Juggernaut problems - Please Buff it up

I have found out that in 7 minute matchmaking battles, juggernaut dies very quickly, even after spawning as juggernaut. That is due to very poor levels of armor that this tank has. I have insisted many, many times over and over that juggernaut must have at least double the armor as it has now. Juggernaut should die only once in a 7 minute battle. The reason behind that is because juggernaut is a tank that must be strong enough so that it makes it difficult for other players to destroy. Please buff up juggernaut's armor.

 

Not many juggernaut battles:

 

The reason behind that there are not many juggernaut matchmaking battles is because this tank is too weak. Also, its railguns don't deal enough damage, and also its strikers only fires 6 rockets. Juggernaut's strikers would be better if they fired 8 rockets and the lock-on target mode loaded faster. If all those parameters are buffed up, many more players would be encouraged to play matchmaking juggernaut battles.

 

Wasp, Hornet and Juggernaut problems:

 

I have noticed that the top speed of juggernaut is only slightly faster than Wasp and Hornet. That is a problem because Wasps and Hornets mostly use speed boosts to keep up following juggernaut. Wasps and Hornets are the first enemies to be on juggernaut's tail to destroy juggernaut. My suggestion is to increase juggernaut's top speed by 10%. That would be just enough to keep those schools of noob Wasps and Hornets off juggernauts back.

 

Juggernaut missions:

 

Juggernaut now feels too much like Deathmatch mode. That is another reason why players find it kind of boring, so players don't bother playing it. My suggestion to make the juggernaut mode more unique is for developers to create very special juggernaut missions that change every day. That is for juggernaut missions to be different every passing 24 hours. Here are some examples of the type of special missions for juggernaut mode:

 

1. Become juggernaut.

 

2. Destroy juggernaut.

 

3. Destroy 10 enemies with juggernaut in the same battle.

 

4. Push enemies away from you using juggernaut's overdrive.

 

5. Catch a gold box whilst being a juggernaut.

 

Players would be able to change their juggernaut daily missions as usual. They have 1 free try change. After that, player pay a small fee to change the second mission attempt.

 

Juggernaut in team battles:

 

I would recommend developers to re-work the juggernaut mode so that it can be suitable for gameplay in team battles. For that, the juggernaut mode would need to be re-worked intelligently. This is possible. The juggernaut mode would be more fun in team battles because there would only be one juggernaut, like in solo DM style juggernaut battles. Team mates in juggernaut team battles would help and defend the juggernaut players in battles to fend off and push back enemies. Players would see from time to time, Isida team mates following and healing the juggernaut tank. Also, enemy Isidas would try to kill juggernaut by using their Isidas and overdrives against it. If this becomes implemented, then new juggernaut missions would become possible. Here are some example:

 

1. Hide under Titan's dome overdrive to get protection from enemies.

 

2. Let Isida team mates heal your health to full capacity.

 

3. Keep a Titan or Mammoth as your bodyguard to keep you alive during the entire battle.

 

4. Do not die at all during the full length of a matchmaking battle.

 

5. Capture 10 flags using juggernaut.

 

6. Capture 10 balls using juggernaut.

 

7. Capture 10 control points using juggernaut.

 

8. Get a team mate on top of you to kill enemies on higher elevation. (You only complete this mission if you team mate successfully destroys an enemy on a platform above you).

 

Missions difficulties:

 

There are three mission difficulties for juggernaut. They are, Easy, Medium, Hard. Players would get 3 new juggernaut missions per day if they successfully complete all 3 missions per day. If you don't complete one or more of your juggernaut missions, they will be re-assigned on the next day.

 

Weekly juggernaut missions:

 

Just like daily missions, juggernaut also needs to have weekly missions. These missions would be harder than the normal weekly missions that players complete in other game modes. Those weekly missions could be any of the following examples:

 

1. Complete 3 sets of daily missions for 7 days without skipping any.

 

2. Use 100 juggernaut overdrives.

 

3. Destroy 100 enemies.

 

4. Earn 10,000 experience points.

 

5. Remain alive during entire battles in 10 battles.

 

6. Open 10 standard or 10 weekly containers.

 

Weekly missions would add lots of interests for juggernaut players.

 

Juggernaut in pro battles:

 

Me and other players have complained that there are no juggernaut pro battles right now. However, there is a green juggernaut button at the bottom of the battle list interface. I speculate that developers are planning on making juggernaut battles available to pro battles, but development seems to be too far off. Please add juggernaut to pro battles. Players would enjoy making pro juggernaut battles with custom settings so that players can enough chasing juggernaut on maps other than matchmaking maps. Players using juggernaut, would enjoy doing hundreds of kills with juggernaut and taking pro battles seriously for crushing tonnes of enemies to bits. For example, the Desert map would be the best place for juggernaut battles. That would be due to the large size of the map and the flat terrain and wide open spaces for juggernaut to keep on moving freely without getting cornered by enemies. This is just an example. Player would choose which map to play on and which battle mode they wish for juggernaut, as well as other settings of their choice.

I believe that all my suggestions are the right steps forwards to improve juggernaut battles as well as the juggernaut tank itself. I want developers to listen to me "RIDDLER_8" and make the right decisions on improving the juggernaut tank and the juggernaut mode alike. If developer do what I ask for, than more and more players would be encouraged to join more juggernaut battles and create custom battles as well. The more juggernaut battles there are, the more chances players gets to take juggernaut into their own hands. An all buffed up juggernaut means that more players would be willing to take juggernaut into their own hands to do mass killings and take the top places in battles and make it to victory.

 

Here on this topic, I am trying not to repeat myself too much but I want to persuade developers to accept and improve both the juggernaut tank itself and the juggernaut matchmaking battles and pro battles, and also list some examples of what kind of daily and weekly juggernaut missions could be introduced into this game mode to make it more exciting for players to complete. These daily and weekly juggernaut missions are not replacements of the daily and weekly missions for other game modes, but only brand new unique missions that would exclusively be available only for the juggernaut game mode. Players would be able to compete challenges as usual with juggernaut. No change on them.

 

Please do not merge this topic with any of my topics of topics made by other players. Read all the information carefully and mark this topic as valid.

You say this, but this is the 3rd or 4th topic you've posted about buffing Juggernaut. I'll explain it again. Directly buffing Juggernaut in any way is not the right solution. Yes, it will help players like you survive a bit longer, but at the same time more experienced Juggernaut players, who can already survive for a long time with the current stats, will become completely indestructible.

 

You already have a pretty good idea about adding a special kind of protection for Juggernaut, as well as a couple other decent ideas to improve the game mode. But this one is a rather basic in a sense that you just want to increase all its stats.

 

The reason there aren't that many Juggernaut battles is not because the tank is too weak, but because the game mode is not something a lot of players enjoy. Many simply don't understand how to play it, or their tank isn't good enough to effectively kill the Juggernaut. It won't be easy to increase this mode's popularity without doing something absurd like adding 5x battle funds.

 

For the same reason there won't be Juggernaut missions. The game mode is unpopular and very few people enjoy it, so while you and I would love to see JGR missions get added, most players would see it as an inconvenience that they would have to waste their free mission change on.

 

As far as I know, developers do plan to turn JGR into more of a team-like mode, but it will be similar to TDM, rather than CTF or RGB. However, there are currently no plans to add JGR to PRO battles. It's possible, but not anytime soon.

Out of all the suggestions in this topic, I would hate the missions that you suggested because some of them are very exploitable, while others would either be nearly impossible or just too time consuming.

 

Also just buffing the armor may give noob juggernauts a better chance at survival, but it would also make xpbp tryhards much more impossible to kill..

 

It's better to:

 

1) give players that are simply bad at using juggernaut more HP and damage while the xpbp tryhards get less.

 

OR

 

2) let players choose what turrets they want to use as their primary and secondary modes.

Well, it is such a shame that not that many people enjoy juggernaut. I like this game mode very much but the only drawback complaint that I have with this tank is that it dies too quickly. That is, juggernaut can die right after spawning, which happens too often. Something must be done about that.

 

One thing that I like, which you said above, is that developers are planning into making juggernaut a team based battle mode. That would be amazing because juggernaut would have less enemies and team mates defending it, and even team mate Isidas healing it when taking damage. Titan's with their dome overdrives would really help juggernaut survive when its under heavy attack by multiple turrets in very tough situation.

 

Yes, of course, I have a very good idea about adding a special kind of protection for juggernaut. That is the "gold paint with the defense protection shield". I remember creating this topic from last year.

 

What I suggest for developers to do to increase the number of players playing the juggernaut mode is to add unique features relating to both the juggernaut tank and the juggernaut mode. How about creating an entirely new container that would only drop in juggernaut battles? This container would need to contain unique rewards, which differ completely from containers that drops in other battles including the ones you buy from the shop.

 

Another feature that would increase the number of players in the juggernaut mode would be to add this mode to pro battles. developers must re-think the juggernaut mode so that more players can play it, so that this battle mode becomes more popular. Also, adding bonus points and crystals to killstreaks would also benefit for the increase in the number of players using this game mode.

 

I still think that there are some areas where juggernaut needs a buff. It could be its top speed, or its overdrive. A really good and helpful suggestion for the need of a juggernaut buff would be to greatly increase its overdrive range so that juggernaut can push and flip enemies away when they are in the range of around 20 to 25 meters. It would also be a good idea to make juggernaut overdrive deal damage to enemies when they are in the range of juggernaut's overdrive. The amount of damage enemies receive from juggernaut's overdrive would depend on how close the enemies are to the juggernaut tank.

 

I am not exaggerating, but there are still many areas that needs to be reworked and buffed for the juggernaut tank and the juggernaut game mode. Have a thorough think about it. Ask other developers to see what are the weak areas of juggernaut and the juggernaut game mode that needs a buff and reworking of its gameplay mechanics.

I really feel like it's somewhat futile to discuss with you why some of the changes you have suggested will backfire, so I won't. 

 

I would love to see JGR missions though. I had predicted that that would increase its popularity, hopefully by a little bit, and add some variety to each tanker's gameplay. But as Maf said it would be more of an inconvenience, we could scale it down a lot.

Me too, I would like to see juggernaut missions be introduced into this game mode, so that more players play this game mode.

 

You "B" option makes sense. It's better to give players the ability to choose their juggernaut turrets. That way, noobies would not die so much.

The actual reason not a lot of tankers choose Juggernaut is because most of them are CTF tryhards who are saying "Juggernaut is no strategy, CTF need the most strategy." For me to attract more players... how about 2x EXP and 4x crystals when killing targets as a Juggernaut.

I agree with you. It would encourage players to like the juggernaut mode more if players earned 4x the amount of crystals for destroying the juggernaut tank, as well as earning 2x more experience points per kill. It's true that the juggernaut game mode need more strategy and skills in those battles.

 

I have suggested already that it would be very ideal for the juggernaut game mode to become a team battle mode so that this game mode become more interesting. Having teams for the juggernaut tank would be one of the good ideas to keep juggernaut alive for longer due to less enemies and having team mates to defend the juggernaut when it needs help by other players. Isida team mates would be the first medics at hand trying to heal the juggernaut tank, whilst team mates Titans can cover the juggernaut by protecting it with its dome overdrive.

 

Tankions must be spent outside the shop. That is earning them from containers of challenges.
