The Support Nanobots Challenge

After seeing another one of these again today, I decided it was time to take it seriously and start this challenge. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So it's simple. If you have the alteration, you are to finish in the Top 3 position of a MM DM battle.

 

Rules:

• No Drones are allowed.
• The Support Nanobots alteration must be in use for the entire battle. 

 

Sadly, unlike the Non-Buyer Challenge, there is no way for me to prove that you came first with Support Nanobots Isida. For all I know, unless you submit a video, you could have been another turret and then changed coming down to the end or the last 20 seconds. I put my faith in you guys' integrity. 

 

So far, I have failed. Here are my 5 attempts so far.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Before attempting, I deduced that the best hull to use for this would be Wasp, Hornet, or Hunter.

Mine is 17/20 as well so you're basically on the same boat as me in terms of damage. I get put with Legends of a number I don't know so they're bound to have M4s and such. Maybe since the ranks would be lower for you, you'd have a better shot.

One of the rules is that it has to be in a Matchmaking DM (Deathmatch) battle.

Oh I did read those, I was just showing it's possible to make (few) kills. :lol: I'm not a great fan of DM though I usually do well if I focus.

I'm not too sure about this, both wasp and hunter have really tall profiles and that doesn't help the next-to-unexistant vertical autoaim the beam has without broadband radiators.

The thing is to utilise its Overdrives. You're not going to win many duels without it. 

 

When I used it with Hunter, I had to stay still while shooting the stunned Vikings.

How can you enable the stats for the whole battle without holding R key? (I've tried pressing windows key while holding "R" but it doesn't work on my client)

I don't enable it for the entire battle. But I'd say that in a 7-minute battle, 4-5 of those minutes include me pressing the R button, even when I don't need it. 

 

If you're doing a video, you don't need to have that enabled for the entire battle, especially if it hampers your concentration when displaying too much jumbled information. All you'd need to do is flash it for a few seconds so we know. Or flash it once throughout the battle if you cut parts in it.

I have isida 20/20 mu-ed max isida, with the nano bot alt.

 

the only way I think it may work with Isida + Wasp in a relative small map with a lot of hide spot, like forest.

use Kill-Steal with fast wasp speed + Wasp bomb overdrive.

 

attack only those tanks who are being attacked, then go steal the kill with DD, and run away with speed for another weak tanki

my wasp is m0 although, I use kill steal with rail and wasp when I was at lower rank (that is way before they reset garage in 2012), it work well for weak tank, but you need big map and fast wasp to survive for rail user

I might try it soon. I think Hornet is a good choice for this, since you can activate OD and burn through some enemies' health fairly fast.

 

CBA to do a video though. Would it be enough to make 3-5 screenshots throughout the battle (since change cooldown is 3 mins)?

Well, I did it.

 

The Iran battle was my second attempt at this, and I got extremely lucky with the kills - one of them was literally one tick dealing 33 damage, and it was the final blow. Also I'm 5th, but by kills and stars I'm technically 3rd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Sandbox battle is just a straight-up legit 3rd. But also got quite lucky.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Took me a total of about 10 attempts.

Well, DM mode hasn't been loading for me for little while. And my other attempts were hard fails. But I was able to do this in this very lucky battle. 

 

 

If only TRAKTOR-125 didn't get that last kill.

MM DM battles are now harder to get into than getting an exotic item out of one container.

This seems like a fun challenge. Your only problem is that you leave zero ways to take advantage, so unless a DM battle is filled with all mults, no one will ever win

I finally did it. I should have recorded the battle for more concrete proof though. 

 

 

 

Could have gotten more but SN Isida's damage with Viking's Overdrive is laughable, and I was taken down by a Hunter who used a repair kit and then his OD to stop me. I would need to take my entire Overdrive to kill a medium with DA, and he just might survive if he uses a repair kit, so attacking players with protection modules against me would be a waste.
