why? so everyone can take dictator?! xD meteors made it more fun.

Meteors are the worst, dictators are easy to contest with, I already contested 7 dictators while I was viking and took the gold (last year halloween) 

I've never been fan of meteorites

I took about 30 golds in a few hours with the meteors using Viking, its not impossible.

 

Even though thats far more than I would usually take of normal drops, I still prefer drops, they're just more fun.

what ever they change there will always be something too powerfull, if mammy over will change, after that all will use hunters. u cant do nothing to stop. now people will say u can kill hunter but not mammoth, its not truth with Viking hunter wasp even titan, Viking OD can kill all of them before  rocket drop  hunter can freeze  titan can use over and kill mammoths, wasp can deactivate mammonth overdrive, problem is only that people always choose easy way to take gold, and they choose mammonth. if there more people usiong hunters and wasps mammonths wont be able to take all the golds.

Most of the players are complaining about the mammoths and the meteorites.

So...i have an idea how this problem can be fixed

Mammoth's overdrive will still protect it from any damage such as shots and mines ...but it will have no protection against meteorites and...the player will instantly die  if  he is close to the meteorite's explosion.

Be also aware of these crap meteorites, they are literally destroying the fun, bring back normal gold dropping and everything will be perfect. (we can't even make a good gold box video, such as gold box skill...)

Actually, there were either 30% or 25% discounts last year (can't remember). Fun fact - in 2016 (I think, maybe 2015) there were 13% discounts...

We're goin' up, babyyy!

there was 1 year with 31% im pretty sure and the discount was added to kits too

Just a short official statement. We are aware about Mammoth's problem and already passed it to Game Designers.

Thanks for your feedback. Just to say though - please don't make the huge mistake of nerfing Mammoth in all modes for the sake of meteor gold events which happen only 3-4 times per year. Mammoth in other modes is not overpowered and does need a nerf.

 

Just make a change that concerns meteors only - some of the suggestions are good, Mammoths damaging each other is a good idea - or all hulls (Titan too) taking damage from meteors would be good. I personally think instead of full damage, Titan and Mammoth should take half - damage when using overdrive, otherwise they go back to never taking meteor golds if they take full damage.

So you've chosen death for them? I assume the meteor is exactly the same as Wasp's bomb and has the same damage. 9999/2 = ~5,000. Only Titan would survive it because its dome already gives 85% protection against it.

Has anyone tried using 3 Titan domes against the meteorites or Mammoths?

 

I was able to activate 2 domes, but it doesn’t help against Mammoths. Maybe the protection and hp recovery doesn’t increase when using a second or third dome.

HP recovery does increase, not sure about the protection.

Protection stays the same, at 85%. Multiple domes do not affect the % protection, only the healing rate.

Mammoth's Overdrive ignores the dome's protection.

i agree dont take away from mammy in MM(no iam not a mammy fan in general)but nerf it for the sake of holiday map fun.

 

catching golds never was my thing it was about the mass kill count for me  :D

Is it possible to make the new Halloween map from the pumpkin hunt a permanent MM map? 

 

It's one of my favorites.

That would make it lose it's excitement, big open maps like that dont really work in MM IMO. Look at Parma for example.

I see they have changed it, with a change that will affect all modes just for the sake of these 3-4 times per year meteor events. I'm not surprised! However personally, I think actually that this Mammoth overdrive change is actually a buff, doesn't look too bad too me.

When you really read the information they gave, it's a nerf. No more invincibility means it can be killed. Which means it can be one-shotted while it has the Overdrive active. Wasp's bomb doesn't* deactivate it anymore but it lost its invincibility, which means Wasp's bomb is a big threat even if it has its Overdrive active, and then they removed the impact force negation of the Overdrive. So you're gonna be feeling the impact force of the bomb and the meteor the same was as Titan, possibly flipping you at the right distance and part of certain maps. 

 

You're not gonna be able to start a base raid for your team if you can be killed while you have it active going towards the base. Hunter, with the help of its turret, can now become a hard counter to it. 

 

This is assuming that no (unspoken) changes are being made and that everything said in the main post is what is happening.

I don't see why they can't just let the meteor act like the current Wasp bomb and disable the Overdrive. Maybe it's a technical thing but it sounds straight forward. I trust that they have their reasons for not taking that path.

Good point about the Hunter/Wasp overdrive - definitely much more powerful against Mammoth now. However considering that you will now be faster and the overdrive will now last for 7 seconds, you will be able to kill more tanks and catch up with people more easily that you could before. If you were on low hp and had used your repair kit with the old Mammoth overdrive as soon as it's over you would die, now you can use it on low hp and get a full heal - in some situations that could actually be better. Overall I think I can see pluses and minuses for Mammoths with these changes but I think it could actually be fairly strong.
