Are you ready for Siege?

The only real downside I see to this mode is more dilution of the player pool at any given time which will force MM to widen rank brackets in all modes and increase wait times in the off hours.  Right now it is very hard to enter a Rugby or ASL battle for a few hours around restart time.  Siege will just make this worse.  Since MM will be forced to widen rank brackets to fill battles, battles in all modes will become more difficult (at least for me since I ALWAYS seem to be the lowest ranked player in every battle).

This is not a good sign of things to come... and... that was my experience in the battles played as well.  So far - not a fan.

 

Agree completely with your note on player dilution.  Have been saying this ever since ASL and RGBY were introduced.

Click on the button with the four squares right next to the "PLAY" button, then look for siege, click it and wait. This is for HTML5 and mobile.

 

For flash (if it has siege) should just click play in its box and wait.

I've played a coupe of Siege battles and enjoyed them, had a proper fight over point A in Highways (the highest one), trying to kill the campers before they kill you and pushing enemies off the bridge

 

I think capping time should be shorter if you are closer to the point though

[BUG]

 

After playing a few Siege battles, I spotted a bug where the captured control point does not re-spawn to a new location. Below I took a screenshot for proof that this Siege point bug does actually exist.

Please fix this bug as soon as possible and let us know.

To be honest, I find "Siege" quite enjoyable ( seeing people running here and there following each point ? , at least less shafts to worry about there :x ) ... untill Titans come and ruin it; they kinda dictate the mode and the number of Titans determine at some point the outcome of the game (whether your team is going to win or no).

I'm frankly not good with titan but that's my experience with it :FeRv0lM.png

Not that impressive, but to compare the whole D/L ratio of my team with the enemy team that had just one titan while we had a few...

I like this game mode, but there is a small problem. The point takes too long to be captured by players, even if the whole team holds the point. It ended in a draw. Why does it takes so long to capture a point in the Siege game mode. That makes it almost impossible for players to win. Please make points load faster.

I think the whole point of the mode is based on that; you basically get to capture the point 5 times (as far as I saw) to close the game.

If they speed-up it up, I'm pretty sure some battles would end in practically no time and you'll see people not playing the mode anymore for that particular reason.

The mode makes no sense.  is it supposed to be played like polygon CP?  Cuz that's what is happening and... ?

It makes sense, since they intended for it to have carnage constantly. If more players are on the point, then it captures slower, which allows the enemy more time to come back and clear them out, and the cycle continues until a team captures.

True, and I expect that at least 50% of the playerbase wouldn't understand the specifics and optimal tactics, so every game might as well be the same.

True, and I expect that at least 50% of the playerbase wouldn't understand the specifics and optimal tactics, so every game might as well be the same. 

It's Polygon CP - the OLD version with 1 CP.   Yeah... hard pass. ⛔

Also, it give only 15 points, for waiting like a sitting duck for 20 to 30 seconds, if there's no enemy. I prefer to go and kill enemies, I can make 30 to 45 points in those 30 seconds, instead of waiting at a point.

 

Tanki made a lot of change to make the game more dynamic and now, it asks us to stay at a point and wait to be lucky enough there no enemy with Hunter or Titan that will come and kill you, ending up with 0 point and 20 seconds wasted.

Dome dome dome dome. Really, call this mode "Dome" and not "Siege". The team with most Titans wins.

 

Seriously, since you introduced the OD for each hull, you ruined everything. You were forced to change the Mammoth OD because of Golds. Soon, you will change Titan OD because of Siege, I can bet on it.

 

Look at this, so one sided.

But Siege is gonna become unpopular soon since it's only dome war.

All these new battle-modes water down the player-pool available per mode.  So you either wait a long time or end up in battles with a crazy wide rank-spread.

 

These new modes need to be placed in Pro-Battles (which no longer cost anything to play) so the basic modes CTF/TDM/CP have a decent-sized player pool.

Well, now that I think about it. It makes sense now because tanki has been supporting their exploiters for awhile now. This game has become Exploit2Win, and I'm sure you have also noticed.

I honestly think we should only have 2 game modes in MM: 1 solo and 1 team based. The team based one should have the concepts of all the team game modes (except siege) mushed into it be called the new ASL (old ASL be renamed to AVD). The solo game mode should reward kill streaks and ending kill streaks with extra points.

one team based mode which would be like assault?
If they relased that, tanki would die in one week.

Doubt it. If anything, it would result in a thicker player base in it resulting in:

 ·Less wait times.

 ·More balanced battles.

 ·Maybe even winning conditions be made higher and length of battles be made longer.

 ·Game being more simple in MM.

How would that result in more balanced battles?
lenght of battles is okay as it is. Wait time is okay now imo.
and game being more simple?
Game in MM is alredy simple enough. Only a really stupid player can't play more than one format.
