Here are my impressions. I do not like Capture the Point much, and the Siege pretty much just reminds me of a painfully slow Capture the point mode. Literally the only difference is that the point takes eternity to capture, that it is reset very easily and that it appears randomly on three different places (correct me if there are more or less of them on some map. Dunno, for me personally, it just feels like an annoying form of CP that I already do not like much.

And as always, right now 80% of players do not even bother capturing it at all, but that does not surprise me since a lot of players treat every mode as TDM.

Haven't tried the new mode but I have a feeling that my first impressions were right.

Also, there is no such thing as teamwork in this, and if people think it exists in it, then they're either BSing or need brain surgery. I mean capping a point as a team takes longer than capping it by yourself, and it only takes one player to halt and (seems like) reset the enemy teams capture progress even if the enemy team has more players on that point.

 

Bottom line is that devs wasted their time on something that ended up as a failure, rather than using that time to improve the game like add ability to change weekly missions, or adding ability to see mission progress in battles, or even an option to continue actively engaging in the battle while garage is loading.

well what did you expect from Tanki devs, they're always flying after trends, half-created ideas, and monetizing the game.

Well it's good that they're showing the buyers (big and small) some love. What I don't like is that they're favoring exploiters over those that play by the rules.

I most certainly agree with you. That is the purpose of, pretty much, every forum. But when someone is expressing their opinion, they need to express it as their opinion, and not like it's the opinion of all forum members. In my opinion the Siege mode isn't a failure, it's a fun gamemode concept, that I, myself, like very much. But that's only my opinion, and nobody else's. If someone has a different opinion, I have no problem to discuss it with them. But there really is no point when they just say "It's bad, period." A person doesn't want to change their mind, and rejects all other opinions. The person should at least write for what reason they dislike the update, to cause less... confusion, or something like that.

 

And yes, it is offensive that you're telling me "take a pill", becuase that basically saying that I'm mentally unable to understand "simple" things. But I will not take that as an offense, because I don't believe that's what you wanted to do. Cheers. ?

My experiences were quite the opposite. Most players go towards the point in my battles. It's mainly the Gausses that stay back and snipe. I go out and spawntrap/kill dangerous enemies so they can't make it to the point. It also serves as a distraction from the point because they'll have to deal with me.

Or I would clear them out from the point one by one, generating Overdrive charge for Hornet's Overdrive, then after a bit, let loose on the enemies and hope my team captures. Either we do or we get overpowered and don't. If we don't have any Hunters, it's up to the Hornets to clear them out of the domes.
