Mammoth's overdrive and new update

It's not a buff that offsets the loss of invulnerability - even though they make it sound that way.

I'm looking at them individually, and not tying them together. Look at it as if they were changes done on different days. One one day, Mammoth loses its invincibility. 2 days later, Wasp's bomb no longer deactivates the Overdrive if it happens to damage it.

Wasp bomb nerf was very needed since it made no sense for it to remove mammoths OD and it was one reason why it was OP (still OP though).

 

Mammoths invincibility removal however defeats the whole purpose of its immortality ability.

The problem with the developers is they fundamentally change the way a turrets/overdrives work because of simple things. We all wanted no drone or overdrive to survive the meteorite(kills everyone in the radius regardless), but instead they removed the invulnerability from mammoth which was a fundamental part of its gameplay. Now all you see are titans sitting under the drop zones and here we go again.... The devs seem to identity a problem after 6 months but fail miserably to balance it out. Just make everything die in the blast radius of the meteor, that way no one has any sort of advantage and the game will be balanced. Also the rework of freeze has some awkward and contradictory changes. I started reading and saw ‘3x faster freezing rate’ and got excited because that’s the step in the right direction of how your supposed to make a freeze. But then I saw a damage buff and I was like wait a minute they never addressed the stupid 20% turret speed reduction that EVERYONE was complaining about? Screw the damage, and give us back the normal 90% turret speed reduction. I played with the new changes and it is so awkward to play with, you think it’s freezing them a lot but you remember their turret still moves at basically full speed and yet you’re doing extra random damage (50% to 30%) that doesn’t fulfill the purpose of what freeze should be. We want freezing power, get rid of the damage buff; no one wanted damage. All these stupid changes ruining a fundamental aspect of a turret because of a simple thing; the team juggernaut mode.

now were going to see more Dictators and Firebirds in Halloween map . this way they burn tanks and with Dictators is higher then other tanks . so there most likely to take golds more.

They are meteor golds, Dictators wont help. 

Well, we can safely assume the Mammoth problem has been solved!

I played my very first battle after months today. What you did to Striker alteration Uranium is horrible. This alteration is pure trash now. At least edit the description in the garage.

 

I saw a lot of Titan with that dome alteration...

The problem is the number of Energy supplies available that allow an overdose of Overdrive on the Halloween map.

If we had only rof them like last year, it would have been less out of control. People would have to kill to recharge it.

Next time run your idea on the test servers instead of implementing live.

The gameplay is so different now. There are way too much factors to think about now.

 

Too many overdrives. It was more simple when there was only one. Now, you have to worry about being far away from any Hunter or they will troll you with that frustrating OD.

Exactly. Never thought I'd see the day where the main feature of a hull's overdrive is removed for some useless gold boxes...

they also gotta nerf lifeguard drone

instead of giving healing you at the very last moment when you are about to die, it should immediately give you bonus health right when you spawn.

Yeah, mammoth problem is solved but now theres this drone problem, titans can't do much anyway because of hunters so it's ok.

That's different though. The whole point of that drone is to be able to survive any fatal damage - Wasp bomb, Shaft with Booster, and even meteorites/rockets. Simply having extra health would ruin the drone, and while I admit that it's pretty OP for catching golds in this event, all drones are OP in specific situations so they're working as intended.

Yeah but there should be exceptions, it shouldn't save you if meteorite falls on you because that means you have way bigger advantage to catch golds than those who don't have it which ruins meteorite golds for others without drone.

No fun in this event. Hunter OD is just stupid.

 

Btw, what is wrong with the Client. It was perfect in January. And today, I get plenty of errors.

The Client is based on Flash, and Flash is... outdated.

Not good. Hunter' s overdrive is still way too good. should just stop everyone not unarm them i think and 25m range is still huge. Those complaining about titan check map now just hunters trolling titans. Also hornet's overdrive is useless. Should get very fast or something usefull i think. And client crashes all the time.

the mammoth changes are absolutely ridiculous. you changed its overdrive drastically, based on gold boxes. yo tanki online team, remember when you said "gold boxes are a bonus"? news flash lads, a bonus isnt meant to be a dictating gameplay mechanic. in standard matches mammoths overdrive was fine, you needed to use it tactically to make it effective. it was in a balanced state. but no, lets forget about the core game modes and focus on gold boxes, lets be honest,  anyone complaining about mammoths being op because it could get gold boxes easily was foolish, because gold boxes are simply a nice bonus and in no way, shape or form should influence balance changes that effect the core game. If you think gold boxes really should justify heavy balance changes then you are a buffoon.

I hate the new update on Uranium, and I preferred the map last year. It was easier to kill all the players before the Gold. There was a high hill and a nice bridge. This year, the map provides a lot of places to cover and also, players don't rush on Gold spot because it is meteor gold and not dropping from sky, so I can not troll players this year by killing them :D

 

Also, I hope Saturday it will be DM only and not Juggernaut mode. Nobody cares about the JGR player, so he gets a lot of kills and take all the funds.

 

 

The Client is based on Flash, and Flash is... outdated.

Not yet, still has one year to go and I saw some players complaining about the HTML5 browser version.
