We have a lot of news for you this week. In addition to launching our Halloween event, we have prepared a lot of cool things for you — Coinboxes, a new themed WAR, and also technical changes to the game.

with those decreases maybe we will finally have some decent  battles now..

 

Juggernaut is no different then team death match . when a player flips over and needs to use delete..

What do you mean by the freezing level of Freeze?

 

Is the freezing effect of Freeze reduced? I hope not. If Freeze is nerfed so much than it will become useless, so players will no longer use this turret. A 90% reduction of the freezing level is a lot.

How quickly someone gets frozen.

 

It went from 90% to 20%. So, a 70% decrease.

Hold on... Freeze loses 77% of it's main ability (slowing down enemies) but only gets to fire for 1/2 second longer?

I guess they sold enough Freezes, Freeze MUs, Freeze modules, and Freeze alterations.  Time to motivate those buyers to switch turrets.  CaChing!

 

How can you possibly reduce somethings effect by 70% when it was "balanced" by previous updates months and months ago?  If Freeze was so OP why did you deceptive devs let it in the game for so long in all its OP-ness?

 

What kind of fool would pay real money to play this game when whatever you buy is subject to being turned into junk at any moment?  It sure isn't hard to see why Tanki has lost more than 100,000 players in a few years of bad update after bad update.

Freeze slows down the hull and turret. Freeze will continue to slow the hull but the nerf is only applied to the turret.. it means that a fronzen enemy will still be able to rotate the turret and attack.

It will be interesting to see if cryo rounds from smoky also gets this nerf. If not, it is hilarious that a smoky shot will freeze more than a turret called freeze, LOL.

Im finding it very difficult to trust Alternativa these days, they killed Tanki X and now theyre moving full steam ahead and killing TO as well. I hope they know that most people are not willing to spend  significant money on this game no more because of their alarming decline. The freeze nerf is completely unnecessary... the whole issue on balance was  fixed a while ago but a complete nerf on the unique properties of a turret is uncalled for. Freeze is supposed to greatly reduce speed and acceleration of the turret and hull in order to prevent being hit... Annoyed by it? Too bad, theyres too many ways to counter it. Protection, drones, overdrives, turret and hull choice... everything dies so fast in this game so why should an immobilizing freeze effect even be an issue in the first place, you would die anyway.

The simple and only explanation is that greedy Tanki wants to force players that use Freeze and others that have fully MUed protection from Freeze to move to different equipment and start the entire upgrading process again.  It has happened many times before; Twins, Vulcan, Magnum, Isida (it has made a bit of a comeback with a few buffs)., and others.  They used to do this every couple of months......The Turret Du Jour

 

When Tanki talks about balance they don't mean what we players assume means "trying to be equal".  Tanki actually means re-balance and they add or subtract weight as they see fit to promote sales.

i agree,that nerf was a bit much and to counter act with a .05 sec increase is hardly noticeable to make it justifiable.

Freeze is not supposed to let its enemies rotate its turret backward to attack it. In theory, Freeze's freezing effect must increase, not decrease to make Freeze a really good turret to use in close range combat.

I think the Alteration that removes the freezing ability is going to see a rise in popularity, especially with the upcoming sale.

Very possible since that is cheaper than buying a new turret and MUing it.  The game needs two Firebirds...one fire one acid (not).

 

My guess is that Tank will still get their way and most players will opt for a different turret and MUs.

I think that is just being communicated badly.  Currently, if you are completely frozen, you can move your turret and hull at 10% of your normal speed.  My best guess is that after update, your turret will move 20% of normal speed when completely frozen and your hull will still be at 10%.  So gives you a little better chance to fight back but a medium or light hull is still going to easily be able to circle you and avoid damage.

 

Shock freeze makes you completely frozen faster so this will have same impact on it.

 

Smoky cryo rounds rarely get anyone completely frozen this change would have same impact.

 

I think the same freezing effect is caused by dictator overdrive but again I don't think it is completely freezing you.

 

I think this is likely a bit of buff personally because my problem with freeze is more the short energy canister rather than the freezing effect being too weak.

The wording from "decreased freezing level from 90% down to 20%" suggests it is greater difference than you guess.

20% freezing would indicate you have 80% movement, no?

 

What?  Smoky cryo, upon a hit, brings target to a full-stop = 100% frozen. Every second after that target thaws a certain % and can move.

Like Wolverine848 said, it's 80% turret rotation speed and not 20%. So melee and short-ranged turrets have a much better chance of defending themselves now if the Freeze is circling them.

The thing with Cryo Rounds is that the critical hit instantly puts the minimum temperature and the the freezing animation ha to catch up. It's like lightning and thunder. Lightning flashes and its meter goes up to 100% immediately. Lightning triggers the thunder, which moves slower and takes time to get to 100%. 

 

This is why you really slow down to the lowest temperature 1 second after the shot hits you. The only reason they're not "completely" frozen is because they have Freeze protection.

Dictator definitely freeze the enemies for 100% of minimum temperature. I'll have to see if this nerf applies to Dictator's Overdrive when it's implemented.

On paper, this sounds like a big nerf for Freezes that circle enemies rather than stand directly in front of the enemies turret when firing. Incendiary Mix Firebird will likely come out on top even if the Freeze is circling it. What I'm going to like is that my Vulcan will have a better time against Freezes that will likely stop this from happening:

Nobody is talking about the new Damage Enemy Tanks mission? This seems like it could be a mission for multing. Just hit an enemy with a single Smoky shot for X amount of times and then leave.
