Indication that you're being locked on by Gauss (besides the Fox ears)

Exactly, someone who gets it.

No....

You forget that Smoky and Railgun both do significantly lower damage and are not able to damage multiple enemies at once as easily as Gauss can do.

Also, Magnum takes lots of skill to use to get perfect shots. Granted, top players will use this like Gauss 2.0 but unlke Gauss, Magnum will never have a 100% chance of having its shots hit the target. Gauss will always hit its sniping shots once you lock on, but human error is Magnum's big downfall.

We don't appreciate pointless topic bumping though. If you do reply to an old abandoned thread, make sure your comment adds some value to the discussion.

Did you say that because he quoted a post you wrote two years ago?

Railgun and low damage, don't quite mix bro. Things only feel weak because of 50 prot. If you are a Gauss player who doesn't have AP and EMP Salvo, and you face a 50 prot player, it's best to not even try going for them.

This can apply for AP or EMP Salvo, if the enemy you are shooting, is wearing Immunity. So not only is 50 prot a problem, but your Augment, makes your supershot a lot weaker.

No, because the reason this topic got bumped is because a similar idea got merged into it.

This is literally the case with every turret in the game, not just gauss. Face a player with 50% protection against your turret and your shots are much weaker.

Armadillo makes things controversial. But with the introduction of “critical damage.” Specific turrets are starting to do a lot more damage than they did before. Gauss and Thunder being example of Turrets not being affected by critical damage boosts.

Rail definitely benefited. It does approximately only 600 damage in mk2-7, but critical it does 1555 damage or something. I love it please don't change it.
