Uhhh, isn't today suppose to be 3X Battle Funds?  The funds seem to be back to the normal pittance.

it ended at the last server restart

U missed it....

spent 700,000 crystal saved during sale,

 

now have

 

6x M4 turrets + 2x M3.5 turret+ alternation + 1 XT skin

3x M4 hulls + 2 XT skin

11x 50% protection module + 3x 40% protection module

6x drones, with one M4 drone

 

can't image it took 7 years in tanki to achieve that half decent garage as a free player

Sweet, now you can compete with other Legends! :)

It's more than "half-decent" - you can only use 1 combo at a time. ;)

 

Has taken me 3.75 years to accumulate...

3xm3 - 18/20 turrets

1xm3 15/20 turret

 

3xm3 - 18/20 hulls

1xm3 15/20 hull

 

10xm3 @ 47% modules

3 x m3 @ 46% modules

 2 drones.

Thats more then a half decent garage .

A decent garage ( and not even half decent ) is more like 2 m4 turrets , 1 or more m3.5 turrets . At least 1 m4 hull and modules for most used turrets +45% .

Anything above that is a good/great garage .

Half decent I mean "can survive half of the battle situation"

since overdrive, you need 6 hulls to choose overdrive for each situation.

 

I have M4 Hornet, Viking, Titan, but tanki add more power to unpopular hulls.

I need buy other 3 M3 hulls (relative ok cost) and make it M4 again (not easy for short time);

as at legend level, you can assume all enemy is M4 combo already, not like lower ranks, have stock M3 still ok.

 

Situation 1:

  * Titan M4: you got the drug up and open the Dome, the best comfort situation to sit in the middle of open field and destroy everyone,

---------------- then, a Mammoth comes close and activate his overdrive, and crash your M4 in seconds and everyone in the dome.

 

Situation 2:

  * Viking M4: you are guarding the flag full drug on, with overdrive ready, suddenly you got stunned, and drug off, a freeze hunter now shows up and snap the flag away and mine his back with sabortur drone

 

Situation3:

  * Hornet M4: let us face it, there is tons of turrets that can one shot light hulls, even with DA or enemy got boost drone, 3 modules to choose protect from (Railgun, Duplex Hammer, Sleghammer Thunder, Uranium Stricker, Magmum, Guass snipe, Shaft snipe )

 

 

so , it is half decent, you can't cope all situation unless you have all the options.

Drones and M4 Drones.

 

  * Drone is a game changer, top 140k+ drone need reach M4 maxed to get its true power, you dont want to just get 1 extra mine with MU-0 sabotur drone while wasting 1 battery per minute, = 2100 crystal worth of battery per battle

 

I have sabotur maxed. it is good at defend and mine the back after you snap the flag.

 

but in situation like attack, maxed Boost drone (it is like free 5sec viking overdrive for every DD) or Blaster will break the enemy defence in CTF and especially Assult mode. 

 

for going through enemy mine field, maxed LifeGuard drone and Defender drone with mine module will be the best in the situation.

 

also M4 LifeGuard drone basically give you at least 1000 hp to all your hulls.

 

also Boost drone enable you to instant kill almost any enemy flag stealer after you re-spawn at base. compared to none drone user.

You don't need 6 hulls.    Would you like to have 6 hulls?  sure.  But you can play with much less than 6 - and compete.

You can have all the options but you're still stuck with the combo you entered the battle with, if Garage doesn't open.

I don't know if he's lying , but he surely doesn't know all tricks in the game . He mentions you need a drone to survive a minefield , while i can perfectly survive a minefield , without damage and even without stocking mine module . Just activate OD on Titan , and i demolish every mine in the dome without issue .

I got all hulls now , and i use not more then 3 , and in MM i even rarely use more then 1 .Same for the turrets , if you handle your weapon correct , you do not need to change them many times or have many diffferent ones.

Drone , i have used it , and i will do more , but they offer only a pinch extra for a lot of batteries , not a game changer at all .

sure, it is perfect fine to with even 1 combo, I use XP for 4 years since start, and then switch to Titan Isida Twins after then due to More gun can one shot light hulls.

 

of course, it is more enjoy to put different style with different options.

 

like at MM, rush to enemy with Freeze/Hornet/LifeGuard at 6:50 start time, and get 1st flag when enemy just loading into the game;

then, switch to Hammer/Titan/Sabotur guarding at Base with mine.

if enemy get another flag to 1:1; it is time to get Freeze/Hunter/Defender+Mine module to counter already defending enemy base with stun and survive 1st second attack;

then, defending at home for 2:1 till the end. something like that, have handful of option to counter

 

it is just my 5 cent idea on current tanki game feel.

I will be scared to re-do the rankup steps when there are so many buyers at lower ranks comparing to old days. at least now I can fight at about same level as buyer. :D

if you open garage once to preload the content like turret/hull/module before entering any battle, it takes 5 sec to open the garage in battle, to do quick sweep.

 

normally after I got destroyed, I press "P" to pause, then go garage to change, (double click item to equip instead use "equip" button) and then you double click battle screen to go back and then  you respawn with new combo; that way you dont need to wait another 5 sec to Self Destruct to change; (so total like 10-15 sec to change)

What will be your next hull?

 

I like team batles and I'm team oriented, I'd go with DIctator because of the OD, it's a good hull when there's a good Titan in the team.

 

And what happened to wild002, is it yours too?

definitely, Hunter M3 + Mammoth M3.

 

the 2 most annoying overdrives, but mostly likely buy and mu to M4 during Xmas sale,  unless the new hover hull is more OP.

 

Titan and DIctator  is good with good team; if you have more options, you can at least defend at 1:1 or 0:0 till the end when team is not good during half way of battle.

 

but I found hornet is super good at first 30 sec of battle, if you have fast internet and enemy have bad internet, you can reach enemy base and snap flag flag back within the first 45 sec when people just load and not know the situation yet in small map.

I only have wild004 and wild001 and some super low ranks. I stop the wild004 as it got tougher and tougher at the rank and tanki slow down the rankup process, while old days, the max you can have is stock M3 for everyone, no MU, no drone, no overdrive, no 3-slot module with more than 100% total protection, compared to now 150% total for all combo

We know you can have 150% protection because, if you equip 3 Isida modules, whenever an Isida on your team starts shooting you, you gain health  :ph34r:

This is incorrect.  Upgraded paints before separation had > 100% total protection.  Example... Lumberjack

Well 2013 is a loooong time ago.

And what were the rank brackets in "the old days"?

 

The game certainly is more complicated now, and a lot of the "updates" they've made were implemented poorly.

 

But are you really pining for the days when Sergeants played against Colonels and Shaft had no laser?

And the reason we now have 150% total protection is because there are 14 turrets, and two of them have dual-type damage.
