Marcus added it mostly for himself. He uses it a lot in the news section to acknowledge that he saw and read a post, but doesn't have the time to write up a proper response. This gives users some indication that their feedback is being collected.

You can use it for the same purpose too — if someone responds to your comment/question but you have nothing to reply with, you can just leave that reaction instead of leaving some useless reply.

It also kinda works as a surprised/concerned reaction ?

Separate the child players from the adult players. Provide possibility during first registration, and additionally to existing players, a button to put their date of birth. Like with match making, separate the above 18 years of age players from below 18. Than at least the adults can have a chance of a meaningful game. The 9 to 13 year olds are the worst brats that spoil the game (except the devs over the last three years...).

Why? It is fun to play with kids. Did a kid bullied you?

1) How do you propose we enforce the rule? I'm sure you realise that most children, when a website asks them if they're over 18, will always say yes. And before you suggest anything like it — asking for proof of age is not an option.

2) How can you be sure that the players that are ruining the game for you are children?

3) Over the years I've met plenty of immature and rude adults that act like toddlers. On the other hand, I also met well behaved and polite children.

4) Define "meaningful game" and "spoiling the game". If you mean high levels of skill and cooperation, then separating by age will have no effect on that. If you mean behaviour in chat, then the right thing to suggest is an option to block/ignore players, not segregation by age.

Regardless, there is no way MM is getting split, since any kind of division will make the matchmaker twice less efficient (meaning wider rank brackets and/or longer waiting times).

You're very daring to suggest this idea?

Maf, you are probably right in all what you write. In that case the best thing to do is to stop catering to kids, make the game difficult, more challenging. You know, like 5 years ago. Make money of adverts in the game - like place then on those annoying billboards that have no real purpose.

You wronged too much in the way you trying to reach your idea... yes the game become more easy, less challenging. Skills now didn't do that much in MM, Ares compensate the "less skills" of not turning the turret

Btw, I very respect tanki that I see it's very respected game, no ads, even in the weekly V-log you won't see any ad... I consider the games who depend on player's money, more respected and powerful than the games whose depends in Ads 100%... As the game who have a good content and brave of itself, would make just a payment methods, but a lot of games knew that their game is horrible and no one would pay any dollar on it, so they throw on us hundreds of ads. (like most mobile games nowadays)

This game is made for children!

If you want more challenges and strategies and stuff, I'm sure there are games out there that have difficult mechanics and tough-to-master controls.

But Tanki isn't really meant to be so difficult.

First I remember hardly the players in the game "2012" and those days were in 17 years and some of them passes the 20th... I was something less in age in that time.

We don't want the game to become harder, but we want the game to back to what it was.. nowadays it's extremely easy (less depending on skills), so only your equipment is the thing who affect.. I have many many examples of how the game become more easily but in example I will give you two, (ODs and Ares "with mouse controls").

I feel shy to give you "Confused?", while you gave me a like.. so I will choose a neutral reaction?

By children I mean everyone under 18. Mostly teenagers.

Yeah, adults play the game too, but they aren't the target audience. Having a mobile version of the game further shows this.

Lol, I take out the meaning of the Hmm reaction exactly how it's supposed to mean. That is, that you find it intriguing or interesting, but don't agree with it or like it. I never feel bad, don't worry. Depending on the context, however, I might feel that someone is genuinely confused. In that case I immediately try and explain my point.

I started the game when I'm some children, I was accustomed with it, I was able to turn my turret... Also I think most video creators aren't that children, more than "13"..

You mean everyone under 18 is children? OMG, you really?!, 18th if he married will came with children and you consider it as children?, I know here many people in the forums less than 18, moderators, content creators, etc... . ok let's assume we will consider 18 as children, do you think the players who writing on Amateur Writing, or creating a hardwork videos, do you think them will be accustomed with this easyness in the game?

Lol, "Hmm" is still "Confused", I think player's mindset wont change and consider it as what you describe "intriguing or interesting"... even after the years, cuz it's still the only reaction you can express your anger..

Btw, It's nice that you explain your point to who confused. Mostly I just get horrible confused, I hope if they reply to me to describe my point or something, btw I gave it also so ==

Well, legally anyone under 18 is a child or minor in most countries.

Once you turn 18, you're an adult...

Don't take the meaning of children as small, immature kids... They also play the game, but by saying "children" I also refer to teenagers.

In case you are confused about my posts, don't hesitate to quote/tag me. I'll try and explain ASAP.

Yes, I know this is just an official meaning of children that under 18, legally.

But, in real life, 17-14 passed the children's period.., as when you watch ?video in youtube

btw, either this or not, you argued with me about 17.. though 17 is lesser than 18 with one year "no difference"

I'm 24 and I barely consider myself an adult. In fact, I bet some of the older folks that meet me still see me as a kid. But thenI see how most 14-17 year olds behave, I consider them to be children. No offense if you're in that age range ?

Obviously there are exceptions on both ends of the spectrum, but the whole point of what we're saying here is that Tanki's target audience is children, because they are the ones who have the most free time and have the highest chance of spending money. Believe it or not, but devs implied that the total income from kids spending $5 of their pocket money every month is actually greater than those rich adults that throw thousands into the game on a regular basis.

We should add aeroplanes to tanki online! As seen with hoppers (Developers actually named it that way!) they bring a nice new touch to a tank battle. See, in 2013 believe it or not there were already hoppers in the game. They were seen as cheaters that time, and they should all be unbanned now and given free hoppers for engineering such a great tank! No one can hit them, they dominated CTF in the old day, such as today!

Also we should make it that with 999,99€ worth of tankcoins you could get immunity from all guns! Yes, because this game is pay to win, it only makes sense that you can cheat in tanki, but only if you pay enough to do so! Then it's not magically cheating!

Also Infantry, satellite power ups, killstreaks, more battle pass tiers, battle royale for 100 tanks might be a good idea. Just something that doesn't have a place in a tank game overall!

Could you atleast consider these great improvements? There is that few % of players that will pay BIG about unfair advantages! Some money right! Also let's remaster all the old community favorite maps. Silence was great, but now it's even better! It doesn't even look original one bit!

Thank you for these great improvements! Seriously, when does the ''Teleporter'' become avaivable? You could teleport from flag to flag! Just like flying with a hopper and spamming shift, that also would make everyone happy! Just make it from containers only, so that only few people can access it and it's fair!

Seriously what are you doing lmao!

I don't know if this is planned but this is my idea of an anti hack system the bans all types of hacks like fly hacking or infinite damage and it would instantly ban the person using the hacks the moment it is used

My goodness, all this time the solution was right under our nose! ?

ubHGz8V.png

You, sir, just single-handedly solved the hacking problem in Tanki. Congratulations!

On a serious note though, Tanki Online does have an anti-cheat system, and seeing as there's (from my experience) zero hackers at high ranks, seems like it's doing a pretty good job. The reason you don't see it in action, is because instead of actively banning players when they are already using hacks, it just prevents those hacks working in the first place with methods such as self-destructing the tank as soon as it does something suspicious, like a sudden movement in a strange direction.

The difficult part is deciding the boundaries of what's defined as a "sudden movement". Tanki's movement and impact force mechanics combined with players' lag sometimes makes honest players move in strange ways, very similar to hackers. It wouldn't be right to ban those players just because they had a bit of lag, right? It also wouldn't be right to put the threshold too high, because then some hacks could still be used. It's a delicate thing to try and balance.

Even human moderators occasionally make mistakes and ban honest players, because their lagged movement looks like hacks.
