I also had that for default charge:
Wasp:         100 seconds (1:40)
Hornet:       115 seconds (1:55)
Hunter:       115 seconds (1:55)
Dictator:      145 seconds (2:25)
Mammoth:  145 seconds (2:25)
Titan:          168 seconds (2:48)
Viking:        255 seconds (4:15)
They might have change too.

These are correct, although I kept getting closer to 260 seconds for Viking.

What hulls are you using to record this? Remember, Wasp, Dictator and mammoth receive 20% more charge for those actions than Hornet, Hunter, Viking and Titan.

I get 10% for returning the flag as Dictator, 50% for capturing a CTF flag and scoring a touchdown, and around 35% for capturing an ASL flag. I think I get 7-8% for neutralising a point and 10% for capturing it.

I haven't looked too in-depth about flag and touchdown assists, but I think I saw that I got 20% for that as Dictator.

Play as Wasp, Dictator or Mammoth, and whatever % charge you get for specific actions, multiply it by 80% to get what the other 4 hulls would receive for that action.

If Viking has such a slow recharge for OD, why do I see so many players using it?

Are they all playing with friends and know there will be Dictator(s) to help them charge faster?

It's not like the hull (sans OD) is amazing or anything...

Viking was one of the most popular hulls before ODs so coupled with the fact that most players will recharge much quicker with kills etc most probably won't change their hull choice. Not to mention most players aren't aware of recharge times.

I think if you're playing with Viking, you'd be aware of enemy Hunters and Wasps using more Overdrives than yourself...in consecutive battles...day in day out.

That's what I'd like to know too. As it was popular before, maybe they got used to the slipperiness and lightweight gameplay. I'm trying Viking on another account and I don't really mind the slow recharge as if I get 10 kills and a minute pases, I'll have my Overdrive ready. Which seems easy enough with Gauss. First few battles with it weren't so bad when facing enemies, but I felt that ragdoll feeling in the latter battles. I also have another issue with enemy Vikings which I'll post later.

I used to go head on into battle with Viking which resulted me in being ragdolled all over the place all the time.

Now whenever I use Viking, I either camp or take the path with the least resistance, which saw me being knocked around much less.

Figure updated to reflect changes. Dictator OD added and Team Juggernaut. Keep in mind that values provided are not officials (except for Energy supplies, Dictator's OD and Driver Drone.

As a Viking player, Dictators are my new best friends. :)

Guide updated with Mammoth and Wasp Overdrive update (till the next tweak).

I really hope that I'm not being pedantic here. Some of the numbers are slightly wrong but are generally in the right direction.

No problem to disagree on some values that keeps changing and follow unknown hidden rules.
