Wow that's a lot better than expected, but let's see.

BTW I hope we don't get tons of supplies out of those cards because we have more than enough non-stop druggers already

Drugs are an integral part of Tanki  :P

Anyone else concerned about how much they raised the cost of supplies?

It is not like when we started 10 years ago and when supplies were as precious as gold ... back then it was also an extremely bad manner to use supplies - that was a clear certification of being a Noob ...

now ... everyone is a Noob ...

Who cares now about the cost of supplies when they are actually pouring from everywhere - containers, challenges, mobile version, etc

Supplies are now virtually free and their value is now degraded to 0 (zero) ... as is the overall gameplay btw ...

I have yet to earn enough supplies to keep up with a challenge, You end up using more than you're earning in my case. All my friends buy supplies and I'd think supplies have a bit of impact in tankis revenue especially in higher ranks where every battle is a drug battle :) . So I can think of two reasons why tanki would want to make it harder to buy supplies and more expensive, 1. For Money 2. To try to control the drug battle in every match. I myself am aiming for option #1.

Can't imagine why is this even a thing? Who would pay literally hundreds of dollars for that? I'm not a hardcore player, but I can comfortably earn 1000 stars in 1 week of playing.

I don't think even a person with a cash tree would buy it. They simply pay other players less than 10th of this price to complete same amount of stars.

The supply and battery prices are too high.  Prices have been increased several times in the last few months and this is simply too much.  I don't mind spending a bit of money per month to keep repairs and batteries topped off but I will not spend any more money at these prices.

I find it particularly obnoxious that you would have something available on "sale" like 1500 batteries with "20%" off when the price is actually significantly higher than buying two 750 battery kits the day before.

Dude ... to earn 1k stars in a week time you need to complete 334 battles, providing you receive 3 stars in each and every of these battles.

Then, 334 battles will take 2338 minutes of your time ... per day it means 334 minutes or arnd 6 hours (3 hours with premium) of intensive gaming each and every day during the week ... this is as hardcore, as it can get !

He probably has premium (it would take 167 minutes per day)

+++ Would be nice if someone from tanki could explain a little bit why they had to raise the cost of supplies twice this year. (When Tankoins came out and now). I had a deal yesterday for 1000 repair kits (-50%) for 2490 tankoins.. Two days before that I would've got 1500 of each supply for 10 more tankoins (2500). How are they calling these "deals"?

It's like eating the same burger twice it's original price but in a fancier restaurant.

Makes sense, Html Tanki is the fancier restaurant and flash Tanki is the unfancy restaurant. I myself still go to the unfancy restaurant meaning I want my 2500 priced burger and not these so called deals the fancier restaurant has to offer.

exactly what I said - 334 minutes or arnd 6 hours (3 hours with premium) of intensive gaming each and every day

.. no one with a brain undamaged will spend more than an hour daily to a computer game ... especially this one )))

the realistic number of stars one can earn per week is like 100 to 200 max max .... in no case 1k ... this sounds  ... ridiculous, to say the least ...

Since I have the battle pass, I receive x2 the stars which is usually 6, 4 or 2 per battle. Sure I play a 1-3 hours a day, everyday if I have time, but I was comparing myself to the legitimately hardcore players who play 6 hours per day or more.

Premium gives you double stars, not the Battle Pass.

Many players spend more than one hour per day on video game, and they have perfect teenager brain filled with energy and desire to be the best.

The top reward of the Challenge are not for casual players. Saying that if you carry on playing as usual, you still get the extra rewards from the silver tiers of the challenges. So casual player do see the benefit from the challenges.

If the top rewards was easy to get, they would lose their intersect value. It is because they are hard to get that they have a high interest value. to vary a little you have the war witch propose smaller challenges and vary in nature.

Exactly. Challenges, as well as other elements of the game, are meant to have different accessibility levels. You need some that are meant for everyone and are easy to get, and you need a few that are much tougher to get and appeal to hardcore gamers. If you don't have that, the game will lose its appeal to hardcore gamers, because it will lack the element of effort vs reward. Why bother getting something if everyone else can get it with minimum effort.

Any game needs both types of players - casual gamers and hardcore gamers. Both groups contribute to the experience. Casual gamers create "bulk", which is indispensable for an MMO. But hardcore gamers bring competitiveness and freshness to the game. We need to cater for both, and that's one of the biggest challenges any game development studio must face.

This is understandable - however - casual gamers have 2 issues with this.

1) Challenges affect individual battles for everyone.  Many players ignore the battle-mode goals totally, only focussing on getting lots of stars.  So Rugby, CTF and Assualt have become TDM battles instead.  Why die trying to cap a flag (and waste time re-spawning) when you can just kill a whole bunch of tanks.

2) The War has doubled down on Challenges as something for hardcore players.  It's all or nothing - unlike the first two Wars which were fun for hard-core & casual players.
