Differences in Tanki

Mods can merge this and delete it if they want. I am just interested to see if my observations are correct. Two things:

1) When I self-destruct, I haven't been losing a kill. I've flipped and got angry only to realize I only gained a death. This has happened several times and now I am looking for it. Is this a new thing?

2) I really like the look of the HTML version but will not switch over currently. In old tanki, you can switch equipment between death and spawning without dying. However, when I change gear in html, I exit the garage to find that my old tank spawned in and I am force to self destruct. This seems bad and seems an unnecessary thing to change. I have tested this several times and it happens the same every time. Is there a way to change gear without selfing?

Will have to test the SD thing myself. Not sure if this is different in HTML5/Flash.

You can still change without respawn, just have a much smaller window of time compared to Flash because you need to mash 'PG' on your keyboard BEFORE your camera starts moving to respawn. That way you can change without dying.

Ahhhh....before the cam moves...thats relevant. In flash you can change any time before your tank appears. That makes sense, thanks

I noticed this earlier today when I flipped my Hunter. The funny thing was that I still wasn't sure of what exactly decreased when self-destructing, so I made a mental note of my score, kills and deaths. I had 8 deaths. I self-destruct and I see that I had 9 deaths but the other stats did not change.

I was using Flash.

I don't want to switch over at all because the old battle results screen is much more easier to read. HTML5 in battle kind of puts me off as well. Still need to mitigate the lag I get.

Not a very good solution.  Why is it like this?

We don't get to tailor equipment to map before battle starts.  Losing time in garage is already a penalty.  Adding SD+spawning to that just double-downs on the penalty.

I actually like the look if the html version...different but cool. If they could extend the time between spawns to change equipment Id be all over it

I didnt find it that much of a deal breaker compared to all the benefits I've had with HTML5, got used to it pretty quickly.

I'm still using Flash - will be a sad day when that link no longer works...
