Um... explanations for new overdrive situation????

Every siege battle is a titans stranglehold. Not surprising that it has become that way, though.

I think the Titan vs Titan battles are much better since the change - it's added a bit more complexity to Titan use in siege.

Despite defending it earlier bc I wanted to see light and heavy hulls succeed more, I've gotta agree that hornet really causes so bad battles...mainly when put with magnum and Gauss. Yesterday I lost 5 ctf battles 0-5 mainly bc a mag hornet would run into our base with OD active, and obliterate our defenses...there was nothing we could do...absolutely not player agency in the outcome...enemy mag sees you? You're dead whatever you do. That doesnt lead to good gameplay

Yeah siege is now better since now if the enemy has two or more titans and one or more dictators, I can't do nothing about it. Soo fun.

 

This is the main reason why siege should never have been born. It should have just died in its Damn womb.

That's not Titan on Titan then?

I don't see how the dome being easier to disable including by other Titans, and not healing others, has made the situation you describe harder to deal with than before. It's made it more dynamic.

Sounds like you just don't like siege *shrug*

I don't see how camping on a point is considered "dynamic".

 

You're right, I don't like siege. But at least I have valid points as to why it shouldn't have ever been added.

Would've been better if the two domes cancel out each other, making them both disappear. But I'll give credit where credit is due. They at least "tried" to make it a counter to another titan.

I'm not a fan of "last one to activate wins" mechanics of the domes.  They should cancel out.  So 2nd tiitan has the option of placing dome elsewhere and keeping - OR - sacrificing it to take out the other dome.  Adds a bit more tactics IMO.

For every second Titan 2 cuts off, Titan 2 loses that many seconds of their own dome.  

 

Say Titan 1 placed his dome down 17 seconds ago, and Titan 2 deactivates it.  The dome will be 17 seconds.

My idea would have been for Titan 2 to disable Titan 1's dome if Titan 1's dome was up for more than 10 seconds. If it was up for less than 10 seconds, then Titan 2's dome would do what wolverine suggests. 

 

Yours sounds better though.
