Snazzy new forum

Hey,

 

So you've probably noticed that after a couple of days of downtime, we now have a new, updated forum. So far, it feels like it works A LOT better than the old one. And it looks nicer too.

 

What do you think? Anything amiss or out of place? Maybe something we could ask our web programmers to implement (within reason — no pink unicorns please)?

 

Let us know. Marcus and I will be taking notes and adding our own feedback, which we'll escalate during the next meeting with management.

This looks great! What I love is that we can directly upload files, rather than get a direct image link from Discord or Imgur.

 

One thing I would change is the inclusion of rank icons like in the previous forum.

Looks nice, feels like the Tanki X forum.

Some suggestions;

1. Add the players rank as their avatars and automatically updates as players rank up.

2. Add the recent posts column on the right side of the main page.

3. Add some custom reaction emotes.

4. Add helpers position on the roles name, since it states "General".

5. Add a leaderboard.

6. Add tabs on top, which are quicklinks to the main website, wiki, discord, and help site.

7. Take a look at the Tanki X forum for other ideas.

Here are some things I don't like:

 

I don't like that you removed the ranks here, looked way better with the ranks.

 

 

All these letters don't look really good. Why can't we pick our own profile pictures!? I'm sure that it's not difficult to moderate inappropriate pictures. It works in all other forums as well.

 

Lastly, I got two questions. How do we use spoilers? I think that so many images make it look confusing, if not in a spoiler. Any why can we still not edit our profiles???

ok as I know from a mod system is still under works for posting in forum.

 

so what is also going on .. earlier you could go into forum and then leave . with out names in forum being posted. now if you go into forum and then leave the posting of names in forum now stays for anyone to see.. photos below // sorry still not use to new system just yet..

we need rainbow  cotton candy piggies ..

There is already a flaw with this new forum. The new emojis system are unnecessary and almost freezes up the whole page. The old emojis system were fine as they were.

I don't think that's possible, but even if it is.. it means more work for mods.
