Is there an official answer as to why the challenge is scheduled to end on the 29th (US time), but the mission page shows only 3 hours left on the 28th (US time)?

Unfortunately there was an error in the original announcement, the in game counter takes precedent over the announcement so the challenge will end 0200 UTC on the 29th.

Why wasn't the original announcement edited, or any clarification given anywhere else? Seems like it's an error in the missions game counter. 

 

Also, the original announcement states it's a 28 day duration, but really it's only a 27 day duration?

I really wanna apologize for this. It was absolutely my mistake and unfortunately nobody caught it until it was too late. The timer was correct. The mistake was in the announcement.

I acquired a total of 1384 stars this month over 5 accounts.

I managed to get to Tier 19 on all four accounts this month, so between 1000-1100 stars. One of them didn't make it last month.

However, I left myself too much to do yesterday and had to earn 23 stars on two accounts. Only got to 265 / Tier 19 on the last battle before the reset and it was really stressful, but got 10000 crystals.

Well, that apology calms my anger XD... No, the truth is that the only thing I regret is the 10 tankoins that I was going to win in the next 24 hours but it could have been much worse, I was just deciding whether to do the complete challenge in those last 3 days or not, it's good that I decided not to do it since it was going to be a terrible dislike because I thought that the one who was wrong was the accountant in the game, I asked Ninja in the chat since the forum was disabled those days but it seems that he was very busy or did not understand me haha, but anyway, all good
