HOT NEWS! Gauss Turret Released!

There's a lot of these turrets at low ranks. Few at mid ranks.

 

And there's an issue when we're using Fire and the turret emits a sounds, that's when you no longer listen the sound of your Fire.

Blah, blah, blah... I red all 6 pages about dayum opinions and nonsense questions (respeccct the exclusions: good quality replies). If you were lazy to read them all, read this reply.

It's a GOOD turret, if used properly. That's why you see bad opinions about it, because they might have tried it in the wrong way. Of course, supplies are the key in this game, since everyone is buying. That's why many players like XP/BP, because it's relied on skill. The turret is balanced. There are just many opinions on why it's good or bad. You can do this on ALL turrets.

GOLDEN RULE: Turret/Hull/T+H is good, you just have to use it in the right way (circumstances or/and tactics).

Now that I cleared this off, I want to say something:
I'd rather want Ares (the new hull) into the game then Gauss. Ares was revealed earlier than Gauss in the first place, so it would be better to release the updates in the reveal order. Second: in the last 9 years we got Shaft, Magnum, Striker, Hammer, Vulcan and Today gauss, but not a single hull. So for me, I'm more interested in Ares then Gauss. OK, OK! You might say that Gauss was ez to release because of the similarities to other turrets it has, but still. Ares is more appreciated by the community than Gauss, or any other new turret right now.

About Gauss: New Update - New Turret. Yay, I guess. (Not saying that I wasn't waiting for Gauss to be released at all, but I wanted to see Ares first. EVERYONE IS MORE INTERESTED IN THAT)

I have noticed that when other players using Gauss against me, the Gauss turret deals little damage. That is because this turret is underpowered. Even when using salvo mode. The gauss turret needs to be buffed up so that it can deal heavy damage or destroy enemy tanks.

I mean, tanki copies a lot of new games due to their succes. I'm not hating, what I meant was: Ofcourse you can copy which is nice. But at least change the name to be a little more original.

Well it's a Gauss Rifle. Other games mark it down as a Gauss Rifle. Tanki's turrets have only one-word names.

 

What would you call it?

Guys don't buy Owl module, you can play with Gauss without having Owl, save 250k.. I've just wasted 250k for owl, u can play without its protection. I cloud make it 3.5+ with those 250k, but alas!

Hey, at least now you have at least 35% protection against other Gausses. And it's not always that useless.

Who cares if they're taking the idea from another game? This is what gaming companies do, they take ideas from each other and put it in their own game(s).

 

 

imo It's only fair that there should be a laser when locking onto targets like there is for Shaft and Striker.

Why? They gave it "Fox ears" animation when it's going in sniping mode. So you should be able to see it if it's in your line of sight.

 

Besides, giving it a laser like shaft and striker would make it much harder to counter appropriately than it already is because you wouldn't know who's targeting you unless you look for the lasers direction, and by that time, they already got you.

The turrets that have lasers can kill medium hulls without DD.

 

Gauss can't can't even kill a light hull in sniper mode (no DD).

 

No laser is needed.     I have it at m2 - it's weak.

I can't believe I spent 200k plus crystals on this piece of junk!!! So far, I have not had 1 kill. I don't know if it is a glitch or what, but I haven't even been able to kill a hornet with it. According to all the hype, this was supposed to be a death turret. So far, more like a pop gun.  :angry:

I jumped the gun on this, I found out I was having computer issues and now all is running well, that being said. The turret is not bad, but not as awesome as I expected. It remains to be seen as to whether this was a good investment or not.

You think those light and medium hulls will stick around another 4 seconds for the follow-up?

 

Will take 3 shots for heavy.

 

Stick a laser on it and NO ONE will use it.

M1 and M2 are not OP because it unclocks at lower ranks than other turrets of the same modifications but upgraded should be OP. M1 and M2 kits are likely coming soon for a good price.

 

It has it's pros and cons and that depends in your play style and battle situations, not good for those that only want to have one combo, unless you're a camper, play team battles as TDM and quit when losing. But if you can afford more than one turret, it's a good addition to your garage.

 

Overall I don't like it because it worsens the situations for many of us. I feel like a noob for not camping and playing all team battles as TDM. why play with a Fire, Isida or Twins when you will get killed easy by the camping Gausses, Rails, Shafts, Magnums, Thunders, Smokies and so on?
