Developers could make the silver container only for stars.

The Old Weekly Containers are the old Weekly Containers, the ones without the Toins.

They did this change to not put Toins in the old Weekly Containers that players had in their garage, like you having 30 of them.

I guess that was to be fair to everyone, because some have saved a lot of the old Weekly Containers, while some have opened them already.

So those that saved their old Weekly Containers would have got a lot of Toins already, while those that have opened them would have got nothing. See? Unfair.

Now everyone gets the new Weekly Containers with Toins and they can open them right away or save them for later, but all will get the Toins.

And the Old Weekly Containers have to remain the same because that's what we expected them to be. I'm saving my Old Weekly Contianers as far as I can, because the higher the rank the higher the rewards.

There's a reason why many things are like they are, sometimes good reasons and sometimes bad reasons, but there are reasons.

They said that PRO Battles can be accessed for free in the future in the HTML5 version. Does this mean that the mobile version will also be able to access PRO Battles?

Questions:

1. I know that there are reasons for everything. I was asking you, will the silver container icon remain in my garage even when I have used up my stock of old weekly containers?

2. Once the silver container icon is empty, will the silver container be used in the future to earn bonus stars for the silver tier?

I know that the old weekly containers won't have any Tankions, like the developers said. The new weekly containers will be the ones containing Tankions and all the other usual rewards.

Yes. The gray icon stays even if empty. I know this because I have an account with no Old Weekly Containers to open and the gray icon is there.

That's great because later on developers could choose the grey icon for a new breed of containers. This might be a stars container of something else entirely new. Who knows what the future holds for grey containers.

I think they should rename the gray Old Weekly Containers as Red Containers, and this new Red Containers should be given as rewards for contests, like forum contests. But they need to have the same rewards, because many of us will be saving them for a long time... until we rank up to WO2... I mean Legend.

The new Weekly Container should be renamed as Blue Container.

That way we don't have to see that gray container icon ever again.

I agree with you. It would be great for developers to rename the blue containers as "Blue containers". Gray containers would be for bonus stars obtained for challenges when players finish battles in the top 3 places on any team, making great efforts in battles.

I like the idea for red containers. These red containers would be gives as contest rewards, like you said above. However, I strongly suggest to have new breeds of containers in every colors. For example, white, yellow, green, red, blue, black, grey, brown, pink, cyan, magenta, gold, bronze and any other colors.

So Gauss regular mode is more powerful than Smoky, yet it has about the same relaod time and other parameters?

Smoky reloads faster than Gauss does, as well as its projectile being an instant hit...as well as a critical hit mechanic that can be amplified using alterations...which Gauss doesn't have.

Have you fired both as a player?  Do you feel they perform the same?

Smoky also has 1-in-5 shots as critical...

Yeah, you're right, Smoky reloads in 1.4 seconds (M3+), and Gauss takes a long time... 1.5 seconds. :P

Yes, I have Gauss and Smoky.

Sigh.

You see, you're only looking at it as one shot. They don't one-shot hulls. It takes many shots for each. As you keep shooting, that gap between them adds up. Not to mention that Gauss' projectile has to travel, which adds even more time to the gap. And then you have to factor in professional play by using impact force. If you shoot faster, you can knock off your enemy's aim faster, and therefore deny your enemy many shots that would proval lethal against you.

You only replied to the reload time parameter. Did you acknowledge the others?

Well done for 1,000 posts!

Some numbers for Gauss' regular mode and Smoky at M3+

Gauss' regular mode average damage = 705

Smoky's damage, average including Critical = 588

Gauss' regular mode reload = 1.5

Smoky's reload = 1.4

Gauss' regular mode impact = 330

Smoky's impact = 330

Gauss' regular mode recoil = 220

Smoky's recoil = 200

Gauss' rotation and rotation acceleration = 90

Smoky's rotation and acceleration = 120

Gauss's projectile speed = 250m/s

Smoky's projectile speed = infinity

Gauss' auto aim = 7 and 10 deg

Smoky's auto aim = 9 and 12 deg

Gauss' projectile radius = 1m

Smoky's projectile radius = none, I guess.

Gauss' regular mode weak damage = 90%

Smoky's weak damage = 50%

Gauss' regular mode ranges = 100 and 150m

Smoky's ranges = 100 and 150m

Sigh.

Yes, there are differences, but damage is the big one.

Damage does not mean much if you don't hit.  The curve on Gauss regular shot means it will miss a LOT more than smoky will.

Plus... you can see where Gauss shot comes from.  Smoky you can't.

It sucks sometimes that the EN Wiki displays the wrong information sometimes.

Gauss' weak damage is 50%, not 90%.

How that damage is delivered matters as well, in accordance to its other parameters. Are you trying to say that there is no reason to use Smoky when you can use Gauss?

Damage does not mean much if you don't hit.  The parabolic curve on Gauss regular shot means it will miss a LOT more than smoky will.

Parabolic curve?

At the beginning I was looking for the opportunity to snipe, now I don't care, I play Gauss like Smoky most of the time.

Just keeping a distance and aiming more cerefully.

Having PRO battles without the Pro Pass, could help many players stay in the game.

I think many players that hate MM could go there and keep playing the game, but they will get weaker and weaker compared to those that play MM and that is another problem for balance in PRO battles, apart from all the abuse that cheaters can do there.

So I think Tanki needs to rethink PRO battles. Maybe devs need to change the battle reward system there. Maybe there should be more llmitations and less options, like limits in time and removal of Autobalance OFF and Friendly Fire. Or maybe PRO MIssions with different requirements that don't lead to abuse but is another source for income. Friends shouldn't fight in both teams, except maybe in another format but with half the rewards.

Just some thoughts.

You did not answer my question. How many weeks will it take for the next V-Log to be on air?

Next V-LOG will be on August 23
