Anyone have same problem with 144Hz monitor while playing Tanki Online?

So, I have bought new monitor „AOC C24G1“, I set my refresh rate to 144hz, on desktop it looks 144hz normally, but while playing tanki it looks 60hz only on windowed and full screen mode, and laggy. This is game problem... You should add options for gaming monitors in tanki.. Because, it's impossible to play with 144Hz in tanki, it locks on 60Hz.

Tanki Online is 60 Hz game and you are playing with 144 Hz. So it will obviously form a problem. You better play Fortnite But for that you need 240 Hz Moniter.

I've 2 monitors One is of 60 and other is of 240. I play tanki online in 60 hz monitor and fortnite 240  hz. So try getting 60hz

I believe the HTML5 engine exhibits a higher FPS limit, or it has something to with Vertical or Adaptive Sync. In my case, the FPS limit rises above 60 but stops at 75, as I have a 75Hz monitor. I've had a few friends manage to get 120 FPS as well for their respective 120Hz monitors.

As for the Flash versions, browser or client, they are capped at 60 FPS.

On which client are you getting 75? I've got a 95hz monitor and always thought that it was a Flash limitation, or are you talking about html5 60+fps?

The Flash version of Tanki is limited to 60 FPS, but the HTML5 version has 144 FPS limit.

Yup, in the HTML5 version in my Chrome browser, I get 75 FPS, and it's strictly capped at that.

A little strange to me that it caps it at the monitor's refresh rate when I'm pretty sure it doesn't use any form of V-Sync, FreeSync, or G-Sync (settings that limit your FPS to your monitor's refresh rate to prevent the graphics card and the monitor from going out of sync and creating screen tearing). Completely uncapped FPS would make more sense to me, not that it matters to most but it's more useful to record high FPS clips if I were to slow them down for example.

In any flash versions, browser or client, it is indeed a Flash limitation capping it at 60 FPS.

Just tried it, mine caps at 94fps which is close enough to 95hz, wonder why they've built in a limiter. Pity the optimisation on HTML5 is so bad, they've done a great job for mobile.

We didn't built in a fps limiter, this is how this technology (html5, flash) works.

Flash is strictly capped at 60 fps and there is nothing we can do about it. Just like we can't really solve crash issues for flash as going above 700 Mb of VRAM (if I remember correctly) poorly handled by this technology.

HTML5 is capped by monitor refresh rate. If you got 120Hz monitor (I do) you get 120 fps. Same problem though — we can not remove this limitations as it is comes with this technology.

And yes, I does not get to monitor refresh rate with current HTML5 version as it is poorly optimized. Good news is that for the next HTML5 with new UI we are using the same optimized engine we are currently running for Android.

But I can not play in 144Hz, because Tanki Online don't even have option like „FPS Limiter“ or „Gaming Monitor“... Sad :/ Playing with lag in 144hz...

I have a solution for you

Don't play tanki

I think reducing your Hz might help.

I don't think Monitors don't come with fixed Hz. Go to your G-card settings or Monitor settings and try finding it.

I tried out setting my Hz to 60Hz, works fine..

It should work. Monitors "DO" give access to change your Hz from 144 to 60. If he face lags on 144hz, he can change it to 60hz.

He have to do it until Tanki moves to HTML5.

Issue found. Use 60hz, tanki doesn't have FPS Limiter, max 60 fps, so you cannot play 144Hz, you should use 60Hz while playing tanki...
