Gauss 1 shots anything

People already invented hacks for gauss? 1 gauss in high rank makes whole match unplayable. I have mammoth with double armor and some gauss kid 1 shots me with no supplies active.

But your Mammoth is M0.

Dude, that turret needs to be nerf.

I seen some crazy things with that turret.

Like what?

Yeah, like what? At M1, being able to one-shot medium hulls to not being able to is 70-30 at the moment. If they have protection against it, then it's not a one-shot anymore. We're witnessing its power when it is not being faced with protection, so it should be powerful.

You're at a rank where it is possible to buy the Booster Drone and sales for Drones already passed so I would expect more Booster Drones to be on the battlefield.

I went up against Legend players with the turret and they didn't seem to have the hang of it yet. I have the hang of it on my M1 account so I assume others do as well and are using it effectively.

After playing with it at M1, I don't think it needs to be nerfed. Its mechanics, and parameters for them seem to fit in almost perfectly with the mid-range turrets.

Is it better than Smoky? Most likely not. It has higher damage and a similar reload to Smoky but a slower reload can be detrimental to your survival. I assume that that is why they decreased Smoky's reload time, to facilitate Gauss' release.

Its the only thing that makes sense but then at least show the damn drone instead of immediately hiding it after spawning.

It's highly unlikely that 90% of all gaussers have the drone maximally upgraded.

Also the impact force is just insane, its like a wasp bomb and can move a damn mammoth off bridge.

Well, on an enemy, the drone disappears when it is activated. So when they use double damage, it should disappear. However, since its recharge time is 10 seconds, it should reappear relatively quickly.

This would only happen if you have the "Show other drones" box ticked in your settings. If you don't, well then you wouldn't know if they have it or not and you will be left in the dark as to why things are one-shotting you.

It rarely appears even with "show other drones" active, i am being fooled with fact that people stopped using drones while they are constantly disappearing.

It's damage is weak.  What are the "crazy" things that are done with the turret?

I second this. Without DD it still takes an extra shot to finish most heavier hulls off.

Without DD it takes an extra shot to finish off a light hull.

Gauss would need to be extremely lucky to one-shot an unprotected heavy hull, even with DD activated.

If they're an upgrade below it it one shots them with the super shots.

Gauss' maximum damage does not allow it to kill a heavy hull with a sniper shot + an arcade shot without double damage.

Before the change, it was not able to one-shot a heavy hull on any modification besides M1. Stock M1 Gauss back then was able to one-shot a Stock M1 Mammoth but it was at the tip of the maximum damage range, so unlikely, even for the previously tight damage spread.

After the change, the maximum damage in sniping mode allows it to one-shot a light hull (if it is very lucky) which in turn, would allow it to one-shot a heavy hull with double damage (if it is very lucky). But what about the cost? Its minimum sniping damage was also reduced, but the average damage stayed the same.

Right now, Gauss can only one-shot medium and heavy hulls from full health with double damage. Without it, it can only one-shot light hulls. It only one-shot anything if it has double damage enabled while the player is fully unprotected and the Gauss is lucky. Other than that, you will survive. With the broadened damage spread, it is possible for a medium hull to survive a sniper shot, it has happened to me many, many times.

Gauss can oneshot many things

But not everything.

Gauss's average sniping damage at M1 allows it to kill M0 light hulls in a single shot, and M1 light hulls with one sniper shot and a second arcade shot. It can't even oneshot M0 medium hulls without DD, and even M0 heavy hulls can sometimes survive a DD sniper shot.

That's an M1 turret being unable to pwn an M0 heavy hull, WITH A DD active.

If anything it needs a buff  <_<

I said light, not heavy. Would you really rather it be Magnum 2.0?

IF ?    Oh wait...

Instead of being mean, realize that I'm back after a long break (close to a year and a half) and inform me that such things as Duplet exist.

The key difference between a Duplet Hammer and Gauss is that Gauss has infinite range in sniping mode and three or four times the range of Hammer in Arcade mode. But in terms of raw damage performance, Gauss is like a Duplet Hammer.

Gauss also reloads significantly faster and doesn't have a potential to miss pellets and thus damage since Sniper mode deals all damage in one large chunk.

Xaxacaxaxa. Is Gauss basically supposed to be a mobile shaft? How should it function on the field?

Don't know.  Never claimed it was.

Hardly.  (LOL - original word was fine)

Duplet has been discussed a lot in forum recently.  Anyone who has done some back-reading would know this.

Not my problem you are not up to speed.  And... now you know.  You're welcome.  ;)

And why are you telling me the difference between Gauss and hammer?  My only point in the post was that hammer can do 2 shots at once.
