He's right, it has nothing to do with spawn protection. It is especially frustrating with guass when I try to lock on to some one immediately after using od, only to find that I get 0 dmg

Yes, Gauss is what I play Viking with. My suggestion is when your Overdrive finishes, fire a stray arcade shot. Your next shot after that (whether it be an arcade or a sniping shot) should deal damage.

 

As for why it does that, I'm not sure. It could be a side effect of the increased firing rate mixing with the Overdrive abruptly ending after the 7 seconds.

Well, when you have 5 people shooting you, there is no difference between getting a 0 dmg shot and firing a stray. No one gets hurt. You die.

What happened to those 5 people when you had your Overdrive active?

I have also experienced no damage during the middle of the battle where I will randomly do no damage, so I have to stop and then reload. With vulcan, that is very frustrating. Most likely a glitch in the flash client, not sure about HTML5 tho.

What if I used it to kill the Juggernaut? What if I used it to get the Juggernaut down to one shot? then got no damage? what if I died before i could shoot again? It has happened to me many times before

Ya I''v done that with vulc too, but I don't think it's the same thing

Well this is mode-specific and is 1 of the 7 modes available. I'll admit, that is a problem there, but you (hopefully) have teammates that can also damage the Juggernaut.

 

Here is something that may hopefully mitigate the problem on a personal level: Think of that as the quick reload time for the last shot of the Overdrive being interrupted by the end of the Overdrive, like a shell that failed to load properly due to the rapid change in efficiency from Overdrive to non-Overdrive (like having vigour and suddenly losing it and immediately feeling sluggish). 

That won't solve the problem on a technical level (it's up to the devs to fix that if they can), but it might be able to help you ignore it or shrug it off.

Not sure if this has been discussed before or not. When I joined a MM TDM battle, I started the battle off with extra score, kills and deaths that came out of nowhere. I took a screenshot a bit late, but as you can see, the numbers just don't add up. I ended up getting extra crystals and 3 stars, although I didn't play that well this game. This is not the first time this has happened to me either.

Still working for me. Are you using the TO client from the website or some other type of flash standalone player? If your using the client, then try reinstalling or clearing cache.

Both of these solutions typically work, but not with this scenario for some reason.

It is either your internet connection, or if you are using an ancient PC that's causing the issue.

I suggest checking your in-game keybinds. I believe you are probably playing on the Flash client, and you might have accidentally set it up where Shift, instead of being the key to activate your Overdrive, opens up the chat. If this is the case, simply change the keybind for opening the chat back to the Enter key, and set the Overdrive key to be Shift.
If this solution doesn't work, send us another message here, and we can help you (Screenshots would be useful too, if you can provide such).

It is clearly not normal, no reason to give you zero damage. It could be a visual glitch.
