MM DM challenge

Your task is to get finish in first place or place in top five with K/D of at least 1.50 in MM DM using one of the following alterations:

 

Corrosive Mix

Nanomass Reactor (I just want to see how good this one can be)

Destabilized plasma

Assault Rounds

Shooting Speed Regulator

Light Capacitors

Automated gunpowder loading mechanism

Remote Rocket Explosives

 

 

Screen shots and/or video is a form of proof, plus it helps us determine how good it is. I also want you to share what you think of it after you used it.

 

Bonus points if you used another one of the listed alterations in another MM DM battle and got first place.

I have a friend who gets literally first place in every battle with corrosive mix even if I carry him in legend matches via a group...

 

As for nanomass, I think it'll do well, but I don't have it and I rather save for new stuff.

Luckily, I was put in a map where everyone is out in the open. 

 

 

 

The first time I used Light Capacitors, it was kind of lacking because I was accustomed to being patient and waiting the almost 4 seconds to snipe a target. The arcade shots are the same as Stock Shaft so it's good there. I use Light Capacitors when I'm camping in the enemy base. I'd rather use Stock Shaft since with that, I'm able to one-shot hull HP medium hulls which is the most abundant hull I see in battles around that rank.

Well then. One thing that has a lot to do with my success in that battle because 1. it was Brest which is really good for mobile snipers in DMs, and 2. it was against lower ranks. For that battle I used Shaft/Hunter (and LCs ofc, sorry for not taking pic of the icon), and it works. The OD is great for DM. Especially playing against lower ranks where some tankers would have M2s but few would have higher than that, my combo was OP, because even with the alteration I can one-shot M2 medium hulls (I have M3 Shaft/Hunter  :rolleyes:).

 

Thoughts on the alteration itself? I generally use it with Hornet but opted for Hunter because it was DM. It's good - I haven't even used it that much but already I feel the power. It feels like Tanki at 2x speed. The time between kills is hectic. If you have an enemy in sight, they're basically dead because you can kill them well nigh instantly. Awesome alt. 

 

I would attempt the challenge with other alts but I don't have them :P

 

Btw note that Congo also got it with LCs.

 

*Edit: may I suggest adding Magnum's AGLM alt to the list? And perhaps Striker RRE.

The support nanobots challenge actually makes sense, since the alt is specifically made to turn Isida into a healer. The alts you listed here though - they're just like any other alt, but perhaps a bit weaker in some situations.

Well, the listed alterations are extremely rare to see in battle, meaning that there's not enough data to be collected, without doing this challenge.

 

Who knows? Some might be upgrades, some may be downgrades. It's important to see what they can do in battle not just on paper.

I think I actually got Assault Rounds on one of my low ranked accounts.

 

Though I'm not gonna put my account on there, just wouldn't be right.

 

I did try it in MM DM about a year or so ago. It wasn't bad. It was a downgrade from stock smoky in terms of damage, but it's a nice trade off.

 

I might try it again tonight.

So the majority of the players were m2. I still managed to get 5th place. But if you plan on using smoky in DM, just stick with stock instead of Assault rounds.

 

However, I do think that this alteration has a potential in team battles like CTF and rugby.

Since I've gotten first place with my stock Ricochet several times, a destabilized plasma Ricochet is technically capable of doing the same thing.

 

They have the same DPS, and the ricochet effect is often not utilized in deathmatch battles anyway.

I mean, the bounce is nearly unusable without MFS anyway... The range has been nerfed a lot since the years I played rico with.

Well that's one purpose. The main thing is that it's a challenge.

First try:

 

 

Compared to Stock Magnum, it is able to shoot back-to-back 100% velocity shots faster. At M0, they both do it every 8 seconds. The gap slowly increases until it reaches M4 where Stock magnum shoots one every 5 seconds while AGLM Magnum shoots one every 4.4 seconds. 

 

They both have their advantages and disadvantages over the other.
